hey, now after breast conserving surgery with chemotherapy and radiation treatment in the last year, a tamoxifen treatment for 2 years let me go through. I also do my daily work, work is impossible, you can only panic.

When will that stop? By sweating at night, breathing problems, The pain in the bones are so strong that I often can hardly walk. Especially if you have been sitting for a long time, nothing works anymore. I am constantly tired and chipped off.

    Tamoxifen for Breast cancer

After breast-conserved surgery, chemo and radiation, I got zoladex and tamoxifen prescribed for 1 year from July 2008. In the first year I took between 5 and 8 kilos, sporty was almost nothing. Every staircase was a pain, I ran out of steam, housework takes twice as long and jogging (previously 3x weekly 1-1 1/2 hours) was unthinkable. Since taking I am struggling with sleep disorders (max. 3 hours sleep per night), fatigue and hot flashes. After finishing with Zoladex it was at least physically up again a bit. My athletic motivation is on the rise. Weight problems (especially stomach), deterioration of visual acuity, hair loss and brittle fingernails. Have a health practitioner visited and so at least the tiredness and hot flashes have improved. I’m really thinking of whether I still go through the remaining 2 years of tamoxifen intake!

    Tamoxifen for Breast cancer

About 2 weeks after the start of treatment, the first side effects occurred. Nocturnal leg cramps, hot flashes, sleep disturbances. Take the drug now for 4 weeks and it has remained with these side effects so far. I hope now that there will be no other adverse effects from the drug during treatment.

    Tamoxifen for Breast cancer

My experiences are, I have very strong Schweisausbrüche, Gefühsschwankungen, joint pain but only when it is cold. I have already gained 7 kg in weight, that bothers me a lot. From time to time I am Depressed and Aggressive. I can live well with that, but not with the increase in weight, that still makes me crazy. I often have sleep problems as well. I would prefer to take nothing more. With the removal of the ovaries, I thought I need tamoxifen no longer take, but unfortunately it was not so. I’m totally draughty about my weight, and my gynecologist’s statement is just that, that’s normal.

    Tamoxifen for Breast cancer

I had a breast conserving surgery after diagnosis of early stage breast cancer and then 36 exposures. So far, no further cancer findings, but: Severe sleep disorders, frequent and strong hot flashes with subsequent freezing, especially at night, loss of eyesight, bones and joint pain, morning stiffness (especially in the back). I’m going to ask the Society for Biological Cancer Defense what to do and if I really need to take tamoxifen for another 2.5 years. The idea is horror. Against the hot flashes I take Remifemin with moderate success since 2 years. I can recommend 2 books dealing with biological cancer defense: 1. Cancer cells do not like raspberries and 2. Combat cancer with vitamin B 17. Get well soon for all concerned. Connie S.

    Tamoxifen for Breast cancer

I suffer from hot flashes, sleep disorders, and thin hair. The concentration also decreased. I came or feel like I’m suffering from dementia. I can not remember things I did about 2 days ago. Also, I have lost my sexual needs that I had before. Conclusion: Tamoxifen has totally changed my life. I am no longer the woman I was before. My gynecologist says that these are the normal side effects, but she does not have to experience it. I find it sad that I have to endure these side effects and decided to stop taking the tablets on a regular basis. For who wants to live permanently under these hot flashes? ….

    Tamoxifen for Breast cancer

Hello, I’m taking this verda for 3 years now … Tamoxifen. I was hoping until some time ago that the side effects would be less severe, but right now I would like to sink the stuff in the toilet. As side effects I have muscle cramps in the entire legs and hands, bone and joint pains, heat waves (minor evils), frequent malaise, sleep disturbances, and in the 2nd year extreme weight gain (10kg), I may at the time hold, but losing weight seems impossible and where no one talks about it so far is the desire for sex, which is equal to zero for me! The whole burden not only myself, but the partner and by my often bad mood the whole family. At the next doctor’s appointment, I’ll talk about a demolition, although apparently has something good … I do not know …

    Tamoxifen for Breast cancer

First I would like to say that I am still in the treatment with the drug and therefore on the scale only the compatibility can be evaluated. Unfortunately, I had to rate the other to be able to post my experiences here at all. Since taking Tamoxifen I have had the following side effects: Daily moderate to severe headache. Cold outbreaks even in summer temeratures; associated with hot flashes. Vision disorders, joint bone pain, numbness of the feet. Temporary fatigue / tiredness. Lack of concentration and forgetfulness. Fatigue and stomach ache. Sleep disorders.
