Lyrica for Syringomyelia; Disc prolapse; Fibromyalgia

I had very good experiences in the first months with Lyrica and Tilidin, had barely noticeable negative side effects, except that unfortunately I talk more than normal. Lyrica also had an anxiety-relieving and relaxing effect on me. However, my memory bothers me a little. In the last few months, Lyrica seems strangely paradoxical in the morning, mentally I feel mentally very bad for almost 1 hour after taking it, then it improves, but it does not help as much in the morning as it did in the beginning. The analgesic effect is not as good in the morning as it was in the beginning. Strangely, the combination helps me in the evening, preferably in the afternoon but then again very well. I can hardly say anything about Actonel in the short time it takes.

    Lyrica for Trigeminal neuralgia

I have had TN since 2006 and have had surgery in 2009. Could until today, however, the Lyrica never settle completely. The lowest dose was REHA 75 mg daily. At the moment I am back at 225 mg in the morning, 60 mg Cymbalta in the morning and 225 mg Lyrica in the evening (Violent attacks in summer 2013). Side effects – good question – I think that after all these years I got so used to the stuff that I do not remember how a life without side effects is.

My experiences with Lyrica I am 44 years old, male. Software developers. Overall, I took Lyrica for over 18 months. After a coccyx tear and subsequent partial resection, the pain persisted and even became worse in the scar area. The pain therapist prescribed Lyrica first with 2x50mg, then 2x75mg and later 2x150mg. Decisive for Lyrica was the assumption of unfavorably fused nerve endings after the operation. Lyrica is also said to help with surgical pain. At 2x50mg the side effects were moderate. At the time I made other circumstances responsible for the new sleep disturbances. The pain remained unchanged. With 2x75mg, the following side effects occurred: The cognitive performance was reduced. – Lack of concentration – Memory weakness (I could not remember the simplest things) – Weight gain 10 Kg in 6 months – Increased fatigue – Increased (!) Libido – Generally can not see well – Restless legs With 2x150mg – The pain got worse (!) Instead better. My whole buttocks hurt me all the time. Lately also in walking and standing. Sitting in the office for more than 6 hours was not possible. Car rides were tolerable for a maximum of 30 minutes. – slowed reactions – heavy double-vision already read after 10-30 minutes, screen work or television – photosensitivity. Violent starbucks. Night driving was only possible with sunglasses. – Additional weight gain of 10 kg in 6 months – Water retention in the legs. Support stockings were now required. – extreme tiredness! (I fell asleep multiple times in the office during work, which could have cost me my job if anyone had noticed!) – Severe memory problems (What’s the name of the item? Oh, that’s a spoonful). As a programmer, an unspeakable condition, though you can not remember how something works. My head is my capital. And if it does not work properly, I will be unemployed. – If I ever forget a dose, I got withdrawal symptoms. Muscle, limb and headache. These very serious side effects and the obvious lack of effect have led me to sneak away Lyrica. At the moment I am at 2x25mg and in three days at 1x25mg. A few side effects are partially gone (fatigue, restless legs) or at least reduced (sleep disorder, memory, increased libido). The rest is still unchanged. As a result of the sloughing, the following side effects have now been added, but they are supposed to disappear in the end. – Acne – Itching I do not want to advise against Lyrica, because there are probably good useful results. For me, however, the side effects were a hundred times worse than the expected positive effect. Interaction with other means is more likely to be ruled out. Except Lyrica, I took only occasionally Nexium 20mg because of stomach hyperacidity. Otherwise nothing else. Before I got Lyrica, I was prescribed tilidine drops, which only helped marginally. Now, with only 2x25mg Lyrica, after one year I finally feel awake again. I hope that really all side effects and very special the double images disappear again.

Lyrica for Intervertebral discs-op; Neuralgia; Pain (chronic)

M-beta belongs to the group morphine. Before being exposed to morphine, I had a number of other analgesics without any success. My blood levels were so miserable that no doctor knew what to do. Since I get along with morphine, my blood levels are also very good, so sometimes something positive. Unfortunately, other side effects such as: constipation, at first circulatory problems, loss of appetite …) are not enough, but I am clear today. Lyrica, I have against constantly, strong nerve tearing (100mg in the morning and 150mg in the evening). Now my constipation became a real problem for me. Circulatory / balance, vision problems and nausea were present. Memory disorders, decreasing attention, irritability, increased appetite (10kg in 10 months increased), loss of taste, dry mouth, abdominal distension, absolute listlessness and no desire for sex were also added. My liver value rose to 398 and should knowingly be no more than 40. Now we (doctor and I) wanted to let Lyrica run out within 3 days, which was far too fast. I got a heavy withdrawal. Very uncomfortable! Now we lower the dose within 14 days. I do not want to take Lyrica anymore because of the many side effects, which I have all received. I will then replace it with another medicine!

Lyrica works very well against nerve pain like trigeminal neuralgia. But it also has many negative effects especially on stomach, intestine, bile, liver, bladder, eyes, blood sugar, memory, significant weight gain, general condition. Over time, a significant feeling of illness sets in. It seemed to me that the muscles were paralyzed. I could not hold the chair and urine anymore. The occlusion from the esophagus to the stomach did not work anymore, especially at night gastric acid got into the esophagus up to my mouth and ran out of the corners of my mouth. The oral mucosa was full of blisters, as if corroded, the corners of the mouth became inflamed and no longer healed. Especially with the bladder weakness, flatulence and diarrhea, the much too high blood sugar levels and with the weight gain I can not live. In addition, I had word-finding problems and was often absent and cumbersome. If you are in the work process, you can not afford it. The board room wants to see performance, does not ask me how I am. I felt like I was developing Alzheimer’s. Now I do not take them for two weeks and the side effects go back slowly, I also hope the blood sugar, otherwise I have to legally do something – because that is not tolerable.
