Tamoxifen for Ormond
Tamoxifen in Ormond disease is THE solution! The treatment was 4 months with 40mg of prednisolone (cortisone), which made me TOTAL ready. Depression, impotence, and absolute weakness … My testosterone level was at the level of a 12-year-old boy before puberty, and I had extreme bone pain. At my insistence, I persuaded a family doctor to try Tamoxifen. After 4 months of tamoxifen, the side effects are: constant cold feet, infection with E-Coli bacteria, and occasional headache with tinnitus. The positive side effects: Testosterone is back in the upper normal range, frequent erections (which were completely gone under prednisolone), have fun again! An MRI showed the efficacy of tamoxifen, and the inflammatory levels were again halfway OK. I can only advise every MAN with Ormond’s disease to try TAMOXIFEN because the side effects compared to cortisone and azathioprine are ONE JOKE !!! I do not want to conceal the slightly increased heart attack and stroke risk, but that also exists with cortisone. For women, tamoxifen is of course hell, because the estrogens are blocked, but a blessing for men. I hope I could help somebody to get rid of the cortisone! Do not forget: Stay persistent when you ask for a switch to TAMOXIFEN, because there is no standard treatment for Ormond’s disease, and many doctors dare not try! PS: In the beginning (about 4 weeks), the pain became stronger, but apparently only underlines the effectiveness. Get well !

Tamoxifen for Breast cancer
Due to the brood cancer diagnosed in May 2014, therapy with tamoxifen has been taking place for 3 weeks. 20mg of tamoxifen every day for four days. I then had psychotic relapses with loss of control and massive fears. On the advice of the treating gynecologist, I discontinued the drug and the symptoms described disappeared. Now I have been taking tamoxifen for a few days now; but lower doses, 10 mg daily. Since then, I’ve had the many side effects: lack of concentration, headache, diffuse weakness, dry mucous membranes … I want to continue the therapy and currently have the feeling that it is good for me to be able to take action against the cancer. I try to be physically active every day. But enough strength and I counteract the side effects. I have low body weight. The dose should be sufficient. Does anyone have experience with the low dosage?
