    Tamoxifen for Breast cancer

since I take tamoxifen no metastases have occurred but the price is high. My life has changed completely. I can not live without medication against the bone pain at all, in addition there is defeat. Driverlessness (some days I would like to crawl under the blanket only) “In the last two and a half years I have gotten so thin that I am thinking of buying a wig. In addition, there are still dizziness and gang insecurity. When I look in the mirror, then I see that I am old. your rating: recommendation as a patient you can not recommend the drug but there are only two remedies for hormone-dependent carcinomas and they are quite different. I took femara 3 months and then discontinued because of intolerable side effects. So only tamoxifen remained.

Hello, maybe an encouraging report on taking tamoxifen after 9 months. Diagnosis and surgery January 2009, then radiation, no chemo. Gain weight (which is still limited) and sometimes a bit exhausted. Need reading glasses since then, more I can not report on side effects. Preventing osteoporosis I take Dekristol and if it is too much with the fatigue I’ll take a vitamin supplement, mostly Vitasprint and imagine a very strong …. I feel better, but I think it already looks a bit tamoxifen the body withdraws a lot. To all, who are not doing so well, head up and enjoy the beautiful hours. Kathrin

    Tamoxifen for Breast cancer

Hello, I took Tamoxifen 1 year and 2 months and it was a terrible time for me. I could not sleep one more night. Cramps in the legs, fluid retention in the body, 16 kilos of weight gain, hot flashes, rash all over my body, I was exhausted (could not lunch at work, my head still raise before tiredness and weakness) Could no longer climb stairs (had me at the railing pull up) When I’m gone 100 meters, I was tired and had nearly collapsed and good CONCLUSION IS mE AFTER THIS YEAR NOW MY GEBÄHRMUTTER MY EGGS STICKS aND MY tubal REMOVED AS THIS MEDIKAMT MY ABDOMINAL DESTROYED HAT. I was exhausted. By contrast, the six chemos were half as bad. I ran from one doctor to another this year NO PHYSICIAN COULD HELP ME. I always got the answer DA YOU BY YOU NEED THESE TABLETS 5 YEARS BUSINESS. There are other medicines that are even more harmful. NOW, I had a total operation and GOTTSEIDANK must take no more medicine. Besides the allergic reactions continue to exist. I take an allergy tablet every day now. Without these tablets, it is probably not even more. I’m mad at you. Tamoxifen is supposed to help against breast cancer, but the side effects were unbearable for me. They’ve broken more with me than they helped.

    Tamoxifen for Breast cancer

I think I have everything there is to side effects. Hizblasungen but the finest. I have gained about 25 kg, water accumulation spread over the whole body, extreme in the hands and legs. Shortness of breath is also nothing extraordinary not only under stress. Some of my joints hurt all day. At 49, I feel like an old woman. Even my eyes have changed / worsened and burn constantly. Sleep in one piece, again a whole night, would be great, but not more. Add to that fatigue and fatigue. The meantime extreme hair loss has improved a bit, but the hair is brittle and dull. Fragile are my fingernails. So I think I could go on. If I was not that stubborn, I’d have dropped that stuff long ago.

    Tamoxifen for Breast cancer

After breast-conserved surgery, chemo and radiation, I got zoladex and tamoxifen prescribed for 1 year from July 2008. In the first year I took between 5 and 8 kilos, sporty was almost nothing. Every staircase was a pain, I ran out of steam, housework takes twice as long and jogging (previously 3x weekly 1-1 1/2 hours) was unthinkable. Since taking I am struggling with sleep disorders (max. 3 hours sleep per night), fatigue and hot flashes. After finishing with Zoladex it was at least physically up again a bit. My athletic motivation is on the rise. Weight problems (especially stomach), deterioration of visual acuity, hair loss and brittle fingernails. Have a health practitioner visited and so at least the tiredness and hot flashes have improved. I’m really thinking of whether I still go through the remaining 2 years of tamoxifen intake!

After taking Tamoxifen for 15 months, I am currently ready to discontinue this drug on the spot. The hot flashes are limited, worse is the total exhaustion and fatigue. Can not go 50 steps without being completely out of breath, climbing stairs is an abomination !!! Because of diabetes melitus 2, I have been trying for some time to lose weight. Unfortunately this does not succeed. In addition, there is a buildup of water in the right ankle, occasionally bone and joint pain, which I get control of with Voltaren tablets. Since the second month of use, increased vaginal discharge has occurred. Since I have a lot to do in my job and my quality of life is also very important to me, I will try to have other tablets like Fareston or Evista prescribed.

I had breast cancer in 2009, which was due to hormones. When I have to take tamoxifen after the irradiation, I am soon tricked out. Had just wanted to beat me, was from minute to the other minute something of strange, I had not recognized me again .First cheered and I wanted to tear out trees, in the näxten minute I would have jumped out of the window. My Physiotherapheut says I’m manic, that’s me too. Hot flashes of tamoxifen in the beginning were very strong, but then significantly less. Bones u. Joint pain was bearable, I could with gymnastics, Nordic walking, swimming thermal bath, warm showers, a lot of exercise, well he wear. After taking Femara, the complaints were much stronger, in addition to thinner hair, inflammation of the mouth have increased, dry eyes. Hot flashes have gotten better, but now I’m tired faster after physical work. My bones-u. Joint pain is especially severe during rest and nocturnal awakenings. At the joint approaches I have pressure pain, can not wring out very well wipes, can not clean well, had a lumbar spine surgery after herniated disc 4 years ago. Will that get better after stopping taking Femara? What else can I do to make it more bearable except taking Diclofenac 75, which will help me well but not so often? I have to last another two years.

after chemo + irradiation since 2004 tamoxifen. No weight gain but skin dryness on the body, hair growing like weeds. (were never so beautiful.) However, cough since taking, fatigue, skin aging, bone pain especially in the hands and shoulders, bladder weakness (doctor says: through the hormone withdrawal). Otherwise, no further incidents, so the medi can recommend. I’m done with it soon and would do it again. All follow-up examinations were great, wish all concerned the same ……

    Tamoxifen for Breast cancer

Hello, I had breast cancer 3 years ago in the initial stage in the left breast. Luckily, I did not need chemo or radiation, but I was operated on. My left breast was completely cleared and rebuilt with an implant which also took a bit of muscle out of my back. Since 3 years I take the drug Tamoxifen where I have to fight with some real. I have gained weight through healthy Apettit 🙂 the stuff is really hungry …. Hot flash, I’m a lot tired and sometimes really pretty irritated. My rule is very irregular. But I comfort myself with the fact that I have to endure it only 2 years and my best friend is always there for me …. no matter how I look …. no matter how I am on it. I hope I could give you all a little courage. My favorite quote: DO NOT DREAM YOUR LIFE LIFE YOUR DREAM!

Side effects: Irritability; Fatigue; Hot flashes
