Diclofenac contraindications and warnings


When breastfeeding, you can not take Diclofenac. The drug can not be taken and late pregnancy (in the third trimester). The drug weakens the contractility of the uterus, which can prolong the process of childbirth. And it is able to increase bleeding during childbirth.

The ban on the use of the drug during lactation is associated with its ability to penetrate into breast milk.

Also, do not take Diclofenac when:

  • severe liver and kidney pathologies
  • ulcer of the stomach and intestines
  • gastrointestinal bleeding
  • bronchial asthma
  • individual intolerance of components
  • disorders of hematopoiesis and hemostasis
  • heart failure
  • diseases of peripheral arteries
  • ischemic heart disease
  • under 6 years of age

With caution and under the supervision of a doctor, the drug is taken with:

  • diabetes mellitus
  • over 65 years of age
  • high blood cholesterol level
  • kidney and liver dysfunction
  • anemia
  • pathologies of connective tissue
  • hypertension
  • the initial terms of pregnancy (1st and 2nd trimester)
