Applications of the active ingredient tamsulosin

Tamsulosin is used in the treatment of benign prostate enlargement to relieve the symptoms of a urinary drainage disorder. These symptoms include difficult and frequent nocturnal urination. If the prostate is already greatly enlarged, it can even lead to urinary incontinence.

More detailed information is available on the following Tamsulosin application areas:

  • benign prostate enlargement

Effect of Tamsulosin

Tamsulosin belongs to the group of the Alpha-Sympatholytika. It works specifically on the alpha-1 receptors in the genitourinary tract. Alpha-1 receptors are special binding sites of the sympathetic fibers of the autonomic nervous system, which are normally activated by the body’s own messengers adrenaline and norepinephrine. Tamsulosin displaces these endogenous messenger substances at the receptors and thus suppresses their effect.

Alpha-1 receptors are located on certain muscle cells within the tissue of the prostate gland (prostate). The prostate lies in a ring around the urethra, which leads outward from the bladder. As part of a benign prostate enlargement, the mechanical narrowing of the urethra by the greatly enlarged prostate gland occurs. In addition, there is also an increased tension of the smooth muscles in the prostate tissue, which enhances the urinary drainage disorder. This smooth muscle cell tension mediated by alpha-1 receptors is lowered by tamsulosin. The urethral narrowing is reduced, making urination much easier

Tamsulosin is very long. In addition, unlike other alpha-sympatholytic drugs, there has been no unwanted drop in blood pressure so far.

Tamsulosin for High blood pressure; Prostatic

About 3 weeks after taking Tamsulosin Basics I got persistent strong irritating cough that was not first brought in connection with the mentioned drug. The treating physicians and the specialist saw no connection with this drug. Tamsulosin Basics was taken in the evening, at night, coughing fits made sleep almost impossible and agony. Many nights were slept sitting in a chair. After discontinuing Tamsulosin Basics, nocturnal coughing seizures became less but are still present.

The drug caused me severe dizziness without warning, a sense of loss of control, not only when walking or standing but also while sitting, in my case at 140Km / h on the highway. I think the side effects are absolutely unacceptable and extremely dangerous.

    Tamsulosin for Urinary frequency

After about 2 weeks the nocturnal urination gradually subsided, from the third week the nocturnal urination was completely gone. Even during the day I was able to water much better than before. One week ago I got problems with the water during the day, which is expressed in the fact that I almost always have urinary urgency but can only relieve myself drop by drop or with a very weak ray. At night I can still sleep through. I’m going to try the drug again.

    Side effects: No side effects

Since I inject Copaxone once a day my MS is stable, no relapses, no more memory loss, the spasms are suppressed by Lioresal. Tamsulosin prevents my previously occurring behavior, but you have to dose precisely because otherwise incontinence can easily occur. Movikol released me from my constipation, but do not overdose, 1 sachet a day is enough for me. Urbretid I take in addition to urinary regulation. Additionally magnesium and calcium. In the case of migraine (hereditary) that occurs easily with me, I use Almogram, helps me 100%.

    Side effects: No side effects

Male, 54 years Good immediate effect on day 1 with regard to the reduction of urination in benign prostate enlargement. Approximately 5 hours after ingestion swelling of the nasal mucous membranes. Perceived respiratory distress also in the upper lung area so not enough air to get, not to be able to breathe deeply. Complaints disappeared within 4 hours. On the second day, respiratory distress symptoms about 3 hours after ingestion. Tense feeling in the pond of the bronchi. Feeling unable to get enough oxygen and to breathe deeply. Pulse and blood pressure increase (probably because of anxiety). 3 day treatment aborted. No new respiratory symptoms since demolition.

    Side effects: Respiratory complaints

Negative side effects of tamsulosin outweigh the benefits. First intake over 4-5 weeks had to be stopped. Blood pressure from too high to deep, dizziness, nausea, shortness of breath, stuffy nose, blurred vision and burning eyes. Pain in legs and shoulder joints. Itchy skin with rash. Sport no longer possible. After 3 months further attempt to take the same result. Urination was only slightly better during ingestion. Pain unchanged. For some of the serious side effects, the benefit was close to zero. Am on natural products such as z. Pumpkin seed oil and kernels, D-Mannose, Craneberry, etc. switched.
