    Clindamycin for Abscess; Dental inflammation

I had to take this antibiotic 2 times in a relatively short time. Once because of a tooth root inflammation. And currently because of a scar abscess on the Mandeloperationsnarbe has ignited. After the horror stories I read here, I did not want to take them for the first time. Not really. I’m just such a panic puff. Tablet opponents but the jokes then drove me to take them anyway. So I took her and waited for these side effects to set in, which were described as horrible. Did not come, but the pain went. The tooth took just under 3-4 days. At the abscess just 2 days. The most common side effects that I had and currently, as I still have them are mild stomach aches and occasionally nausea. Neither diarrhea, vomiting, rash or anything else. That’s why I decided to write here to take the horror out of the horror, because I assume that only the few people write that have had negative experiences but not those who have tolerated them well. I tolerate her well. So do not get mad. 🙂 LG Eme

    Clindamycin for Dental inflammation

Clindamycin was prescribed to me about 20 years ago for a dental issue (jaw was inflamed). All right, 5 weeks later I had intestinal inflammation after diarrhea: The worst pain I’ve ever had. 10 kilos and sat day and night only on the toilet. The absolute hell. Only at the second visit to the internist I mentioned the past weeks taking Sobelin (contains the drug clindamycin) and then got (and after various investigations) Vancomycin prescribed. After 3 days I was freed from the hellish intestinal inflammation. Since then, lincosamides (= clindamycin and lincomycin) have been absolutely taboo drugs for me. A Greek doctor wanted to prescribe clindamycin 15 years later after a motorcycle accident. Not with me: If I only hear antibiotics, I ask for the drug, so as not to fall into the clindamycin trap again. However, I would like to emphasize that I had no side effects with other antibiotics so far. So I’m not one of the people who often have medication problems. Here I was really unlucky, any disposition. However, my former internist vehemently rejected the careless prescribing by dentists. I think he even called my then dentist and told him about his bad experiences with clindamycin. My conclusion: Never again clindamycin.

    Clindamycin for Dental inflammation

Got clindamycin 600 mg because of a wisdom tooth inflammation and the resulting jaw clamp. On the first day I had bad head pressure and my forehead pulled so. It felt like I was constantly frowning but it was quite flat and normal as always. The effectiveness of the drug takes time, which comes only on the third day. The worst was the taste in the mouth! Such a poisonous bitter taste as if I had eaten a felt-tip pen or something: S I even woke up from it at night and went into the bathroom and had to rinse my mouth with water which hardly brings anything. What I still had were body aches and stabbing back pain and my foot itched so much …. Besides, I was often very upset ..high so to speak: D that was of course what bothered me the least;) I would not use this antibiotic want to take again …

Side effects: Members hurt; Bitter taste

    Clindamycin for Dental inflammation

I had to take the drug 2 times a day for 10 days for a root inflammation. Have already had a bitter taste in the mouth after the second intake, after about 5 days began the diarrhea, which continues to this day (8 weeks later). Since then, my stomach has been infernally sensitive and hurts quickly. For 2 weeks, complaints have been set in the right upper abdomen, for 3 days in the lower abdomen. After eating, I often get sick, which I have never known before. Family doctor urgently urged me today to a colon clean-up and noted on my file that I probably can not stand this AB. While taking it, I felt like I was poisoning my body (similar to a chemo therapy) I’ll never take it again.

    Clindamycin for Dental inflammation

I got the remedy prescribed by my dentist because of deep-seated inflammation under the tooth. Already on the first day I noticed a slight tremor in my hands when I wanted to lift something heavy. On day three then suddenly dizziness, black in front of eyes, first tingling in arms and legs then they cramped; Hyperventilation – & gt; Hospital. With the antibiotic supposedly have nothing to do, wiping my worries aside. The state of weakness in the muscles or the tremor remained and gradually worsened. Now, three months later, I feel like there is a constant flow of electricity through my body. On some days, I’m just shaking … uninterrupted. It is hell! My psyche is slowly getting to its knees! I was very healthy until this time, I do not smoke, I do not drink, I eat well, I do not take medication. Except for a cold, I knew the Zusatnd sick. Today I feel drained, powerless and tired. I would never take this remedy or even recommend it in any way. The tooth is still there, but the suffering has only changed …

have clindamycin wg. get a purulent tooth to survive the holidays in which I was just staying. Already after the second tablet I was getting worse and worse. My muscles cramped, I felt sick and I had such a metal taste in my mouth that I did not like it anymore. In the evening I got chills and stomach ache. only after discontinuing the drug, the symptoms slowly passed. But even now after almost 10 days I still do not feel very well. Since taking it, I also feel some old surgical scars as very unpleasant to painful. However, I suffer from fibromyalgia and may therefore react particularly strongly.

    Clindamycin for Dental inflammation

I can only advise against this drug. Unless you want to deal with the side effects 3-4 weeks after taking. That’s what it was like for me. Did the drug wg. get an inflammation of the tooth root prescribed. Everything went smoothly while taking the drug. No symptoms or complaints. After 3-4 weeks I got massive intestinal problems with diarrhea, abdominal pain, slimy stool. Until I came on this drug, which I had taken weeks before and that had wiped out my entire intestinal flora and had attacked the intestines. Stool samples and my family doctor could confirm this to me. Fortunately, I was able to rebuild the bowel through light diet and intestinal flora drugs, but I would never take this medication anymore.

    Clindamycin for Dental inflammation

Twenty minutes after taking Clindamycin dizziness and discomfort occur. A pressure in the heart area scares. After 8 days of taking this drug (3 times 600mg), the tongue is completely furry and the oral cavity shows punctiform, white areas, which feel rough on the tongue – but with the toothbrush wegzubürsten are. Sometimes small blisters are found on the gums in the anterior area of the oral cavity. The bowel movement is soft – but not thin. The taste of this drug is around the clock in the mouth – even one day after discontinuation of this drug. This was an acute inflammation between the roots of a dead tooth, which was built with a titanium screw. The on-call doctor could not ensure the pressure of the inflammation by drilling up the tooth, as this screw was in the way – nor could the tooth be pulled, as only a maxillofacial surgeon was allowed to do it. Therefore, this clindamyzole prescribed 600 1-1-1. So I had to endure a little more than 3 days until the appointment with an oral surgeon. I was able to reduce the pain with Ibuprofen 600 (1-1-1), but only so that I had to endure the pain completely again until after the next work 2 hours before the next dose. Incidentally, I basically got a slight fever in the evening. After removing the tooth, I took Ibuprofen only once, just after the anesthetic became ineffective. 3 days after removal of the tooth by the oral surgeon (who sewed the wound), the pain became more intense, included in addition to the slight fever in the evening even earache, so the house dentist again clindamycin 600 (other company) 1-1-1 prescribed. As a precaution, I should take Eubiol 1×1 (self-payer) to catch problems with the side effects. (whether the side effects such as the o.b. lining on the oral mucosa is related, for me is not certain, but not unlikely). It is clear that the renewed revival of the inflammation caused by the suture, because this had a gap through which food leftovers in the wound and thus caused the further pain chaos. Thus, in the end, I can only report dizziness and pressure on the heart, but I do not know whether the lining in the oral cavity can also be assigned directly to the preparation Clindamycin. The stool is still soft – here I do not know if it is due to the eubiol, the slight fever in the evening was only gone when the intake fell away. I still have the earache. By the way, I’m a smoker, I have not touched a cigarette for seven whole days because of the wound, but if I have a coughing fit now – there comes out a pretty solid brown Schleimzeugs … I do not know if that’s the whole Time was suppressed or perhaps it was only brought out of the deepest depths …. Anyway – until now I have survived!

    Clindamycin for Dental inflammation

I had to take Clindamycin 600 mg for 7 days because of a likely tooth root inflammation. After seven weeks I got involved in the antibiotic. Had the first two days when taking the tablets 1-1-1 strong burning in the throat and throat, but went away on the same day. Then everything went well. After the end of the intake I got four days later from now on at once a strong tongue tingling and burning. Then I noticed a horrible coating on the whole tongue, reinforced in the back part. Yellow, green, black …. awful. I could eat anything, with spicy food and alcohol at least the black disappeared for a short time. Today, seven days later, it is probably getting better. I wash with chamomile and sage tea. I hope the tongue is finally back to normal, because you get scared. And on the 5th day after taking the end I still had a horrible diarrhea, but this lasted only half a day, fortunately. Now I’m back to building everything up, at least the toothache is much better. But honestly this antibiotic is really fierce. If there are other options and methods, it is important to avoid clindamycin because of the unpredictable and long-lasting side effects beyond the time of use.
