Actos for Diabetes mellitus type ii

Although no weight gain was desired and therefore no insulin was given, I got actos 45 prescribed. I have 20 KG !!!! increased and bad water retention in the legs. My current diabetologist discouraged me immediately and made it easy for me to get started with metformin. Incidentally, Actos 45 could trigger or amplify a heart failure.

to Actos: Finally, after 5 years, this is over thanks to my new diabetologist. At first I tolerated them very well … at least I thought !!! Today looking back and looking at your descriptions, it was fatal to take these pills … shortness of breath, 32 kg weight gain, heart stumbling, lumbar pain, edema in the feet, etc., but the worst was a severe upper arm fracture with titanium plates in 04/2005 had to be treated by a difficult operation, in the same year 6 months later a finger fracture on the same arm and another 2 months later again on the same arm a break of the memory head in the elbow …. all these fractures were caused by a very simple stumbling and falling. .. Today I know by reading that such fractures can be one of the many side effects of Actos … I wonder how long it will take until this remedy will disappear from my body … at least after 3 weeks weaning already 5 kg disappeared … to Meglucon: due to an operation 2 weeks ago I had to discontinue this drug for 1 week and felt terribly well he … when I started again I had 4 days of total nausea with abdominal pain, body aches, listlessness, permanent fatigue. If it does not get better, I’ll think about stopping and an alternative to this drug.

Actos for Diabetes mellitus type ii

Hello Good day, 3 years ago, I was switched to NovoRapid, so far well tolerated so far, however, my weight increased constantly and I sometimes got a little shortness of breath. End of May d.J. I was switched to Actos, I tolerated it very well at first, I felt much better than with NovoRapid, but gradually turned out respiratory problems to acute respiratory distress. I discontinued the medication, started NovoRapid again, but the breathing problems associated with heart stumbling continued to increase. My question? Has anyone had similar experiences?????? I would like to learn more. Sincerely, Hannah K

Actos for Diabetes mellitus type ii

I am Actoc for 6 months. At the beginning I was very satisfied, the blood value had decreased (from 8.5 to 7.3). So far, I have not paid attention to Nebeenwirkungen. I have more pain in the shoulder for a longer time, urge was not clear. Since they were slow, I could not see any connection. But in the last months have increased, 5 KILO. Also, I have off and you mild blurred vision (blurry vision) is unclear. I want to settle it now, it’s just the question of what to do next? If you have experience, please send a short mail. mfg Klinkenberg

Actos for Diabetes mellitus type i

After 9 months of taking the medicine I stop today. I’m looking for 6 months, what’s wrong with me. Sleep disorders (3-hour rhythm between sleeping and being awake), water retention in the legs, very high weight gain (30kg), back pain in the back, muscle aches and shortness of breath. I am a very agile person, have a large plot (4000m2) to manage, so with phlegmatism is not. But since November last year, I’ve noticed that I was very short of breath, all my muscles and bones hurt. Strong ankle swelling since January. Sleep disorders since September07. none of the consulting physicians could tell me anything. Neither the diabetes doctor, nor others. Cardiac ECG long-term o.B. But I did not want to accept it now. I came across this forum, have read and now it’s over with funny. From now on, I stop using this medicine. If that was the case, there will be an improvement. Thank you for reading this forum, was very helpful.

Actos for Diabetes mellitus type i

Pain in the right upper abdomen and back – was suspected shingles. Weight gain 15 kg – starting dizziness. After discontinuing Actos 45, the weeks-long discomfort disappeared. Although Actos 45 helps to reduce the blood sugar levels, but too strong side effects.

Actos for Diabetes mellitus type ii

Starting visual disturbance, blurred vision; Weight gain well 35Kg in the 5 years; Impotence and constantly tired, as well as mad pain in the large joints, especially the knee joints. Every way is too far and hurts. Enormous water retention in the lower legs. Sleep disorders; If it takes a long time to sleep at most 2 hours at a time and erectile dysfunction. On the whole side effects only become aware of through conversations with other patients, only then / now only read the leaflet. The treating diabetologist did not notice anything during the whole time. New doctor’s appointment is already, then he has to come up with something. I’m so sorry! Actually, I could have read the note from Actos 45 right away, but I followed the doctor’s instructions and took it nicely. Never again!

Actos for Diabetes mellitus type ii

Initially, the blood values, taking into account the further drug intake of Eucreas 1000 were very positive and gone down from sober (morning 160 to 120). Now after about 6 months, constant weight gain of 10 kg in one month. Constant pain in the spine, nerve pain in the muscle of the thigh. The assumption of these flicks have something to do with the hip prosthesis. However, no changes to the cause were noted. I will now discontinue the drug Actos and see how much my pain and weight change are changing. (My diabetologist seems to do a study with these two drugs)

Side effects: Back pain; Increase in weight

Actos for Diabetes mellitus type ii

I have gained about 50 kg in 2 years, got extreme edema in the thighs, which in turn had to be treated with fursosemide. As an effect enhancer to the insulins NovoRapid and Levemir Actos -30 was not to beat! My daily insulin requirement dropped from about 200 I.E. Novorapid to ca.80 / 90 I.U. while the Levemir requirement remains unchanged at 3β I.E. stayed in the morning + evening. HbA1c was lowered from 10.5 to 8.5, which I rate as the success of Actos-30. Whether the strong weight gain on Actos -30 is due, is doubtful, rather I typed lack of exercise (am wheelchair user). Family doctor wants to sell Actos-30 because of the increased heart attack risk.

Side effects: Edema; Increase in weight

significant weight gain of 8 kg, more often heartache (stitches) and joint pain especially in the arms. Actos was discontinued and metformin should be taken instead (one tablet each after breakfast or after dinner). After 1 – 2 weeks the renal values should be checked.
