Effect of Cefaclor

Cefaclor belongs to the group of oral cephalosporins. This makes it a representative of beta-lactam antibiotics. Cefaclor kills bacteria (bactericidal action) by preventing their cell wall buildup.

The disadvantage is that bacteria that have the protein beta-lactamase can destroy cefaclor. Thus, they become insensitive (resistant) to the antibiotic. Cefaclor is ineffective in these pathogens.

After stopping taking Cefaclor, after two days I got a rash that worsened to hives and breathlessness. It looked as if I had bathed in nettles for 3 days. After two days of rash and shortness of breath, it became so bad that even hospitalization became necessary. I will never touch this devil again, even if it helped for the bronchitis – I do not wish these side effects to anyone !!!

    Cefaclor for Sinusitis

My daughter (13) was prescribed Cefaclor for acute sinusitis. She took the drug for the second time, the last time because of sinusitis about 1/2 year ago. It has not struck quickly. 2 days after taking the last tablet she got massive Juckreis with white wheals in the evening. The dermatologist tapped an allerg. Reaction and prescribed ceterizine. It has massive joint pain, swollen joints and swelling in the face, difficulty swallowing and is extremely flabby. She was dizzy, I was terrified when she fainted in my presence for about 1 minute. These side effects are described as common, I find that very questionable ….
