Metformin for Diabetes mellitus type ii

After having treated my type II diabetes through diet and exercise alone (under medical supervision), the values got mixed up in the fall of last year. The fasting sugar daily was over 130 to 170 mg / dl. Then I was prescribed metformin. After initial diarrhea (about 2 days), I initially tolerated the drug very well – except for constant bloating. My blood glucose levels developed fantastically and were better than during the whole previous therapy period. After 2 months of taking time I had for the first time in my life an acute episode of psoriasis (head, genital area – very uncomfortable !!!, thighs, elbows and hands). The prescribed (cortisone-containing) ointments did not help, but thanks to MF, my sugar levels remained good, despite cortisone. After I discontinued MF at the end of January on the recommendation of the dermatologist, psoriasis healed spontaneously. Since my sugar levels were initially within tolerable range again, the doctor agreed that I would not take medication at first. Now the values play crazy again (fasting sugar up to 200 mg / dl) and also the long-term sugar has risen for the first time, instead of falling, so that I now get another medicine. The doctor does not want to prescribe me because of the side effects observed with me MF. What’s more: Here write all of weight loss, I was ALWAYS hungry under the intake of MF and since my blood sugar levels were still good, if I have eaten more (including carbohydrates), I have given in to my hunger. With the success that I have gained 9 pounds from the year before, I lost 15 pounds (this weight I had also kept 1 year). Now without MF I’m not so hungry and I am slowly but steadily decreasing. Can anyone explain to me?

Metformin for Polycystic ovaries; Diabetes mellitus type ii

I have been taking metformin for 16 days now. In the first week I started with 1 x 500, now I take 1 x 1000 and from next week I should increase to 1 x 1500. I’ve been having flatulence and diarrhea since then. Since the increase to 1000 comes tremendous nausea feeling and crazy sweats as in women with menopause added. That makes me crazy. Besides, I’m just tired and always exhausted. Is that normal? I would like to stop it, because without metformin I feel better.

Although metformin lowers the blood sugar well, so the effectiveness is very good, you can not ignore the enormous side effects: For me it is gastrointestinal discomfort (bloating, flatulence,)

Metformin for Diabetes mellitus type ii

It is the second time that I get a cortisone therapy over 5 days. the first time it was 1000 mg. now 500 mg.Today comes the third infusion. This time it is also gods thanks to outpatient, but work and so is still not. Last red head and totally aufpuscht. You can not really sleep and do not rest and do not really do anything. Sometimes not even sleeping properly. Feels bloated (especially in the evening) and often has to water, because I also drink a lot, because I always get animal thirst and unfortunately always a bitter taste in the mouth. Also, I still have a pressure on my ear. That’s what I love about it. It gets harder every day, but it can be tolerated since I can go home after the infusions. It’s a pity that you are unexpectedly missing at work and then get back in again, although you are still a bit exhausted. Still had red, hot head and pressure on my ear the last time. Hope this will be better this time! I wish you all the best!

by order of the internist – test phase now for 2 weeks – morning 1 Jardiance 10 mg very good tolerability. In the evening 1 metformin – result – severe flatulence, upper abdominal and abdominal pain (hopefully not pancreas – which is described in the leaflet) decreased about 2 kg – probably due to increased urinary excretion after about 2 hours after taking metformin cravings for sweets and strong hunger. I take the tablet for dinner before 18.00 clock.

Metformin for Depression; Diabetes mellitus type ii

Cipralex: The first two weeks no side effect (slowly increased), but quickly felt better (inwardly stable and robust). Ok, some constipation and abdominal twitching, v.a. at night. In the third week now more often nausea, v.a. at night (take a tablet of 10 mg in the morning!) and tonight even a circulatory collapse with extreeeemer nausea and very high body temperature. Strong pain in feet and hands. In addition, dizziness, not good at driving … Have really only little appetite. Metformin: increased slowly: In addition to flatulence (for months) no side effects, but depends on nutrition: If you eat low-fat and meatless, you can tolerate it very well. Always start small and slowly increase the dose. Effect: at the beginning clearly (more energy), meanwhile again very tired and thirsty all the time. You also have to follow the sugar-free diet, otherwise it will not work. Aspirin100: Wow! No more headaches every day, almost no more regular pain !! Incredible!! Great!

Metformin for Diabetes mellitus type ii

For the first few days I had very severe stomach problems, nausea, headaches. These disappeared creeping after about 14 days. Since the beginning of therapy, I have had an unpleasant change in the consistency of my chair. This is 90% mushy. Also today I occasionally have stomach cramps and an acoustically unpleasant gurgling in the abdomen. Flatulence is also a constant unpleasant side effect in acoustic and nasal form. I feel rather flawed and partially without a drive. Since ingestion, I also have side effects with the skin, ranging from mild redness and itching to open spots on the back. My doctor says there are clearly drug-related side effects. I do not take any other medicines. My health insurance probably pays no other, more expensive drugs. According to therapy recommendation, I should take it. But I’m not ready to continue tollerieren this mass of side effects.

Metformin for Diabetes mellitus type ii

My endocrinologist prescribed metformin for insulin resistance. The first 2 days I had about 2 hours after taking to fight with latent nausea. The first 4 weeks when creeping in and then another 2 weeks after a dose increase, I had a bloating stomach. So far I did not know that, reminded me very much of a symptom of pancreatitis. I felt limp, had a sore stomach and was exhausted after the slightest stress (climbing stairs, shopping). After about 5-6 weeks my liver values (g-GT), which are already increased from 193 (norm 6-42) to 232, after 6 more weeks the g-GT was at 497! That was when my doctor and I unanimously decided to drop off Metformin again. As a side effect, we hoped that I would lose some weight, but unfortunately this has not been confirmed, on the contrary, I got after about 8 weeks more bingeing (I have an eating disorder) than before, so that 7 kg, which I had painstakingly removed had again been very fast on it. Nevertheless, I would recommend it to try, because there are many who have made good experiences with it.

I got metformin because I was diagnosed with PCO syndrome. Since I reject hormone contraception and thus the pill, I have just received metformin. In addition, birth control pills are poor in insulin resistance 🙂 I had side effects only in the first 2-3 weeks. In the first revenue I had diarrhea, flatulence and loss of appetite, which then quickly put back. I lose weight and only get a little flatulence when I eat something very fatty or carbohydrate. Although the metformin does not work at the moment, the effect should not be seen until the first 10-12 weeks. I’m curious then The therapy with mteformin is in Dt. off-lable, so I have to pay for everything myself. for 4 months that’s around 15 €, so cheaper than the pill, so I’m fine.

Since I’ve always had to deal with hardship, I can report that I have finally had regular bowel movements since I take the drug. However, I often have to deal with nausea shortly after the Einhhame and strengthened winds. Shortly after taking it, I am completely without any appetite and the thought of eating is unpleasant …. but that is good for my overweight. In the meantime I have become accustomed to this accompanying phenomenon. About the effectiveness, I can not report anything, because I was first adjusted to the drug. You can also partially positive side effects.
