    Enalapril for High blood pressure

I take medication with enalapril and metoprolol for 18 years. The effect is excellent, though over the decades I have seen a steady increase in the dose. My chronic hypertension has by no means improved after nephrectomy, so that the dose level of initially 2.5 mg in the morning and 5 mg in the evening to 7.5 mg in the morning and 10 mg in the evening (enalapril from various manufacturers depending on the cash position) slowly increased. With Metoprolol I still need the same, sometimes only half the dose of 50mg. Side effects of enalapril in combination with metoprolol: weight gain, water retention, hair loss, recurrent atheroma in the groin area, which must be surgically removed; possibly occurrence of acne Inversa. Hair loss, acne, where I can not tell what favors. Slight depression, muscle weakness. Absetzerscheinungen: Never abrupt absetz- depending on the disease threatens myocardial infarction or ventricular fibrillation! Overall rating: Very effective drug combination in renal blood hypertension despite serious side effects. Ev. Additional intake of sodium chloride secreting diuretics, taking care that enough potassium and not too much potassium remains in the body.
