    Citalopram for Concentration disorders; Aggressiveness

I take these pills every morning (20 mg, citalopram) My doctor prescribed this medicine for me when I said that I was getting mad at something very fast and d. important reason is that my concentration for learning went down. There was nothing left in my head (learning for exams and exams). I take d. Tbl. For a good 10 days. Unfortunately they do not bring anything at the moment! On the contrary, I get tired very fast and yawn all the time. Other side effects: tiredness, listlessness, constant yawning, dry mouth and muscle twitching on the legs. What should the tablets actually do? When does it come to a correct effect entry? Have my exam in a month, but if it goes on I’ll lose my hope ….

    Citalopram for Psychological instability; Depression

In the first 5-8 days – dosage 20 mg. changing side effects (nausea, dizziness, rapid heartbeat, dry mouth, heavy sweating, inner restlessness). Then slight but steady improvement. After dose adjustment to 40 mg. renewed and increased side effects as above. After 14 days, most of them, fortunately, are so flattened that they can live with it. ATTENTION: For the male co-patients, the sexual desire is still very present but unfortunately not exercisable = & gt; lack of potency, erection = zero (even with the help of manual stimulation only very short), orgasm very weak. Unfortunately and a great pity for us guys !!.

    Citalopram for Depression

I have been fighting for a mild, recurrent depression for many years, and it was not until I took this medication that all of my efforts really worked. Since I suffer more in the winter and especially in February / March, I take more in the winter (about 30 mg), less in the summer (about 20mg). I’ve been taking Citalopram for over seven years now. For many years, I’ve seen more subtle improvements, not only in my mood, but also in the range of memory, range of emotions, decision-making, and clarity in my head (I can not describe it better). Only this year I doubt whether the intake still has a positive effect. Increasing the dose is out of the question due to agitation (see below). I’m considering pausing … Side effects: In the first few weeks: Dry throat – drinking more water was easy to manage. I certainly did not drink enough, so rather positive. In the first few months (even when increasing the dose): palpitations of the heart, but no tachycardia – that lost over time Still at higher doses: agitation – I split my dose, since the agitation occurs with me after several hours of ingestion and depends on the dose.

Side effects: Palpitation; Mouth dryness; Unrest

I have been suffering from panic attacks and winter depression since a burn-out, which has intensified after my pregnancy and have turned into a postpartum depression. Then I had to take citalopram (30mg). The side effects with me were initially just a nervous stomach / gut and a bit of a headache and a dry mouth – all over after 3 weeks. The drug works great and with yoga (helps incredibly for inner relaxation), I would like to discontinue the drug after 1 year, because it should only bridge the hard time.

Citalopram was given to me in the rehab and in the beginning the side effects were so bad that I wanted to discontinue it after 3 days. But I had hope that it still strikes and it did so a little bit after all. What’s left over, now and then dizziness, dry mouth and falling asleep. But to fall asleep I take valerian in addition and then it works quite well.

    Citalopram for Depression

First to me, I’m 28 years old and seriously Depressed because I have a lot of problems with me! So far, my life has always been very different, and often associated with disappointment and anger. If you have very severe depression then medication does not help much! Medication I have taken before: Seroxat (paroxetine) for about 8 years / hardly effect / EXCEPTION severe violent side effect after forgetting to take after the first day. Saroten (Amytriptilin) about 1 year / Useless has brought no effect at all had only strong constipation and tachycardia (rapid heart rate) as a side effect Now the effect, fears, thoughts and worries are after a while of taking not so close to me, me I have the impression that Citalopram pushes them further away from me because otherwise I always think deeply about my concerns and reflect on the day for me after my experiences. Citalopram is not mood-enhancing with me but at least never a feeling high as heaven high Jubilzend and peace joy pancakes as with Citalopram remains at least realistic, however, I had in the evening times an enormously over exaggerated euphoric luck feeling that is very rare! Citalopram is said to be an increase in drive, with me the opposite is the case I feel tired in the course of the day dogs and fatigue, especially at work start temporarily strong attacks of fatigue. I lay down in my bed every day after work from about 4:00 pm and then, even though I have been resting for two or more hours, I would like to rest all day, even light household chores like tidying up or laundry make is already a challenge, I can do almost nothing! I always take the drug in the morning at first it was 60 mg now I am currently taking 40 mg I would like to get away from the drug in the long run because it offers more disadvantages than benefits for me. The time during the reduction from 60 to 40 mg was hell I had not expected such strong side effects in my worst dreams I was irritated, disoriented, haphazard, confused and I interpreted everything that was brought to me as an attack my workmate was opposite me as well very irritable and moody. If you forget the intake after a few days you feel very bad, you get more irritated and you have a kind of electric shocks that go through the body (I already knew of Seroxat because it was even more violent) Side effects for me with this drug – occasional cardiac arrhythmias. – Faster heart rate (tachycardia) since the beginning of ingestion. – Dry mouth. – Now and then cravings. – High fatigue potential (Only in the evening I can sleep well for it) – You often feel the role – Confusion – No plan – Dizziness – Irritability – Aggressiveness – Anxiety So overall I can not recommend it unless you want to sleep very well at night you are really good with the drug, but in all other respects it fails in my opinion!

    Citalopram for Depression

I have had experiences with three medicines, which I took one after the other. First of all citalopram, saroten (amytriptilin) and tianeurax (tianeptin) belong in this order. Reason for my treatment is a 13 months continuous dizziness that is still my daily companion and is the cause of my depression. I’ll try to write as much as possible about all medications. These are different for each of me it was like this. 1. Citalopram. Taken for 3 weeks. A new generation serotonin reuptake inhibitor with a drive-enhancing component. My doctor recommends one tablet in the evening before going to bed. Of this I can only advise against it is impossible to sleep after that the drive-increasing effect occurs very quickly. That’s why I always took those in the morning. The sleep rhythm is a bit confused. Already in the first days you can feel the drive increase significantly. the mood-enhancing effect did not really work for me but some side effects. To mention would be there, for example the inner restlessness, sleep disturbances, mood swings and motivational problems. The drive increase is not always advantageous. It often happened that I just had to walk around the apartment because I could not sit still. All in all quite bearable but only if the desired effect can be achieved. I think the drive increase did not have to be that when the mood improves that comes automatically. Citalopram is one of the antidepressants with very little side effects. However, there is an improved version called: escitalopram supposedly with even fewer side effects and better effects. 2. Saroten (amytritilin). 4 weeks ingestion. An old-school tryptic antidepressant. It inhibits both the uptake of serotonin as well as dopamine and norepinephrine. Accordingly diverse are also the side effects. I took 1 tablet (50mg) every night. After that, I slept as well as I did not sleep for a long time. As a sleeping aid so very suitable. The mood-enhancing effect did not occur here on me. I probably would have needed to take her longer. As I read from other reports, it can sometimes take 6-8 weeks. But the side effects do not make it easy. Already after the first night I had a slight dizziness. In the days after dry mouth (especially at night). Fuck no matter attitude, circulatory weakness when getting up, tiredness all day, and very fussy cravings for sweets. In 4 weeks I have already gained 2 kg. For me absolutely unacceptable because I was ever overweight and thus again Depressed was. And an antidepressant should do exactly the opposite. Luck problems I had no luck. By and large, a good drug sleep problems, panic attacks and fears you get so well and quickly under control. For me but contraindicated. 3. Tianeurax (Tianeptin) Only admitted in Germany since November 2012. Before that there were only in France and Austria. I was very skeptical before I took that and read a lot about it. Tieneptin is the only known drug that enhances serotonin uptake. In fact, he does exactly the opposite of what the other antidepressants do. But the secret is probably somewhere else. Anyway, I am very pleasantly surprised. I take the drug now for 10 days daily 3 tablets (12.5mg). For me, the effect came after a week already. I’m in a very good mood, I’m motivated and doing the things that I used to put off, like sorting paperwork on my desk. I have fun keeping up my social contacts and can even do sports again without any side effects hindering me. I’m optimistic again and emotionally balanced. It is neither impulsive nor sedative and I appreciate that very much. The taste of food is somehow more intense. I feel that as positive. The first night I had a funny dream. Otherwise I have no side effects so far. That’s how I imagine the effects of an antidepressant. It looks very inconspicuous. Unfortunately, my dizziness is still unchanged, but now I have reason to hope for improvement. A little tip on the edge for those who have to deal with depression. Short-term relief and immediate mood-enhancing effects can be achieved with a completely sleepless night. I tried it myself. In the evening a Citalopram taken, the night gone through and behold at 8 or 9 o’clock you are slightly scratched but has a really good mood. that holds

    Citalopram for Depression

Am 56 years old and suffering from a malignant melanoma of depressive moods and anxiety disorders. First, I took 10 mg of citalopram in the morning. Side effects such as dry mouth, tiredness and word finding disorders are, except for dry mouth, not resolved after four months. Added to this was then after increased dose to 20mg / day weight gain, massive inner restlessness, eye flare and sexual disorders (absence of ejaculation), little sexual interest. Through a personal jogging program, however, I can narrow the weight gain, although in the evening there is an increased feeling of hunger for sweets. The most uncomfortable, however, is the constant leaden fatigue, although I do not know how to ever pursue a regular working day. Will probably sneak the drug out and then stop.

Hello, I have been prescribed citalopram for depression about 4 months ago. For idling between therapy and waiting time. The early days so the first few days seemed. The drug mood-brightening, but I regularly had nightmares and had hot hungry attacks and my mouth was constantly dry. After just over a week, the depression came back, my doctor said the drugs needed their time to work and increased the dose, my cravings attacks remained with the time I was irritated and became aggressive, completely unawakened and Depressed over time came also claustrophobia and Mood swings I had no joy in things that I otherwise enjoyed, was indifferent and completely absent. In the later stages of the drug increase suicidal thoughts After discontinuing the drug, I got anxiety and still can not concentrate.

    Citalopram for Anxiety disorders

hmmm …. So I’ll try my experience report here. In short: until 2 months ago, I was actually symptom-free regarding panic attacks and the anxiety disorder. Before that I had an endless suffering, lasted about 8-10 months. I had believed in panic attacks, anxiety disorders and, above all, physical complaints of the most disgusting kind. Physical problems: panic attacks out of the blue, tachycardia, high blood pressure of the very finest, tinnitus, sweating, stomach and intestinal complaints, dizziness etc etc etc. I was sometimes no longer possible to leave the house. Hiring in the supermarket at the box office was accompanied by panic attacks (tachycardia, cold and heat shower etc) so that I waited some minutes until no queue was there to be processed immediately and could end my purchase. Subway or train ride were also the pure horror !!! Also an accumulation of crowds were unbearable for me. I was first treated with opipramol 150 mg, initially the effect was given (although minimal) but it brought relief. citalopram 30 mg was given to me as the drug stopped producing the desired results. I got better quickly, I took the medication conscientiously and rarely had to struggle with physical symptoms. Side effects were with me especially dry mouth and a piss in the ears, at the moment I can not remember. After about 5 months, I had then dropped off the citalopram after consultation with my family doctor. That’s about 10 months ago. I was still fine, I could go back to work. A few weeks ago it started again, I got panic attacks while driving and in other situations. I am almost back in my time of suffering. So I thought: the solution is to start with the drug again. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? ARE YOU SERIOUS WHEN YOU SAY THAT! The side effects are quite strong this time. Headache, dry mouth, tinitus, paleness, frequent urination, light dizziness, extreme trembling at times, exhaustion, inactivity, etc And even though I started with just 10 mg. My tip: who it helps should take it in any case, it had helped me the first time also great. ! BUT !: it only relieves the symptoms, not the actual causes! necessarily consult with a psychologist for the purpose of psychotherapy or the like, because at some point, the effect will fizzle and the whole crap comes back. Would be glad if a few people would report to the exchange of experience of panic attacks, anxiety disorder to help us in a hurry (tips, etc.) under: small tip yet: yes no baldriantropfen or johannesut take products at the same time, that brought me in connection with citalopram the day of the horror, since that does not tolerate each other. I still had panic attacks and holes. ALL THE BEST

    Citalopram for Depression

I already knew that this drug could cause serious side effects, especially at first. Therefore, I had already stopped to dizziness and concentration disorders, which I already knew from two previous \ ‘experiments \’ with other antidepressants. For me, however, seems to be a general incompatibility for all this stuff. However, this time I wanted to endure it for more than 2 weeks – which was a big mistake because the side effects did not diminish, it just got worse and after two months my doctor recommended me to increase the dose or a stronger supplement (For a drug therapy he considered necessary \ ‘to take), I dropped the stuff without further ado. Within 2 weeks I felt much better. The bad thing about the stuff is that with symptoms that were already there, you can only guess that they were strengthened by the ingestion. In my case, these were mainly panic attacks and thoughts of suicide, which I have never experienced before on this scale and which also normalized shortly after stopping in the \ ‘mysterious \’ way. My side effects were: dry mouth, blurred vision, speech problems, nausea, drowsiness, muscle twitching, memory and concentration disorders, compulsive suicidal thoughts and ideas, paranoid psychotic states (never before and after), panic attacks In addition, I had about the third intake Suddenly feeling like something presses on my neck. After a little back and forth, it was found in a gastroscopy that I have a reflux oesophagitis. In combination with the dry mouth, which (in my opinion, too) was caused by citalopram, the further intake was simply no longer justifiable; My doctor had now prescribed a drug for me and the combination of the two has finally flattened me. Incidentally, the reflux disease has not made itself noticeable since weaning. My concern is to specifically warn against this type of medication. The stuff was just character deforming for me. I did not recognize myself under his influence. It was deeply scary. Before you take something, you should inform yourself urgently. Especially about alternatives you should think. There are studies that demonstrate the superiority of psychotherapy over drug treatment. Furthermore, there was a fairly large-scale study in England, which showed that various antidepressants do not work better than a placebo. Keep in mind the risk you take, that just taking a medicine may just fool you, that your condition has improved. All the best from me. A psychology student

first opipramol and fluoxitin. mainly against panic attacks. total impotence, dry mouth, at first aggravating the attacks. – then citalopram. terrible aggravation of depression, extreme dizziness, anxiety creep downright physically cold my back up, muscle twitching in the legs. discontinued by the doctor. replaced by moclobemide, almost no effect, no side effect. After that, I spent half a year in Ireland, where a doctor suggested to try cymbalta. had NO side effect except sleep disturbance, which I had previously sporadically and already very dry mouth with disgusting taste in the mouth. Since then, I also take cymbalta in Germany, I am thrilled. Panickattacken almost zero, no side effects except those described, no orgasm disorders. However, my psychiatrist cymbalta has to prescribe me every second recipe as a private prescription, because thanks to the health reform, it no longer fits into her budget. and THIS is a very blatant side effect, especially since I am unemployed. Depression still present but toned down, hope to find definitive help through behavioral therapy. but my main problem panic seems to be very well handled by cymbalta. I am excited about the drug!

    Citalopram for Mood swings

To be a little more relaxed, my family doctor Citalopram prescribed 20 mg. That was perfectly fine and not bad at all !!! It started with dryness of the mouth and dizziness in the head, accompanied by a strange Schwirren.Das then about 2 weeks laid down All of a sudden, I was completely relaxed, I could bring nothing more out of peace. Even managed after 25 years again a plane to climb and fly. Night sweat and permanent fatigue came to it. I slept for 2 hours at noon and I’m still in the evening at 19.30-20.00 in bed. The sofa was my best friend. My whole drive was completely gone. My family kept complaining Mama you’re always tired !! By the many sleep and lack of drive, I have increased about 10 kg! I could not look in the mirror anymore and dropped citalopram within 3 weeks! Deposition symptoms occur, I am clean for 10 days, in the form of diarrhea, aggressiveness and severe premature menstruation. With that I can live. I let the acupuncture of my Heilpraktiker support the decay. Feel awake again and here in the accompaniment I accept in purchase. I make it annoying myself that I started without asking too much with the crap, that happens never again.

    Citalopram for Depression

Citalopram has returned me quality of life. I’ve been taking it since 2001, but with several breaks. I wanted the breaks myself, because I was in a good phase. I have few side effects, maybe increased sweating and dry mouth. Since I lived abroad, it was recommended to me even in higher doses, up to 60 milligrams. Now I want to slowly lower to 40. Just not to live in such high doses. It should be noted, however, that stopping citalopram can cause severe physical discomfort if it is discontinued too quickly. In this respect, always consult with the doctor. I can not report a decrease in libido, so do not worry. I used to lose weight on citalopram, as the depression was combated and I automatically ate less. Likewise, mindfulness increases and one takes care of oneself positively.
