What interactions does Imiquimod show?

Please note that the interactions may vary depending on the drug formulation of a drug (eg tablet, syringe, ointment).

No studies on imiquimod interactions with other agents have been performed. Due to the low absorption of the active substance through the skin into the body, interactions with ingested or injected active ingredients are to be expected only to a small extent. Due to the stimulation of the body’s defense Iquimod should always be used with great caution, if the patients receive a therapy that should suppress the body’s defense. This is the case, for example, after organ transplants.
