Applications of the active ingredient tamsulosin

Tamsulosin is used in the treatment of benign prostate enlargement to relieve the symptoms of a urinary drainage disorder. These symptoms include difficult and frequent nocturnal urination. If the prostate is already greatly enlarged, it can even lead to urinary incontinence.

More detailed information is available on the following Tamsulosin application areas:

Effect of Tamsulosin

Tamsulosin belongs to the group of the Alpha-Sympatholytika. It works specifically on the alpha-1 receptors in the genitourinary tract. Alpha-1 receptors are special binding sites of the sympathetic fibers of the autonomic nervous system, which are normally activated by the body’s own messengers adrenaline and norepinephrine. Tamsulosin displaces these endogenous messenger substances at the receptors and thus suppresses their effect.

Alpha-1 receptors are located on certain muscle cells within the tissue of the prostate gland (prostate). The prostate lies in a ring around the urethra, which leads outward from the bladder. As part of a benign prostate enlargement, the mechanical narrowing of the urethra by the greatly enlarged prostate gland occurs. In addition, there is also an increased tension of the smooth muscles in the prostate tissue, which enhances the urinary drainage disorder. This smooth muscle cell tension mediated by alpha-1 receptors is lowered by tamsulosin. The urethral narrowing is reduced, making urination much easier

Tamsulosin is very long. In addition, unlike other alpha-sympatholytic drugs, there has been no unwanted drop in blood pressure so far.

    Tamsulosin for Prostatic

The second night, after I started taking it, I noticed an increased urination. Instead of 1-2 times a night to go to the toilet, I had to go 3-4 times. The urinary urgency increased during the day, so I had to go to the toilet at shorter intervals. I discontinued the medication and after 2-3 days my urinary had returned to normal and I was able to get out of the house without having to think about the next visit to the toilet.

    Side effects: Urinary frequency

    Tamsulosin for Prostatic

For almost 2 years I take one capsule of tamsulosin 0.4 mg daily after dinner. The symptoms of benign prostate enlargement, such as frequent nocturnal urination and associated bad and often interrupting sleep are significantly reduced. On average, I get up only 2-3 times at night to go to the bathroom. Significantly rarer than before taking the drug. As a side effect, however, occur in ejaculatory disorders, the form that the seed or part of the seed goes into the bladder. A more pleasant side effect is the increase in frequency and intensity of nocturnal erections, which I do not find uncomfortable.

    Side effects: Ejaculatory

I was prescribed Tamsulosin because I had a tension in the anal area (I have not noticed) and after a bladder infection. The Pippi should then flow through more relaxed. However, from the first day I had a bit of dizziness and circulatory problems. Since the 2nd day on erection problems and ejaculation problems. There was no ejaculate out and feelings of orgasm. No nice feelings. I can not recommend the drug that way.
