I woke up the night and saw silhouettes and open windows that were closed. Then I got this medicine. Initially 50 mg, later 200 evenings. Have it discontinued from morning to morning because I have got extreme heart racing, nightmares and an extremely unpleasant feeling of hunger. I had to lie down immediately, because it literally forced me to my knees and blackened my vision. It became so violent later that I constantly felt my heart explode, causing panic attacks. Once I got so much into a panic attack that I lost consciousness. After that, I never resorted to this drug again, although I was convinced I needed it. Misconception! Even if I needed some time to fall asleep in the evening and my day post-cycle was completely twisted, today I feel much better. The silhouettes were a one-time incident. My current psychiatrist could only shake his head. Unbelievable how fast this drug is prescribed. With every little thing. There are certainly cases where the drug is helpful. Unfortunately, I was unlucky, but the side effects are not to be underestimated. Please be careful with this chemistry. All the best

    Seroquel for Bipolar disorder

What should one say. I’ve been taking Seroquel for years, but I always put it on my own foot because I just could not handle the side effects. I was diagnosed with bipolar disorder 2 years ago and was on 200 mg of Seroquel. A short time later I dropped it off and my life remained a roller coaster. Recently I decided to interrupt the threatened mania with Seroquel, which was also (almost) successful. I only had hypomanic fluctuations from time to time. So it was effective. But I am still struggling against the constant fatigue, headache, slowing down of thinking, concentration problems and apathy – and that at just 150 mg. I can not exceed this value at all, because otherwise I sleep as much as 16 h. In addition, I have also developed massive memory problems, forget the simplest things, I suffer from nightmares and I have after a certain time this tightness in the chest. The side effects are simply unacceptable to me, so I guess I’ll be taking the drug back, with the risk of falling into depression, which still makes me less apathetic than Seroquel does. I can only recommend this medication as an acute medication, although it has been approved since 2008 as a prophylactic. I have no experience with other neuroleptics, but I assume it is much worse.

    Seroquel for Depression

In contrast to many negative reports that I have read about Seroquel, I would like to contribute something positive. Unfortunately I am suffering from depression and a generalized anxiety disorder. At some point I ‘broke down’ and could not do anything anymore – no more shopping, sometimes not even taking a shower. In contrast to many others who suffer from strong listlessness, I suffered from strong inner restlessness. I consistently had a very high blood pressure and strong heart rate. I could not sleep at night at all. I was just under power. After promethazine was no longer effective, I started taking Seroquel, initially unretarded. Today’s dose is retarded 150mg. It took a while for the inner trouble to improve. Meanwhile, there are many things that have changed by Seroquel for the better. My resting heart rate is 60 even in stressful situations (formerly 80). My blood pressure, which was temporarily at 160/120, has dropped quickly and now perfect. I am much more balanced and do not get so upset at all. The only noticeable side effect is an altered and earlier onset of REM sleep. The REM sleep is characterized by wild juxtaposition of idiocy and nightmares, which is why I have misplaced the morning. In addition, I have regained the weight I lost from the depression. I have an unwavering hunger for sweets, but I’ve also heard of many other patients taking antidepressants (not neuroleptics). Whether this is necessarily due to Seroquel or perhaps an improvement in depression is questionable. Also, the mood swings have become much better; these have occurred in the course of depression treatment (not bipolar). Thus, the bad days are clearly limited. I can only advise anyone to try Seroquel, if he is advised by a medical officer (!!!). Anyway, who has a very low blood pressure anyway, should be careful. Regular ECG / blood count follow-up appointments are mandatory when taking neuroleptics plus antidepressants.

    Seroquel for Sleep disorders; Depression

I am now taking Serouewl for more than a year and have been given it partly with 900mg. Weight gain, not deep sleep, was always so strong in drive, nightmares, sweating, after about 7 months cramps in the whole body came to it, which increased more and more. Nothing helped. Can not even walk anymore – my muscles are totally tense, always. My liver values are way too high. Found a doctor who says I have dyskinesia. Psycho-parakeet not only inhibits the messenger substances in the brain, they are also destroyed forever. i.e. The dopamine is not only blocked at the receptors, but also irrevocably destroyed. Then at some point you have dopamine deficiency and that is the cause of dyskinesia, especially since dopamine 2 (D2) acts on the muscles and the extrapyramidal motor system (which is responsible for all nerve cell muscle cells). I can only advise anyone who has to take psycho drugs to inform themselves about it on the internet. Just give in side effects of neuroleptics and you can deal with them over the next few years.

Seroquel for Burnout syndrome; Fatigue; Depression

I broke down 1 1/2 years ago with a burnout. Add to that depression and guilt with a pronounced helper syndrome. I work in the medical field and have the feeling to have to help everyone. I have been successfully employed on Trevilor 150 retard and 75 retard for over a year now. In addition I take Mirtazapine 60 mg in the evening. I was with the drugs and doses super eingsetellt. I only told my doctor that I often sink in thoughts, then I should take in the evening in addition Seroquel 25 mg (I started n. Plan with a tablet and should now every 2 days by 1 tablet increase to a total of 4 Tbl.). But this did not happen. On Saturday evening I took the first tbl and immediately became extremely tired. I was paralyzed. In the morning I woke up and almost could not walk, I felt like swelling everything (neck, chest etc.), the kidneys and all the bones hurt me. I first thought of a viral infection …. over the day it became more violent. I could barely walk, had extreme vertigo attacks, a lot of everything out of my hand and I was completely beside the track, in addition were sweating, tremors, extreme restlessness, muscle twitching, speech difficulties, nausea, heart rhythm disturbances, nightmare, diarrhea. I was partly aggressive, whiny just at the end. In the evening I did not take the Seroquel. Today (Monday) it started almost the same early in the morning. I panicked, was alone at home. I immediately called my friend, who drove me to my doctor. He discontinued the medication immediately because I had all the side effects that were listed. This was a horror trip of the highest degree. I am now getting better and I’m glad that I did not take it yesterday. I have now prescribed Perazin, but now I see the whole thing very skeptical. I should only take it in an emergency.

    Seroquel for Sleep disorders; Depression

I did before I took seroquel. The leaflet read and your reports .. and was really afraid to take that .. because some reports are really too crassly formulated: O So I have to say that 25 mg of Seroquel Quetiapine is really good .. Well that means the compatibility with me nothing negative .. I was much better than the amitriptyline tired .. and after about 45 min I was already sleeping and the really long … I did not have nightmares. but in the time to the 45 min I found that all the pain stopped something .. & amp; from wide awake you turn it into dead tired .. as if you go in a nakose. I do not understand that some say .. the then candles degrees in the bed is .. because I think alone how tired you do that .. you can not really stop the eyes. and after waking up you feel really thoughtless and like newborn .. only one is still as if after a nakose totally dazed .. and can not think right – write and concentrate. the head has a severe .. you should take advantage of the effect (as time permits) and continue to sleep .. and then that also ends with the thinking-missing gaps. So I’ve taken today at 12 o’clock and have slept until 03:17 clock .. and am still tired and I think I will sleep until 7 o’clock .. I was awake from time to time and had hunger for 5 knoppers, then fried and later again on peaches .. I had a nightmare .. was completely cruel .. but i-how to set apart by the nightmares with themselves … so there you have to be really careful that you do not gain by the fresskick. I take this only for a day .. but I can give as a total score a 2. I think you should not go over 50mg maximum. it helps already 25mg very well and I do not know what to look like if you get prescribed 300mg .. but I am so satisfied as it is;) and hope the contribution has helped you side effects with me I would say: tiredness all day , Cravings for a lot of food, nightmares .. but so in general I can not complain about the medication.

    Seroquel for Depression

Initial dossis 25 mg, increased to 150 mg (since 2 weeks). Approximately 40 minutes after taking a sudden licking. Condition like drunk. I can not control my legs anymore. At night, the legs flew up and down again. The 1 night after the dose increase barely turning around in bed possible. Feeling like an immovable stone. For 2 days I hear voices after taking.Furthermore: Sudden fatigue, palpitations, sleep disorders, ADH syndrome, nightmares of which I will wake several times in the night.
