    Doxepin for Depression

Hi, About 5 years ago I got Doxepin (Apona) because of depression and anxiety disorders, at first I had a lot of weight gain and that made the depression even worse. The drug has made me a bit sluggish and therefore probably the weight gain. In the morning, a depression / fatigue is there when I take the drug after 19.00 clock. The effect against the fear is not convincing, only with panic attacks it brings something if one takes 1-2 tablets (50-100mg). A dependency is easily available, I have in the meantime discontinued the medication 3x and had to crawl slowly (over 1-2 weeks) in order not to fight with tremors and restlessness. Already had a dependency on analgesics (Valoron) and the addiction in Doxepin is minimal. So I would rate Doxepin with a low addictive potential. I did not feel any other side effects. There was no interaction with complete drugs: Aspirin / Paracetamol / Diclofinac / Iboprofen 600

    Doxepin for Sleep disorders; Depression

From Cipralex, I have gained just under 20 pounds within a week, then outgrown. Meanwhile hot hunger, but no improvement in depression, let alone sleeping. No appreciable improvement in the general condition. Zopiclone was great, at first very high doses, so I could finally sleep. At first I was tired during the day, but with time it went also times. However, quite dependent. Side effect: Libido loss. When sneaking out came again more depression. The Doxepin was doing similarly well. Initially 2 pieces taken in the evening and within about an hour I finally slept. After about 3 weeks of continuous use, unfortunately, this positive effect is lost. Side effect: thirst, fatigue, sluggishness, lack of concentration. a week’s sleep lab did not give any real information. After 2 hours I’m awake again 🙁

    Doxepin for Pain (chronic)

Because of my neuropathic pain, I take 4x 800mg gabapentin and 1x 25mg doxepin tablets. I get these medications very well. I’ve noticed a few things about me: listlessness, tiredness, and word-finding. For two years now I have this pain in my feet. One month ago, I received a 10x infusion of Thioctacid, which improved my condition. In tablet form, they help me less, but have no side effect. Good against these are Tramadol 100id tablets, but I have them because of the Nebenwikung: addiction, deposed.
