Yes, we just have to go through it if we want to LIVE. Have been on therapy with Zoladex and Tamox for three years. Diagnosis I got when I was 37 years and my little one just 3.. In three weeks – if everything o.k. is – drops the syringe. Then the Tamox probably 2 years. I did not believe the whole thing with the side effects at first. But it’s really what our doctors say to us – unbelievableI used to say that they should not be so stupid, but meanwhile I do not say anything anymore. I’m currently building such small pillars, such as After stopping the syringe it gets a little better, or something. It’s not all that easy, but when I read the other reports, I’m actually doing relatively well with the whole thing. And by the way: I have noticed that the whole thing is much easier when you see everything a bit looser and all the stress of us 150% wanting women, mothers, housewives and sharp workers! The last holiday in GR was also hot, but I did not care more than any other. At home, I can change clothes three times a day and change sheets every other day – yes, yes, but the main thing is that we work! And then the rest in a nutshell: Reduction of vision – Doc says it can not be that way – in my opinion, I am as blind as a eagle-owl, but then there will probably be other reasons. Vaginal dryness nd libido loss – whether the relationship will survive that will turn out. Bone pain I had at the beginning of Theraüoe. by now, but relatively rare, I’m definitely not as resilient as before and now try to implement a humorous and bearable level for me. My goal is actually only to experience the 20th birthday of my child. Best regards and all the best from Tyrol.

    Tamoxifen for Breast cancer

After the breast op. chemo and 38 irradiations everything survived. However, the tamoxifen makes me very busy. Since taking 2.5 years ago, I have extreme bones and joint pain, there are still strong hot flashes, so that in medium-heavy work, the water just runs and sleep is completely out of the question. It takes all the strength out of everyone, which of course has an effect on my work (I’m tired fast and powerless)

I can only experience to the contrary that I lost 8kg in 18months without change of diet, did not have any more mastopathies which were very painful and after 15 months the period did not materialize, which I found very positive. Disadvantage is the joint and bone pain (where I possibly tamoxifen absetze) because I work in amb. Nursing work, where much physical use is verlant. Hitzwallung I did not feel annoying.

After chemotherapy and radiation I started tamoxifen. Since then, my eyes have become much worse. In addition, I suffer from edema, weight gain, numb feet and fingers, hair loss, vaginal dryness and bone pain. I hope that over time it will be possible to work normally again. At the moment, I struggle to do anything for a few hours a day.

Hot flashes of tamoxifen in the beginning were very strong, but then significantly less. Bones u. Joint pain was bearable, I could with gymnastics, Nordic walking, swimming thermal bath, warm showers, a lot of exercise, well he wear. After taking Femara, the complaints were much stronger, in addition to thinner hair, inflammation of the mouth have increased, dry eyes. Hot flashes have gotten better, but now I’m tired faster after physical work. My bones-u. Joint pain is especially severe during rest and nocturnal awakenings. At the joint approaches I have pressure pain, can not wring out very well wipes, can not clean well, had a lumbar spine surgery after herniated disc 4 years ago. Will that get better after stopping taking Femara? What else can I do to make it more bearable except taking Diclofenac 75, which will help me well but not so often? I have to last another two years.

After taking Tamoxifen for 15 months, I am currently ready to discontinue this drug on the spot. The hot flashes are limited, worse is the total exhaustion and fatigue. Can not go 50 steps without being completely out of breath, climbing stairs is an abomination !!! Because of diabetes melitus 2, I have been trying for some time to lose weight. Unfortunately this does not succeed. In addition, there is a buildup of water in the right ankle, occasionally bone and joint pain, which I get control of with Voltaren tablets. Since the second month of use, increased vaginal discharge has occurred. Since I have a lot to do in my job and my quality of life is also very important to me, I will try to have other tablets like Fareston or Evista prescribed.

I am taking Tamoxifen 20mg since January 2010. First, I had extreme hot flashes and sweats. This has settled after about 4 – 5 months. Hot flashes rarely occur. But I suffer from severe bone pain and water retention, especially in the feet. I have totally broken fingernails. However, what I am particularly worried about is the weight gain of now about 12 kg. And my eyesight has deteriorated in the past few months. Lymphatic drainage helps with the water retention, I take homeopathic remedies for joint pain. Furthermore, I started Nordic Walking. Since then, my general condition has improved a lot.

I had a breast conserving surgery after diagnosis of early stage breast cancer and then 36 exposures. So far, no further cancer findings, but: Severe sleep disorders, frequent and strong hot flashes with subsequent freezing, especially at night, loss of eyesight, bones and joint pain, morning stiffness (especially in the back). I’m going to ask the Society for Biological Cancer Defense what to do and if I really need to take tamoxifen for another 2.5 years. The idea is horror. Against the hot flashes I take Remifemin with moderate success since 2 years. I can recommend 2 books dealing with biological cancer defense: 1. Cancer cells do not like raspberries and 2. Combat cancer with vitamin B 17. Get well soon for all concerned. Connie S.

since I take tamoxifen no metastases have occurred but the price is high. My life has changed completely. I can not live without medication against the bone pain at all, in addition there is defeat. Driverlessness (some days I would like to crawl under the blanket only) “In the last two and a half years I have gotten so thin that I am thinking of buying a wig. In addition, there are still dizziness and gang insecurity. When I look in the mirror, then I see that I am old. your rating: recommendation as a patient you can not recommend the drug but there are only two remedies for hormone-dependent carcinomas and they are quite different. I took femara 3 months and then discontinued because of intolerable side effects. So only tamoxifen remained.

    Tamoxifen for Breast cancer

Hello, I’m taking this verda for 3 years now … Tamoxifen. I was hoping until some time ago that the side effects would be less severe, but right now I would like to sink the stuff in the toilet. As side effects I have muscle cramps in the entire legs and hands, bone and joint pains, heat waves (minor evils), frequent malaise, sleep disturbances, and in the 2nd year extreme weight gain (10kg), I may at the time hold, but losing weight seems impossible and where no one talks about it so far is the desire for sex, which is equal to zero for me! The whole burden not only myself, but the partner and by my often bad mood the whole family. At the next doctor’s appointment, I’ll talk about a demolition, although apparently has something good … I do not know …
