    Sumatriptan for Cluster headache; Migraine

I (w, 22) have these really strong attacks for about 3 years, ie pain only around the eye and right side of the face. Sumatriptan got 100mg for the first time and it helped pretty well at first without any side effects. However, at that time I additionally got ASA acute / 500 i.v and was pain free for 1 year. In the following year, I had such attacks again but could be well restrained with Sumatriptan. This year I have 10 days of pain and suddenly I have experienced some side effects such as drowsiness, fatigue and nausea, so my day was over. Therefore, I switched to Rizatriptan Orodispersible 10mg or Naratriptan 2.5mg (over-the-counter), as I no longer feel cut off. The effect occurs in my opinion in the latter two earlier than Sumatriptan after only about 30 minutes show effect. I also got Perfalgan + Caffeine i.v this time. However, I advise to ASS i.v harm does not do it except those who are not allowed to take blood thinners and it helps in addition and the tremendous i.v therefore, as it acts faster than oral.

    Sumatriptan for Migraine

The first and only medication that really helps, sometimes after half an hour and sometimes after one hour. If the headache is not over yet, I’ll take Ibuprofen 400, which is rare. The side effects are sometimes, urinate frequently, sensitive to warm water, it feels really hot. Sometimes total fatigue, body aches and sometimes no side effects at all. Nevertheless, I like to accept that, because the migraine is otherwise unbearable, but you have to take the tablets right at the first sign. Always carry the tablets with you, always have 1 or 2 tablets in all my pockets.

    Sumatriptan for A headache; Migraine

Because of previous and recurrent strong headaches, type migraine, right side – the HA gave me Sumatriptan. The headache somehow actually stopped, but I was not pain free – but stunned. Other pains suddenly became noticeable on various parts of the body. Have Sumatriptan set aside and forget what the connections were. Since the severe headaches recur, I had the applied pack again applied. The headaches were also eliminated this time, but I had since increased stomach problems and body aches. After the cause was not so easy to determine; The doctor has evaluated blood laboratory values, and it has been found that the body constantly fights any inflammation and therefore I became increasingly tired and had muscle pain. I had to sell Sumatriptan.

    Sumatriptan for Migraine

Against the headache and the aura, the drug has helped very well, but the side effects are so strong that I will not take it again. An infinite tiredness was the result and visual disturbances, which are not fully subsided 2 days later. Pretty bad thing. In addition, there was hypertension and a parallel languor. I can only advise against it in view of the strong side effects.

    Sumatriptan for Migraine

I took this medicine for the first time against migraine and was completely switched off..Atemnot, numbness of the arms and legs, nausea, dizziness, visual disturbances, cold sweat which lasts more than 2 hours and longer still the slackness..For me that is definitely not More in question because then the migraine is better than going through something like that again!

    Sumatriptan for Migraine

Sumatriptan I tolerated in the beginning super, was also glad to have finally found a drug for migraine. Unfortunately I got a rash on the whole body. It took months to find out that the rash came from sumatriptan. He touched his leg, later his stomach, his back, his arms, almost everything but his face, hands and feet. Luckily, the rash did not itch and then, after dropping the sumatriptan, it subsided completely after a few weeks. I was then prescribed by the doctor Maxalt Rizatriptan). This works just as well against migraine, but without rash, so far. The unpleasant side effect here is that it sometimes has the effect of a sleeping pill. Did they take in between during work, then the outside world came to me as if slowed down by a cotton ball, as if everything moves more slowly. Super fatigue, so I can hardly stop the eyes let alone focus properly on the work. when I am at home and take Rizatriptan, then I sleep for at least an hour and a half or more. After taking Mayalt, I have a pretty bad taste the next morning and direct coating on the tongue.

    Sumatriptan for Migraine

I took the drug at the first signs of migraine. After about a quarter of an hour, the pain was gone. After half an hour for the first time, tightness and pain in the throat occurred. In addition, drowsiness and drowsiness, have only sounded. Driving a car or working would not have been possible anymore. In the night, after about 5 hours, palpitations, sweats, chest pain, nausea, inner agitation, dizziness, numbness and pain in the left arm occurred. My blood pressure was 170/110 mmHg and my heart rate was 168. I was about to call the ambulance. The morning after, my blood pressure was still around 130/100 mmHg. I am a nurse by profession and know me accordingly, but I really did not find these side effects funny. Although this drug has helped with the migraine pain, I would never take it again. Especially not after I read the leaflet. Heart attack, stroke … a miracle that this drug is even allowed!

    Sumatriptan for Migraine

I have had migraines for 30 years. When I took the pill yet, it started exactly one week before the onset and lasted for two weeks. The rest of the month I recovered from the seizure. However, as the doctors found the pill in connection with migraine questionable, I discontinued it at the age of 34. The pain came now irregularly about 15 to 20 days in the month. Until then I had pain suppositories which put me completely paralyzed. Then suddenly there was the miracle drug Sumatriptan.Ich get the ataxes more quickly under control, but push them in principle only weiter.Aber the days of lying in the darkened room and the constant handing omitted. Preventative beta-blockers were given twice at intervals of a few years, but did not help. Life is very limited with constant migraine pain. Private problems arose, mood swings, depression. The fluktin drug really helped me in the 90’s with no side effects. But as it is very revocable as a drug, I put it off when I felt better. When I did not feel well again in 2006, I got citalopram which was supposed to increase the self-production of serotonin. They did that too. But the migraine got worse and worse and the sumatriptan tablets did not help anymore. I had constant pains without end. Very rarely a pain-free day. Erts when I felt so bad that I was no longer able to get the doctor’s prescription from the doctor and thus could not take the Citaloprampillen ceased the permanent headache abruptly. I had three months of severe withdrawal symptoms from the medication. Raging pain in the legs, tremors, agitation. I would never take it again. But since my migraine still has not improved, I started therapy with topiramate 63 days ago. After taking the first pill (25 mg in the evening), I immediately had six pain-free days. Then again six days in a row migraine. Then again six days no.So in about it remained. Initial side effects such as dizziness, nausea, shaking after taking disappeared after two weeks. However, I have speech disorders, word-finding difficulties, am incredibly forgetful, impotent, very quickly exhausted, can not concentrate and I get sick at the slightest effort and I have to sit down. Moreover, I am tired than usual, irritated and howl now only. My feelings and my perception has changed. I start to mourn things that were long forgotten, have the feeling that I am spooking, getting into something and not coming. I will sell the topiramate. The latest idea is that I have a lactose intolerance (has never come on it before) as the migraine amplifies when my diet more sum more lactose-containing foods add up. (You should definitely check, can be cause for many!) Wish me luck! oh yes, weight loss under topiramate was about 3 kilos, but now I’m really appetite again)

    Sumatriptan for Migraine

Sumatriptan, when taken early, works very well and also fast. With me always the same side effects occur. Cold sweat on the skin, extreme thirst, bone or muscle pain, tiredness, low resilience. Otherwise, I tolerate the drug well and do not need any drops of stomach.

    Sumatriptan for Migraine

For 26 years I have migraine, by Topamax it has become better, the tingling I have (according to the doctor) by potassium effervescent tablets daily get a handle – you must not take magnesium. Libido loss unfortunately with me, weight loss, forgetfulness and fatigue. I am thinking about dropping Topamax after 2 years, but I am afraid that the 10-12 seizures that I have during the month will rise again – I used to have them almost daily. I am ausherapiert – migraine clinic Koenigstein, migraine eating out, pain ambulance Dusseldorf, tens of acupuncture, pain therapists, oxygen, Botox therapy, etc. Important is exercise! Who can not walk, at least walking or walking! Endurance is best! Helps me – even if it was difficult in the beginning, Nordic walking.
