Applications of the active ingredient Lorazepam

Lorazepam is used for the short-term treatment of acute and chronic anxiety disorders and nervousness associated with psychosis and depression. However, lorazepam is only used if the symptoms can not be sufficiently controlled with the commonly used antidepressants or neuroleptics. Lorazepam can treat only the symptoms here, not the causes of the disease.

In addition, Lorazepam is used for the short-term treatment of sleep disorders such as falling asleep and staying asleep if they significantly impair the quality of life or are also associated with anxiety. In the case of insomnia, the active ingredient should only be administered if a calming effect is also desired during the day.

Lorazepam is also used as a solution for alleviating the symptoms of ongoing epileptic seizures (status epilepticus).

In addition, Lorazepam is used to calm (sedate) patients before diagnostic, as well as before and after surgical procedures.

The active substance belongs to the Benzodiazepinen and may be prescribed only after careful medical benefit-risk-weighing. The duration of treatment should be as short as possible, as the drug quickly makes dependent. Therefore, the treatment, including the gradual withdrawal phase, should not exceed four weeks.

For the following application areas of Lorazepam , in-depth information is available:

Effect of Lorazepam

Lorazepam is one of the medium-acting benzodiazepines. This means that the active ingredient and its main metabolite are halfway out of the body after about 12 to 16 hours.

Lorazepam binds to the receptors specific to this drug group in the brain. The active ingredient thus enhances the inhibitory effect of the messenger GABA on different nerve nodes in the central nervous system (CNS). In this way, Lorazepam tensions, tension and anxiety-calming as well as calming and sleep-inducing. In higher doses, it may also reduce the tendency to epileptic seizures.

helps very well and quite a long time, the problem with the benzo is that you really should not take it like 2-3 days, since it can already lead to dependency. the weaning after only 3 days are very uncomfortable on lorazepamI did it for 2 to 4 weeks a day on 2mg. after a month ca I had very big problems with it. An initial physical dependence was already felt.

    Lorazepam for Anxiety disorders

Diazepam is well tolerated, makes you permanently dependent and you have to take more of it. Mirtazepin is not my case. Except appetizing, it does not help me. Lorazepam is not bad, but it has bad side effects. Not recommended.

    Side effects: Appetite increase; Dependence

As Tavor got prescribed I was still quite young and in terms of drugs inexperienced, unfortunately, this has led to a dependency on Benzodiazepines of all kinds. Unfortunately, the doctor who prescribed it for me has never mentioned how high the addictive potential of this drug is or whether it is a benzodiazepine. The first time I had the instruction leaflet in my hand (got it stationary before, since you have no choice and probably no right to information) it was already too late and the retirement after a few years was hell. However, over time I also consumed other Benzos. Several years have passed since the first weaning, and once I got my taste, I had a long relapse last year, but I managed to regain my grip by slowly dosing down on my own. Lorazepam is a really good scavenger and has made life easier for me in the first time, but over time it lasts and you have to increase the dose and in the long run it has put a lot of strain on my addiction.

Lorazepam for Unrest; Anxiety disorders; Sleep disorders

Tavor or Lorezepam in itself works well but it does cause thought disorder, concentration disorder, and one takes everything on the easy shoulder, one makes things without thinking, can also bring you into difficulties if you take too long. From my own experience, I know that lorezepam is not a recommended drug. The reasons for that, firstly, it makes a short time dependent on it already 10 days and the body and the psychic are dependent. At first this is the best antidepressant because it works very fast but in the long run it makes you broken, you become sluggish, unresponsive, and it does also cause other things such as dependence on other things that is pure addiction. My recommendation is to stay away from tavor, lorezepam, diezepam, whatever benzodiazepine content has to do with it. Dear people almost do not have the stuff even if their doctor has prescribed it for you. I was in Stuttgart with a neurologist who has treated me only with lorezepam not more and did not even enlighten me as may have consequences for example dependency I had for three weeks in the addiction clinic to get off the stuff or better get away and in those three weeks I went through hell wil I wanted to get rid of the fucking. Since I do not take it I am much better I am active again before I was only at home and slept or sat in front of the television but unfortunately God

Tolerance increases fast, thus high addictive potential … take it only as an emergency remedy for acute panic attacks … approx. 1 time a month or less … then it helps in a small dosage of 0.5mg very calming and makes something sleepy, but I feel in a panic attack only as a treat … because I start soon with the intake of Citalopram , it may be that I often have to resort to Lorazepam during the creeping phase …

Lorazepam for Heart rhythm disturbances; Borderline; Depression

For over 4 months, I have taken the first 3 drugs mentioned above in the clinic. 400-500 mg Seroquel, initially 45, then 30 mg mirtazipine and 1-1.5 mg lorazepam. Initially, strong weight gain (11 kg), continued hunger for sweets, meanwhile I have lost half of my hair. I have been suffering from hair loss for about 2.5 months, need more sleep and get up very hard in the morning. My liver values have been slightly elevated since taking the medication and must be constantly monitored.

I have taken a single tablet in strong restlessness and panic attacks, the effect was zero! I do not take this medicine anymore! Apparently you have to take a larger amount, a single tablet has zero effect.

Lorazepam for Pain (acute); Heart rhythm disturbances

I only take this medication from time to time when I can not stand it anymore. I suffer from fibromyalgia, chronic skeletal pain and palpitations with panicacies. I have already tried a lot of medications, nothing has helped. If I did not have the lorezepam and I would not want to live the pain anymore. Obviously the lorezepam are addictive, so I do not get them prescribed on a regular basis. But the doctors also ask themselves what life is like without the helpful drug. Other medicines also make you dependent, eg. Tilidin, which I always get prescribed, however, does not help and has much more side effect than the Lorezepam.I would like to have a dignified life, as it is said so beautiful ,,,, the dignity of man is inviolable. The doctors can me do not prescribe a remedy that does not make you dependent and helps you. Now I ask you: do you prefer to live with pain, you have no more life or you take a drug that makes life bearable !!!

    Lorazepam for Social phobia

Lorazepam works very well, but it is difficult to estimate how much you need from it. It makes you calmer inside, muffled, a bit tired. The fear sinks extremely, however one becomes thereby somehow humid a little bit. That means you can not remember everything so exactly later. Things are forgotten faster. Acts like a fucking-no-pill
