    Doxepin for Sleep disorders; Depression

Hello, I have been taking Doxepin for about 5 years, mainly because of my sleeping problems. It is a very good medicine! I take 37.5 mg during the working days in the evening and usually 50 mg on weekends. It improves my sleep significantly and I feel a clear stabilization and lightening of my mood. I think everyone has to try out exactly the right dose for themselves. I advise everyone to start with 25 mg. Although one is pretty dazed for about 2 days, then most side effects disappear by themselves. From 50 mg it has unfortunately negative effects for me the next morning. The thinking is then much slower u. you feel a bit dizzy. Also, I have some tinkling, but that’s good to endure. The most important thing is not to give up immediately due to the tiredness of the first days. Also, one should not always increase the dose by 25 mg. I divide the tablets into quarter pieces u. can only recommend this to make u. thus only ever to increase by about 12.5 mg. I’ve tried a lot of sedative AD before u. must say that this helped me the best (with the fewest side effects!) By the way, it is a very cheap AD, that even the family doctor like to prescribe.
