Topamax for High blood pressure; Migraine

Since Topamax, the number of migraine attacks has dropped significantly. I have tingling in my arms and legs, sometimes in my face. After a banana go again. Partly I’m very tired, I also lost about 3.5 kg – which I think is not bad. Striking, however, is a quick irritability with me. I did not complain of interactions with the other meds.

    Topamax for Migraine

First, I increased the dose of topiramate from 25mg to 100mg daily. In addition to a strong tingling in hands and feet, I also have language and word finding disorders. In addition, I am tired and need much more sleep than before (about 9h). At 100mg, the migraine was gone, but I was also totally depressed. Therefore dose reduction to 50mg per day. Meanwhile, the side effects are so far okay except for the speech disorders and the tiredness and the need for sleep. At least I thought so. Until now it turned out that Topamax is damaging my liver. And pretty massive. Therefore, I can only advise all migraineurs under Topamax to keep an eye on liver enzymes! Conclusion: If the NW are tolerable, Topamax is really good. Otherwise unfortunately less. I have to stop it now. P.S .: Incidentally, I am one of the few who have slightly increased in Topmamax … but still tolerable at 4 kg

    Topamax for Migraine

I started in the first week with 25 mg in the evening and went up in the second on noon 25 and evening 25. Headaches have fallen by at least 50 percent so far. However, the side effects are insane. Yesterday, for example I was doing really well during the day, but at night it was really bad. I woke up and everything was so badly tingling, suddenly I hardly noticed any more and almost fainted. I’ve just had a strong tingling in both halves of my face for at least two hours. In addition, I am often depressed and often get wine attacks, I am tired, weakened, unfocused. Consider breaking it often and if it’s worth it. Try to go down a little bit with the dosage, let’s see what happens. It does not look too good with my appetite either. Had initially decreased from 53 to 50 pounds. Within the first week.

    Topamax for Epilepsy

Have lost within a week 5 kg, that was the nicest side effect! Otherwise, I was with the drug very bad! At first, only this tingling in the toes and in the fingers, but then got depression and anxiety! Could not concentrate anymore, was just tired and I could not manage my household! I was dropped Topamax again and I was again switched to Lamictal, which I took before, again! I would not recommend Topamax to anyone! I am well again with Lamictal! But I also got seizure-free, despite the bad side effect! But I’m free of seizures with Lamictal!

    Topamax for Migraine

From 25mg to 75mg – I have been suffering from migraine headaches for about 25 years with 4-5 seizures a month. For 4 months, starting with 25mg, increased to 75mg within 4 weeks, I take Topamax. At first struggling with strong side effects, such as confusion !, Word finding disorders, very strong tingling in hands and feet, taste changes and loss of appetite, my body has adjusted quite well to the drug. My migraine attacks have become much less and for me after 25 years of migraine headache, after all that you can only prevent and whatever it can do against this disease, a great success. Of course the side effects are not gone. They are going on. Not as strong as in the beginning. But I can live better with the side effects than with the strong migraine attacks 4-5 times a month – that is almost 14 days. Tingling in hands and feet (occasionally), tiredness, frequent word-finding disorders (if too little sleep), heartburn, carbon dioxide I feel as stale

I was prescribed Topamax in a day clinic. I had significant side effects. I felt sick all day. Tingling in the arms and legs and feeling of weakness throughout the body. Extremely what the tingling under the feet, which was also connected with pain. I was constantly dizzy. Visual disturbances also came about. The worst was the depression, to suicidal thoughts. I absolutely could not concentrate. I’ve had an anxiety disorder for over 14 years, which has now developed into a generalized disorder. The anxiety was compounded when taking Topamax. But none of the doctors wanted me to believe that these are side effects of Topamax. I also took other medications at that time, but when I discontinued Topamax on my own, the symptoms disappeared again. The only good thing about the drug was that I had no more nightmares.

    Topamax for Migraine

Suffering from migraine for over 25 years. 5-6 seizures a month. After many unsuccessful attempts with acupuncture and various medications I have been trying for 15 months with Topamax migraine. Starting with 25mg, increased up to 75mg. The seizures have reduced to about 1 attack per month and I get the handle with Allegro or Ibuprofen well. However, the side effects are quite large: in the beginning very strong tingling in the fingers and feet, which is not so common anymore. Weight loss, taste impairment, concentration disorders and fatigue. In the last weeks forgetfulness and hair loss came to it. Despite all the side effects, it has improved my quality of life.

    Topamax for Migraine

Already on the second day I noticed a tingling in the hands and in both halves of my face. However, that has noticeably reduced and does not occur as often. However, I often feel limp and need more sleep than usual. In addition, I often feel slightly depressed and can concentrate badly. As a result, I often have problems expressing myself correctly. Furthermore, I have very little appetite, I have a feeling of hunger but then I ‘ve no desire to eat something, and after a snack, such as a cookie, the hunger was eaten and that was then a meal. I have now lost 12kg in the 2.5 months. But I’m more thirsty than before and drink a lot of water.

    Topamax for Migraine

I started with 25 mg and slowly increased over 50 mg and 75 mg. The usual side effects, such as tingling, depression, acne I have also received. Weight loss unfortunately only 3 kg. Recently I have hair loss and not a little. I also have some problems with acne. Tingling and depression have become very rare. But the most important thing is that instead of having migraine once a week, I have a migraine at most once a month. Sometimes I just need a normal pain medication. And that is a success for me. However, I am afraid of any long-term consequences, if one must take this drug for so long or possibly permanently.

As already described; no desire for sex and caresses have unfortunately become unwanted side effects as well as digestive problems, sheep disorders; sometimes fatigue and difficulty concentrating. The seizures are a side effect of the surgery, have reduced to a few in the first 2 years after surgery, and it is estimated that I can dispense in 3-4 years on the medication. TOPAMAX 50 has also been tested recently, after two weeks of use it has severe depression, blurred vision, indigestion, severe motor difficulties, speech problems, persistent tingling in hands and feet, orientation problems. But was immediately put back on Keppra.

    Topamax for Migraine

The dosage increase at the beginning was difficult, as difficult to divide tablets. Now I take 2 times a day 25 mg that works well, unfortunately you have to keep to 12-hour interval, otherwise occur first side effects such as tingling in hands and feet. I also have mood swings, I’ve become more unstable, had my first kidney stone this week ( AUA !!!) and will probably settle it now. A pity, the migraine is as good as gone. I lost 6 pounds in 3 months, was ok. Loss of appetite is also one of the side effects with me. Unfortunately, word finding disorders and uncertainty in everyday life too.
