Action of naproxen
Naproxen has the same mode of action as the other nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs from the subgroup of propionic acid compounds.
When pain develops, messengers, the prostaglandins, are released, which irritate the nerve endings and send pain signals to the brain. In the brain there is pain perception and pain processing.
Naproxen inhibits the production of prostaglandins and so relieves pain and inflammation. It therefore has anti-inflammatory, decongestant and analgesic. By influencing the temperature control center in the brain it also has a fever-reducing effect.
Potential Naproxen side effects may include:

Naproxen used to treat the following diseases:

Naproxen for Pain (joint)
I take the medicine as needed. But so far only 3 tablets each in 2 days. The duration of analgesia is about 5-8 days. Side effects I have observed today: Slight sweating and very mild heart pain after taking the 1st tablet. I bought the remedy in Spain under Naprosyn. I can walk again relatively painless and my right shoulder is also painless. However, naproxen has no effect on my finger joints of both hands (2 and 4). I assume that this is psoriatic arthritis.
Swelling of the eyes and lips, with aspirin even swelling of the larynx, thus no more voice. In dolormin and naproxen, swelling (edema) lasts for almost 24 hours. For aspirin only 12 hours.
Except for stomach pressure no further serious side effects. Pain was under control.
Naproxen for Inflammation
The pain at night did not improve at all. Dizziness, weight gain, constipation
Side effects: Dizziness
Naproxen for Inflammation
It helps quite well, but stomach problems occur
Naproxen for Migraine
Take it with migraine, sometimes before a suppository for nausea in an acute attack and for prophylaxis around menstruation Helps very well against migraine headache, unfortunately severe intestinal colic.
Side effects: Stomach pain
Naproxen for Migraine
I have tried many medications for migraine attacks and nothing really helped. Since the seizures are often associated with the pill break, I have been prescribed naproxen for menstrual problems, etc. If I take one, the migraine complaints will be gone within 30 minutes. Sometimes I feel a little dizzy or feel very hungry, but otherwise these tablets are optimally compatible for me and (unfortunately) from now on my constant companion – absolutely recommendable!
Side effects: Dizziness
Naproxen for Pain (acute)
At noon 1 tablet (550mg) taken, in the evening fever – the whole night, since then temperature between 37 ° and 38.5 ° – mostly 38 °. On the second day, swelling appeared over the ears and forehead on the hairline, as well as a swollen lymph node in the neck. The swellings have been going down since then and arrived at the tip of the nose today on the 4th day. They are almost gone on the forehead. The whole thing for a single tablet!
Naproxen for Rheumatism
no side effects
Side effects: No side effects
Naproxen for Pain (menstruation)
I tolerated the drug well and regretted having lived so many years without this remedy. However, combined with a hot bed bottle, the effect is even better.
Side effects: No side effects

Naproxen for Pain (menstruation)
Nausea for several hours, dizziness, weakness
Side effects: Nausea; Dizziness
I now take proxy 500mg twice a day for 40 days. I’ve been feeling a bit sick every day since then and I have digestive problems.
Side effects: Nausea
Pain in the leg – the sciatica hurt by the orthopedist Naproxen 250 mg. After the soak time of 120 minutes was reached, the pain was turned off very well throughout the working day. Almost without side effects, I was able to take 750 mg naproxen for 7 days (500 mg in the morning and 250 mg in the evening). I just realized I got a little worse awake in the first two days.
Side effects: Fatigue
In naproxen, I get dizzy and become extremely tired and impotent. But that settles after about 4 hours. Without naproxen, I would not have got my sinusitis under control. With Amoxicillin, I had felt no effect at all, even though I took 3x 1000mg for 14 days. But I did not get any side effects. Only the headache disappeared after 4 days, which I had by the pressure of suppuration.
Side effects: Fatigue; Dizziness
Naproxen for Rheumatism
No effect on the joints after 3 weeks, only abdominal pain as a side effect, now switching to Meloxicam Hexal 15mg for a few days. Abdominal pain is gone.
