After heart attack, too high blood pressure and high uric acid, were prescribed as drugs by the HSK Wiesbaden: bisoprolol 2.5 mg, 100 mg aspirin, lisinopril 10 mg (and allopurinol prescribed only by the family doctor). Ingested for 14 months at age 81 years. Now I have the suspicion that Allopurinol (taken in the evening) could be responsible for the fact that cardiac arrhythmias occurred at night. All medications I have – without asking a doctor – tentatively omitted for several days. Blood pressure has remained unchanged at an average of 125: 75 and pulse 60. Arrhythmias do not seem to occur anymore. If blood pressure rises, I will take medication again.

Significant muscle spasms throughout the body, heart complaints, skin piercing and -ausschlag. It took four days for the symptoms to subside. A later retry with Allopurinol 100 showed the same symptoms.

Allopurinol for Gout
My mother-in-law was prescribed this medicine because of aching limbs (feet), in less than 2 weeks my mother became more and more tired and complained of a twitching in the right eyelid. One week later acute skin rash on the body worst on the face. Dandruff-like and totally red-eyed. She also complained of cardiac arrhythmias and sleep disturbances. In my opinion, this drug should be banned because it can cause extreme side effects and even death in different patients taking the drug.
