Mode of action of azithromycin

Azithromycin belongs to the active ingredient group of macrolide antibiotics. It inhibits the growth of bacteria as it blocks the protein production of the pathogens. This makes it antibacterial.

Compared to the other members of this group, it is characterized by a longer efficacy, so that it is usually sufficient to take azithromycin only for a short period of time. This effect is based on an increased accumulation of the active ingredient in the body.

Allergic reaction 1/2 hour after ingestion. Shortness of breath and panic. The stuff is too strong. That will blow you over. Ingestion canceled. Have never reacted so negative to an antibiotic. What is that means? Why are only 3 tablets enough here? Is that overdosed?

    Side effects: Allergic reaction

    Azithromycin for Lymph node inflammation

I took the drug for 3 days and got circulatory problems. Continue to have difficulty breathing, fatigue and flatulence. The inflammation did not go away too. Only the swelling has gone back.

    Azithromycin for Otitis

Preliminary: The drug has already improved the symptoms of otitis media from the first tablet. But the side effects with me were fatal. On the first day, I had diarrhea, but it was already on the second day. But there was loss of appetite and nausea from the second tablet. Any attempt to eat light food ended in a bloated stomach and more nausea. After the third pill the symptoms became even stronger. Here, nothing helped at all. But the feeling of hunger further strengthened the nausea. Two days after taking the last pill, the nausea and loss of appetite persists. Any attempt to eat something fails.

Side effects: Bloating; Anorexia; Nausea; Diarrhea

    Azithromycin for Respiratory infections

After the first intake, I noticed a strange feeling, I was dizzy. After a good 1 or 1 1/2 hours I got depression. At first, I did not think it had anything to do with the drug, so I went to sleep in the evening. The next day at the same time, I took the second tablet, after the same time interval I got more depression, they became stronger and stronger, I had problems falling asleep in the evening, furthermore I got a headache after the 2nd tablet. The next day I woke up again and suddenly had thoughts of suicidal thoughts in my head and I will not let go since then. It may be that I am an isolated case, but nevertheless, I would advise against this drug, although the suicidal thoughts I like so slowly.

    Azithromycin for To cough

Side effect: In 2012 I received the preparation from the board doctor of a cruise ship. On the 4th day of taking it, I noticed that I had lost my taste and sense of smell! Meanwhile (2015) my sense of taste has recovered, but my sense of smell is still badly damaged. I do not think I can ever smell 100% again.

    Side effects: Taste disorders

The drug is not recommended for urinary tract infections. The effect was virtually zero, but there were plenty of side effects. In particular, I had no appetite, could only taste sweet and salty and had muscle and joint pain like a severe flu.

    Azithromycin for To cough; Sinusitis

I gained strong tachycardia after taking the 1 TB with blood pressure values of up to 200/120 and 130 pulse. Nevertheless, bravely on the second day the next Tgl taken, which had the result that I had a numbness in both ears and continue the increased blood pressure with strong restlessness. The following day, severe migraine with vomiting and nausea. Last intake of tbl suspended. The next day strongest diarrhea, such as water. Today is the 6th day after the first dose, I am now on sick leave because of the side effects of the drug. Still elevated blood pressure and gastrointestinal discomfort with taste change. Conclusion: My complaints for what I have taken the drug have disappeared and compared to the side effects I have to endure now, a slight. I’ve never had so many side effects, it’s hell. Azithromycin for Tonsillitis

Every hour an hour after taking it I was sick. After taking the tablets for 3 days, my taste would have gone away, always had a funny taste in my mouth. Now about 1.5 weeks after taking I have ear noises. Have the drug already been prescribed twice, at 1 time I’ve better tolerated.

    Side effects: Taste changes; Nausea

    Azithromycin for Bronchitis (acute)

Improved physical condition from the second day on, but shortness of breath only from the 5th day (following the first intake) better – it remains today after the 8th day still dry cough, but no more breathlessness, no additional expansion spray more necessary – After the first intake changed taste, diffuse slight headache, intestinal grumble, On the 2nd day after taking stomach cramps in the evening, but not on the 3rd day – gaining weight (questionable whether from the increased food or whether water stored = edema, as mainly on the legs the thickened sensation and pants too tight) –

Azithromycin for Lung infection; Cold; Tonsillitis

Azithromycin is effective, but you have to be shy to see if that translates into side effects. On the first day, I had mild stomach cramps, which was not so bad. The following day, instead of stomach cramps, headaches and arrhythmias were added. Now, two days after taking the last dose, I am extremely weak, still have a morning headache and with light effort (putting towels together) my heart starts to beat at irregular intervals … this condition lasts up to 30 seconds , Otherwise, my skin is dry on the body and my facial skin has become greasy. Azithromycin for Sinusitis

At 1 day after 1.5 hours stomach ache and flatulence, which also quickly disappeared again. On the second day stronger spasms in the stomach and slight diarrhea. On the third day so strong cramps and pain with Duchfällen for about 2 hours and hot flashes. Would never take this medicine again. There are enough alternatives without such strong side effects.
