    Mirena for Menstrual complaints

I am glad that I am not the only one. When I was used about 2 years ago, the Mirena, I had a huge pleasure with it. I started a new job, had a new husband and my FA thought this contraceptive fits exactly in your new life! Great! , I thought so. I have to say that five years ago I had tried various hormone supplements for contraception (various pills, nuvaring, …) as well as to alleviate my menstrual problems (severe, very painful menstrual period). The same side effects always occurred. And my FA always told me that I’m imagining them all. So I was glad when it said that the hormone spiral only releases hormones locally and the rest of the body is not burdened. I was well prepared with vaginal tablets to soften the cervix. The insertion itself hurt me terribly. It was a strong pain inside that caused nausea – indefinable. For two days I had a dull ache. The spotting bleed quickly and meanwhile I had no mens left. Every day I needed a bag of magnesium, otherwise I had abdominal cramps. Well – it was nice, you did not have to worry about his prevention and the absence of the mens was a nice side effect. The abdominal cramps could be handled very well with magnesium. My side effects occurred slowly. I am always very tired, choppy and moody. In addition, I got back pain, which was accompanied by constant headache. The headache in turn triggered dizziness, visual and concentration disorders. Loss of desire of 120% – I would like that my friend only hugs me and if he comes too close to me, I immediately go goose bumps and feel tense. Terrible, is not it ?! Oh well. I did not associate all of these symptoms with Mirena. Why? Local hormones do not do anything. I had my entire body checked, seeking advice from alternative medicine practitioners, TCM practitioners and physiotherapists. Finally, everyone was at the end of their knowledge. I was healthy, but felt terrible. As if I would miss my life. The last few days everything was much worse than usual – at some point, my friend has expressed the suspicion that he suspected these symptoms behind Mirena. I was dumbfounded, I did not want to believe it. But then I googled and found hundreds of testimonials. Reports from women who have had a similar experience as me. Our decision was quickly fixed – appointment at the FA and out with the killer thing out of my body. Yesterday I had the appointment and when I made my decision, I first had to hear that I would probably suffer from depression. The spiral probably does not have much to do with my condition. I did not give up and now she is out. Short, severe pain – accompanied by nausea. Everything is different today. I’m crazy, just eat chocolate and do not know where I’m missing. Maybe already Hormonentzug? I wish and expect that the next months will be better for me and that I will find my way back to myself. Never again do I leave foreign hormones in my body. That’s for sure. My intention is not to maul Mirena here. No. I know women who are doing well and who are comfortable with her. That’s a good thing – but everyone has to find their own way in this area.

Mirena for Pain (joint); A headache

I’m sooo mad !! This beforehand … Have for 7 months, the Mirena spiral (due to heavy bleeding, iron deficiency). Have hardly any bleeding – but that is the only thing that works. Otherwise I have the following symptoms for three months: – from one day to the other daily joint pain in the fingers – again headaches – strong susceptibility to tension (especially neck area) – permanently cold hands – tiredness – sensitive breasts – 6 kg increased in 6 months ( despite exercise and normal food). Certainly a lot of – water retention in the legs and associated with something – stronger varicose veins I was in the last three months: – once with the gynecologist (The spiral is actually very well tolerated, you are probably exhausted., Working too much, right?) – twice with different family doctors with twice blood findings at intervals of one month: no gout, no rheumatism. Probably finger arthritis, because you can unfortunately do nothing, except ointment lubricate (I was horrified !!! And I was afraid, how to continue!) – 8 times with the massage á 70 euros for the persistent neck pain – and have hours of my life for the independent search on the various complaints spentbecause apparently no doctor can think combined !! That’s just crazy! Since a few days, I suspect and at least since reading the other stories of suffering, I’m sure (ALL, completely SAFE) where all this comes from this Mirena spiral! And I wonder too: how can such a thing be allowed !! Have the gynecologist already spoken to tape, that I want to have an appointment immediately. Am SOOOO SAUER on this WOMAN !!! (Incidentally, I paid 500 euros for the insert Please pay cash and without invoice!). – I will print the testimonials and give them to the FAREWELL. I’m glad if the thing is out and with the heavy bleeding I’m getting better after this horrible experience also better.

    Mirena for Aggressiveness

My 1st Mirena I have after the birth of my son lay and was synonymous with no problems with her. There were no difficulties when inserting and not in the entire gestation period, I felt positive that there was hardly any bleeding and if , then the matter was done in 3 days. The 2nd I left, without questioning, because I have them well tolerated, after the birth of my daughter insert. Puh-the insertion was painful and for the rest of the day I had a lot of pain (like putting an umbrella in my stomach) in my stomach and back, I could barely stand up, let alone walk. With a slight headache It started and spread to irritability, constant fatigue, sexual listlessness, but also listless and impulsive in everyday life, greater appetite aus.Ich got not only hair loss but also gray hair. About 1.5 years ago, I have the Mirena removed, meanwhile, I am in psychological treatment and can also equal to the divorce process. I am not only 20 kg heavier, but also in essence very changed; I have always been a positive and happy person. I can only guess that the choice of contraceptives should be carefully considered!

    Mirena for Overweight

Hello, I have on the recommendation of gynecologist, because I had so unbearable pain and extremely strong and sometimes 8-9 days lasting menstrual bleeding, which can be used Mirena. Was always a rather sporty always well-tempered person, have kept for years without any effort my normal weight of about 58-61 kg fabulous, if I had eaten a-two days less, I immediately lost a kilo. since Mirena- mood swings headache (I had never before) and now almost 75 kg although I eat neither more nor different than before and my movement has remained the same. My FA said it would rather come from the age ago – this is normal if the body is slowly moving to the menopause (ha ha – I’m 42 :-() for some time, I get also malignant spotting – spasms in the abdomen …. My decision has now been made after reading your experiences – IMMEDIATELY WITH THE THING! I will tell you what changes afterwards.

Hello, I had the Mirena laid about 2 1/2 years ago, after I absolutely did not want to become pregnant with two adult children and over 40. My gynecologist recommended the hormonal spiral so that I can rest for the next 5 to 6 years. All of my concerns about side effects have wiped her away with explanations. So it was time, the insertion of the spiral. On the first try, it did not work out, my cervix is too firm despite the birth – nothing went – so one month waited and right on the first day of the bleeding back. The stretching of the cervix was absolutely painful and lasted quite a long time. When it was time and the Mirena was used, I had the feeling she comes through the uterus and abdominal wall back out … pain without end, the circulation has cut me to a huge pool of blood was with. I have to stay in practice for over an hour – they gave me 800 ibuprofen. After that I had about 6 months constantly pulling and pain, my days were sometimes much stronger than before. After 6 months it got better – the FA said my uterus is fighting against the spiral so badly. That happens … Then I was a few months better, the bleeding was less, no more pain. But after 9 – 10 months it went off with hair loss, no more desire for sex, funny thick yellow discharge, nausea, cystitis, frequent headaches …. and then came as insidious depressive moods to depression. I never had anything before. My gynecologist only said that does not come from the Mirena – can not be. And she does not know a woman who has such problems with Mirena. My girlfriend has a similar problem and goes to the same gynecologist … In the last investigation a few weeks ago I’m back with the gynecologist and she is still of the opinion, that does not come from the Mirena. Now I researched on the Internet and found that there are many women with the same problems. So, my decision is firm – the thing comes out again after nearly 2 1/2 years – and I hope, I’ll be back soon as good as before … There are certainly women who tolerate the Mirena well, but me think it’s all shit that the gynecologist do not enlighten about any side effect, but pretend that all this has nothing to do with the Mirena. Please think carefully, if you use such a part !!!

I have had the mirena for almost 5 years. The onset was very painful and in the 5 years with Mirena I had many complaints that fit into the picture of side effects. My doctor said that of course this could not be related to the Mirena and I resigned myself to it then. Well, I’m looking for a new contraceptive and have also come across a number of reports about Mirena. Now I list the side effects that I have since. The doctors have not found another cause: headache, weight gain, pimples, decreased libido, abdominal pain, gastrointestinal pain, and for about a year strong, almost unbearable pain during orgasm. not always, but depending on intensity and position. I changed the doctor and now change over to the copper chain

Mirena for Sleep disorders; Mood swings; Libido disorders; Acne; Cycle disorder; A headache; Pain (acute)

I am shocked and do not even know where to start writing … I had Mirena put on after the birth of our third child, because I put special emphasis on the safety of contraception 🙂 headaches and bleeding over half a year, it started. Then one after the other came: bad mood, mood swings, Ausraster where I stand partially off and wonder about myself. I almost always have abdominal pain and the libido is not only zero, but really moves in the minus area! Then it went parallel with pimples in the face (is getting worse !!!) And sleep problems continue. Now night sweats were added. And so hard that I have to change at night. The spiral has been in it for only a year, but seen a year too long, because I had no fun in life at the time. Next week the thing will come out irrevocably !!!

Abdomen – abdominal pain especially during ovulation, (worse than at the mens) different strength / days of bleeding during mens, listlessness, fatigue, bladder infections, permanent fungal infections, headache migraine, blemished skin / greasy hair, all started very slowly. The good thing is hardly gaining weight in contrast to my old pill, but venous problems in the legs

I am now 30 years old and have used the mirena after the birth of my son. everything sounded good, no more rule, 5 years of protection, only locally acting gestagene, almost never problems observed, etc. I agreed, but it was completely different. I had my rule for about 1 year, then it stopped slowly. it was not that dramatic, but the other changes were really bad. I got sweats, shortly after the bath I was already sweaty and smelled unpleasant (so typical hormonal), I had zero lust for sex with my husband. It was over 3 1/2 years that I have rarely slept with my husband. which of course did not necessarily meet with great enthusiasm. I had a headache and unbearable whimsy. when we had sex, I had pain and it was unpleasant. sometimes my husband had to stop, because the thread had made him feel that he was hurting. It was a disaster. have cut the thread, nothing brought, have told of my complaints, got only the information: \\\ That can not come from the mirena, which works only locally, if I make them out, then she is out and if they still have the complaints then they get annoyed. So, let them in there. In the end, it got so bad recently that I was sick for weeks, I got sweats, just lay on the couch and was totally at the end. All the internist things were clarified until I got the advice from my GP that I should have the mirena removed, maybe I have a hypersensitivity. because according to her statement small amounts of gestagene go very well in the bloodstream and if you do not tolerate, it comes to such an impact. What can I say, the mirena is outside and I feel like I was born again. no nausea, no sweat, my pimples disappear, my whole general condition has improved, good mood, lust for sex, fun again, no pain. All I can say is that I think there must be better education about what you do to your body with these hormone hammers. for me it is clear – never mirena

I had the third Mirena spiral inserted in June 2010, as it was recommended to me by my doctor so. The onset was bearable, a little stomachache, little spotting. After a few weeks I was physically so bad that I googled my complaints. I came across this forum and I got a light on. So decided to the doctor with the desire to remove the spiral again. With my request, I fell on deaf ears, the Mirena was well tolerated, my complaints came from private stress and my physical work. The doctor talked me into the spiral (cost so much, I would have a bad conscience to you.) But if I really wanted it then I should come back. Okay, I thought, hasty decisions may not be good. By now it has become March 2011 and my various complaints have not improved. I count on what bothers me, what I feel worst first: Constant tiredness and listlessness (every activity is a torment, I have to get myself up to everything), constant exhaustion, almost every day tension or pain in the chest (lately with pain up to under the armpits), mild nausea, loss of libido, often headache, a dripping nose all year round (allergy tests were negative), pain in the groin with pulling up to the legs (heavy legs), numb hands, dry skin. Yesterday I was back at the doctor and I have the Mirena removed, she tried not even to persuade me again. By the way, everywhere you will find in this practice Mirena advertising, In the waiting room various brochures, in the hall, in the treatment room. A rogue of evil thinks …. Now I’m curious how I’m going in the next few weeks, I hope the veil of fatigue and pain is lifting!

I have Mirena for 4 years, the first years everything was ok. I was satisfied until I fell over half a year ago and came to the hospital under suspicion stroke after which I am umversek I could not speak for about 6 hours. Since that I am really bad I have anxiety, depression, headache, I would examine whole body it would not set anything organic. I go to work every day and I’m afraid that something can happen, I can barely drive because of dizziness. I still get my days regularly, but two weeks before that begins with my discomfort breast tension, itch in the vagina, mood swings, headaches and strong dizziness so I think I fall over the same. A few weeks ago, my colleague approached me about the HS and told me that her friend had almost the same complaints and had the HS taken out, since she’s fine. I also think about reading my dear ones. I first thought that maybe it’s not okay with me, my husband even advised me that I might go to the psychiatrist, I’ve never thought in life that the HS so ausirckung, but after which I now read the reports I am convinced that it is the spiral. I’ll make an appointment with the FÄ as soon as possible. I thank you for your experiences.

Hello. I let the spiral in January 2006 use. Was also as good as painless. I am very happy to have found this site because I feel worse month by month and no doctor can find anything. So my ordeal began in September 2006. I got a violent panic attack in the middle of the night (did not know at the time what was a panic attack) so off to the hospital with the suspicion of pulmonary embolism. I was scared at night. After a week hospital some fit again. My doctor said domestic overload and advised me to cure. Said to have gone to the cure in December 2006. Then I went to march 2007 great. In March again a week hospital with the same suspicion as in September. Nobody could tell me what I miss. Well and so we went on. I was getting worse by the day. My gynecologist said that it does not depend on the spiral. In January 2008 again hospital with suspected stroke. After a week back home without you found anything. In December 2008, just before Christmas again hospital with Verdact on MS all examinations without findings. Had only meant that it was something nervous best I would go to a psychologist. Where I was not until today. Then finally I found this page and what I read here for the most part is like my story of suffering. I immediately made an appointment with a new gynecologist and Monday she comes out. Just hope that then the symptoms go away. The side effects with me were: anxiety attacks, panic attacks, sleep problems, loss of libido, difficulty breathing, depression, palpitations, drop in blood pressure, blood pressure increase, headache to migraine, vision loss, tingling on the face, weight gain, mood swings, fear of dying, fear of having a bad illness , Dizziness, back pain, etc …..

Hello, I did not tolerate Mirena and my gyn pulled her back after 1 year. Bleeding periods were normal and headache, irritability and sexual desire too. BUT I also lost weight, even though I ate like a barn shredder I have never had. Eat what I wanted and I have lost weight 🙂 Now I take the pill again and everything is the same (unfortunately have my old weight again but everything else is good again)

Mirena for Uterine fibroids; Iron deficiency; Hypermenorrhoea

I am 44, after a long time back and forth, I have had the mirena used because of iron deficiency (again and again ferritin infusions) due to excessive bleeding due to miomen. that was 5 days ago. For three days I have suffered from extreme tingling in the stomach and back, weakness in my legs, howling attacks, tremors, breathlessness, mild nausea and headache. I will have the mirena removed immediately.

The laying of the spiral was very painful! I almost fainted. At first, it was great to stop bleeding. There were spotting, abdominal pain, fluid retention in the uterus, vaginal dryness, libido, extreme irritability and mood swings. This in turn led to conflicts in the partnership. I felt more and more like robbing me of the best years of my life! Constantly wearing a panty liner for fear of not being able to hold the water. I felt like 80! Creeping more and more things came to it; Anxiety, headache, depression !!! The bad thing is, I’ve thought for years, it’s up to me, although I did not know myself like that! Also I never got a leaflet to face. Now this thing has been out for a year and those miserable conditions are gone! Thank goodness Libido is back, but there is a year of hard partnership work behind me! Girls, listen to your body and do not let the doctors persuade you that everything is OK! Is not it! And depression is not funny!

The onset was extremely painful, the cramps went back even then slowly. After just a few days, I began to experience side effects such as severe nausea, diarrhea, spasmodic headache, pain and feeling of coldness in the legs, severe abdominal pain and bleeding, especially after and during GV. The next period was very strong, painful and lasted 11 days. I went to my GP after 3 weeks and was examined because I first thought I had a virus. All findings were negative. After another three weeks with these symptoms, I was dehydrated, nervous and physically exhausted. I had chills and a slight fever. I then did some research, because my gynecologist sent me away saying that it was not from the spiral or that my body needed to get used to it. I then insisted that she be pulled back. All complaints have receded within 2 weeks. It is a scandal that the risk of intolerance is actively concealed by most medical specialists. Meanwhile, I know that this is well known. Although the hormones are given locally in the uterus, but go very well into the blood. Meanwhile, I have a hormone-free spiral and am very satisfied with it.
