    Ciprofloxacin for Ulcerative colitis

I have been taking ciprofloxacin for five days because of an intestinal inflammation. Fortunately, I do not have tendon and muscle pain, but I can hardly sleep anymore (despite a sleeping pill). The worst thing is – itching all over the body! I’m just scratching all day! I also have a rash on the scalp and vaginal fungus.

Biter-sour taste after ingestion on the tongue, now persistent fungus on it. In my opinion – a wrong decision of the doctor to recommend this preparation first. Another drug would have done it without causing such damage. I’m totally dissatisfied.

    Ciprofloxacin for Urinary tract infection

Have this drug in March this year by my family doctor because of a urinary tract infection prescribed. First I took 500mg twice a day for 5 days, then the treatment was extended by another 5 days. Already while taking the first side effects showed: internal restlessness, Durchschlafprobleme, anxiety, depression, stomach and intestinal complaints (mucus and blood in the stool). Did not smell the treatment but (which I should have done better). After completing the intake it was really thick! My depression got even worse in end-time mood and that at the age of 36, plus muscle and tendon pain (could not even carry a backpack on my shoulder anymore). The stomach and intestinal complaints turned out to be a full-blown gastritis after a reflex (had no problems in this area before) and on the tongue I also got a nice fungal infection. Now 3 months later and 200 € poorer (which I was allowed to spend against the fungal infection and to build my broken intestinal flora) I’m still not completely free from side effects. Because of the depression and anxiety I am looking for some time now a therapist. For the muscle and joint pain I go for 2 months to massage and physiotherapy. Anyone can only guess beforehand to know exactly whether this drug is the right one for him, for me this type of drugs are no longer in question because my life and my health is too important. I used to tolerate other antibiotics well.

    Ciprofloxacin for Urinary tract infection

I have been prescribed ciprofloxacin for the treatment of a urinary tract infection and then took 3 days. The effect against the infection itself I found to be very good. Already on the 2nd day of taking the symptoms had decreased significantly and on the 3rd intake day, I had no complaints in the ureter more. I can only confirm the most common side effects of nausea and headache. These occurred on the second intake day, but on the third day they were gone again. As a side effect I got a fungal infection in the vaginal area towards the end of the treatment. Since antibiotics generally kill both the bad and the good bacteria, the risk of such an infection is probably very high, especially among women. As I learned from the gynecologist, should woman during antibiotic intake a lactic acid cure (there’s over the counter in the pharmacy) make to strengthen the vaginal flora and thus prevent unhindered fungal growth. That’s what my family doctor would have liked to tell me before, if he knew it. So I had to learn this unfortunately through my own experience. On the leaflet of Ciprofloxacin is listed a fungal infection in the top 3 of over 40 (!) Side effects.
