    Ciprofloxacin for Ulcerative colitis

I have been taking ciprofloxacin for five days because of an intestinal inflammation. Fortunately, I do not have tendon and muscle pain, but I can hardly sleep anymore (despite a sleeping pill). The worst thing is – itching all over the body! I’m just scratching all day! I also have a rash on the scalp and vaginal fungus.

    Ciprofloxacin for Cystitis

I have been prescribed Ciprofloxacin for the treatment of cystitis by my GP (250mg, 2x a day). Previously, I had already received the antibiotic cotrimoxazole because of the same condition, which I tolerated very well and which also helped against the inflammation. So I assumed the Cipro would look similar and did not think much about taking it. The package leaflet lists the usual possible side effects that can be used to live well during treatment, as well as nothing that makes one alert. But after the first tablet, I felt strong changes. My arms felt heavy, my elbows hurt as if you were stabbing them with a knife. I felt dizzy, a short time later, a strong physical agitation, I could not sit still. Also, I was suddenly very easily irritable and aggressive (otherwise I am a more relaxed and calm person), broke down in tears for no reason and felt otherwise just sick. After the second pill I felt a tug in my thighs and back, my palms burning and I had a bad taste in my mouth. I felt tired but could not or did not sleep very well (during the entire treatment period). After the third tablet I had the impression that my fingers were swollen. Alarmed, I called in practice and told about my previous reactions. We weighed down, normal side effects, I should read the package insert. In the meantime, the treatment with Cipro had an effect on my work, I was no longer on the line, was unfocused and just stood next to me. Word-finding difficulties (spoken and written) and forgetfulness annoyed me in addition. My neck was cramping, my knees were inflamed and my knees were somehow taut. On the third day the diarrhea began, I had constant pressure on my stomach and ran half an hour away from the toilet. Meanwhile my fingers and toes hurt, also here I had the feeling of inflammations. On the penultimate day my whole body ached, most of the legs (calves and knees), the running was difficult, the corridor up a staircase made me very hard. I had spasms in the soles of my feet. Lying or sitting in one position did not take long, then new pain appeared at the pressure-loaded areas. The last use of the drug is over a month ago. As I write this, my fingers and wrists ache, my back and chest, and my legs still hurt. I hope the effect soon disappears. If you get the drug prescribed, ask your doctor what it is all about. If in doubt, prescribe a lighter remedy, I would never take Cipro for such a small bladder infection again!

    Ciprofloxacin for Diverticulitis

After 2.5 days, equivalent to 5 tablets, I had to stop due to the side effect of taking the drug. The following side effects occurred: pain in the upper abdomen, heart and left shoulder. Very large mood swings with depressive symptoms. Restlessness, insomnia and spontaneous fatigue. Chills with subsequent sweat attacks. Total loss of appetite After stopping taking it took another 5 days until all symptoms were almost gone. After the 3rd day I got very violent stomach cramps for several hours, then chills, had to lie in bed and could not move because of pain in the stomach were very large. At night my body began to sweat out the poisons and a penetrating stink of the whole body developed. After another day passed, where a significant improvement was recorded, bloating on the program with repeated sweating attacks and repeated complaints of the left shoulder joint and heart pains, but were not so strong. During the whole procedure, I lost 3 kg, but I’m in good hands to have everything over. The actual problems with the diverticula disappeared after one day. In retrospect, I have to realize that I was somehow mentally as in a bleak, accompanied by listlessness and very whining mood. Thank God there is still the naturopathy! Incidentally, only by a lot of drinking (about 3-4 liters a day) of chamomile, peppermint, linseed, fennel, and herbal teas the body was able to win against this poison successfully.

    Ciprofloxacin for Stomach-intestinal infection-

I had a gastrointestinal infection and without waiting for the blood result, I should start with a 2 x 500 mg intake on the same day the doctor visit. What I think, without diagnosis, generally questionable. My gastrointestinal discomfort had actually already subsided and the unpleasant, associated limb pain and fever, I had with a painkiller under control. On the second day, when taking the 4th tablet, there was an unpleasant noise in my ear, a feeling like behind a glass bell, the next night I spent almost sleepless and strong sweating and restless. In the morning, my gums were swollen and badly painful, my lip had thick cold sores and this condition continues today, 36 hours after the last tablet intake on. In addition I have head and neck pain. After taking the 4th tablet, because the ear noises were so scary to me and I felt really ill, I stopped taking it. By phone I could reach my doctor and also no ambulance, since it was Saturday and to the hospital, to the ambulance, I did not want. I would not have taken the antibiotic anyway. All in all, I have to say that I am quite stunned by my doctor, the whole therapy seems to me, as if you want to drive out the devil with the Belzebub, or vice versa. I’ve never experienced anything like that before and I get annoyed with myself in retrospect, that I was so gullible again and got involved in the whole matter.

    Ciprofloxacin for Fever

Almost all of the side effects described in the package insert have occurred after only 3 tablets. Due to severe nerve and muscle pain, I went to the hospital. Blood levels were very poor (especially the liver levels increased to over 400), and inflammatory levels were catastrophic. Knee, foot and shoulder joints and some fingers swelled and I was unable to walk for several days. After a 10-day hospitalization, I was released. Blood levels have returned to normal within about 3 months. Muscle and nerve pain occur again and again, as well as depressive moods. Stay away from ciprofloxacin! It is probably prescribed by the doctors, especially with urinary tract infections, because it is very cheap!

So far the worst medi ever that I ever gotAfter the third tablet, the nightmare began !!! My whole nerves, muscles, joints, every single fiber ached in my body. My left wrist was almost stiff, the right one almost as bad. Had cramps in arms and legs. Short and sweet every part of the body was as strongly inflamed. Extreme itching all over, worst on legs, feet. I almost scratched everything bloody !!! In the end I ended up in the hospital, got cetirizine and prednisolone for four days !!! My whole body responded to the crap in a highly forgiving manner. I’m never allowed to take the medi again, I was told !! Otherwise I will not come away so bleak next time !!! Ps .: had after taking another 3 months pain in joints, nerve fibers, etc! Could have been much longer. I know a case that still years later with the consequences of fighting, he will never live painless again! So please do not take that just heard the stuff forbidden!

    Ciprofloxacin for Urinary tract infection

I took 2 x daily Ciprofloxacin 250 mg for 5 days because I had a urinary tract infection. From the second intake day, I had the feeling of being completely beside me. I was very irritable and restless, had a bad headache and could hardly sleep. Then there were sweats, a general feeling of weakness, and an indefinable pull in both groins and the rectum. My family doctor closed up to a certain state of rest anything but side effects of ciprofloxacin … The urinary tract infection is well cured, the urine was o. Today, 10 days after discontinuation of the drug, fortunately all non-side effects are gone. I will definitely not take Ciprofloxacin and would always advise against this drug!

    Ciprofloxacin for Urinary tract infection

Hello, I took 250mg twice a day for seven days because of a urinary tract infection ciprofloxacin. Already on the second day the symptoms started: insomnia, depression, hot flashes, skin rash, tachycardia. At first, I could not connect to the antibiotic until I felt so bad that I then discontinued it. The bad thing is that the side effects do not go away. There are now 5 weeks over and new problems are added: Tingling on the skin, especially hands and feet, the right cheek and the eye are numb and swollen, sometimes no strength in the hands to make a fist and a constant dizziness, making one unable to think and act clearly. Much has improved in the meantime like tachycardia and hot flashes. I do not give up the hope that everything will go away again, but no doctor can help me even more and I am currently in a crisis, of course, with no foreseeable end. I’ve read a lot of similar reviews here and of course can only WARNING BEFORE THIS MEDICAMENT. You get something about the practice pushed WITHOUT DECLARATION, without hints, and then no one wants to have known anything and you will be referred to the leaflet and no one can imagine that comes through this drug. There is a The Flox Report QUINOLONE ANTIBIOTICS TOXICITY. March 2007 as PDF in English for reading and downloading. You will find yourself with his problems guaranteed. Unfortunately, one is also confronted with the reality and looks depending on the duration and intake of Cipro very very bad. THE NW LASTING !!!

    Ciprofloxacin for Urinary tract infection

Was prescribed due to a strong urinary tract infection. After first use (2 x 250 mg) insomnia, joint pain, itching all over and nausea. Diarrhea and severe nausea the next morning, accompanied by abdominal cramps and pain in the limbs. In the evening blood and mucus in the stool. After extensive research, I have seen that this drug causes alarmingly often strongest NWs, which sometimes even to irreversible tendon and nerve damage, etc. have led (see also other reports here). Must stop the drug and tomorrow wg for emergency service. the blood in the stool and my now swollen knees, which hurt a lot. I have never had such strong Nws on a drug and have never felt so bad when taking it. Will not try it in the future, no second time.

    Ciprofloxacin for Sinusitis; Cystitis

Hi, Since I had cystitis and sinusitis, this drug was prescribed to urine sample me. The first intake was noticeably bad because I was struggling with bad nausea and insomnia. The second intake I have already halved, the nausea was better then came but circulation problems and acute diarrhea. Effectiveness I can not really say anything except that helped me the two days that my cystitis (cystitis) was painless, so I think that this is already on the antibiotic back. If I have something like that again I will ask my doctor for another antibiotic. Will only use it in the worst case.
