    Mirena for Menstrual complaints

I am glad that I am not the only one. When I was used about 2 years ago, the Mirena, I had a huge pleasure with it. I started a new job, had a new husband and my FA thought this contraceptive fits exactly in your new life! Great! , I thought so. I have to say that five years ago I had tried various hormone supplements for contraception (various pills, nuvaring, …) as well as to alleviate my menstrual problems (severe, very painful menstrual period). The same side effects always occurred. And my FA always told me that I’m imagining them all. So I was glad when it said that the hormone spiral only releases hormones locally and the rest of the body is not burdened. I was well prepared with vaginal tablets to soften the cervix. The insertion itself hurt me terribly. It was a strong pain inside that caused nausea – indefinable. For two days I had a dull ache. The spotting bleed quickly and meanwhile I had no mens left. Every day I needed a bag of magnesium, otherwise I had abdominal cramps. Well – it was nice, you did not have to worry about his prevention and the absence of the mens was a nice side effect. The abdominal cramps could be handled very well with magnesium. My side effects occurred slowly. I am always very tired, choppy and moody. In addition, I got back pain, which was accompanied by constant headache. The headache in turn triggered dizziness, visual and concentration disorders. Loss of desire of 120% – I would like that my friend only hugs me and if he comes too close to me, I immediately go goose bumps and feel tense. Terrible, is not it ?! Oh well. I did not associate all of these symptoms with Mirena. Why? Local hormones do not do anything. I had my entire body checked, seeking advice from alternative medicine practitioners, TCM practitioners and physiotherapists. Finally, everyone was at the end of their knowledge. I was healthy, but felt terrible. As if I would miss my life. The last few days everything was much worse than usual – at some point, my friend has expressed the suspicion that he suspected these symptoms behind Mirena. I was dumbfounded, I did not want to believe it. But then I googled and found hundreds of testimonials. Reports from women who have had a similar experience as me. Our decision was quickly fixed – appointment at the FA and out with the killer thing out of my body. Yesterday I had the appointment and when I made my decision, I first had to hear that I would probably suffer from depression. The spiral probably does not have much to do with my condition. I did not give up and now she is out. Short, severe pain – accompanied by nausea. Everything is different today. I’m crazy, just eat chocolate and do not know where I’m missing. Maybe already Hormonentzug? I wish and expect that the next months will be better for me and that I will find my way back to myself. Never again do I leave foreign hormones in my body. That’s for sure. My intention is not to maul Mirena here. No. I know women who are doing well and who are comfortable with her. That’s a good thing – but everyone has to find their own way in this area.

Mirena for Pain (joint); A headache

I’m sooo mad !! This beforehand … Have for 7 months, the Mirena spiral (due to heavy bleeding, iron deficiency). Have hardly any bleeding – but that is the only thing that works. Otherwise I have the following symptoms for three months: – from one day to the other daily joint pain in the fingers – again headaches – strong susceptibility to tension (especially neck area) – permanently cold hands – tiredness – sensitive breasts – 6 kg increased in 6 months ( despite exercise and normal food). Certainly a lot of – water retention in the legs and associated with something – stronger varicose veins I was in the last three months: – once with the gynecologist (The spiral is actually very well tolerated, you are probably exhausted., Working too much, right?) – twice with different family doctors with twice blood findings at intervals of one month: no gout, no rheumatism. Probably finger arthritis, because you can unfortunately do nothing, except ointment lubricate (I was horrified !!! And I was afraid, how to continue!) – 8 times with the massage á 70 euros for the persistent neck pain – and have hours of my life for the independent search on the various complaints spentbecause apparently no doctor can think combined !! That’s just crazy! Since a few days, I suspect and at least since reading the other stories of suffering, I’m sure (ALL, completely SAFE) where all this comes from this Mirena spiral! And I wonder too: how can such a thing be allowed !! Have the gynecologist already spoken to tape, that I want to have an appointment immediately. Am SOOOO SAUER on this WOMAN !!! (Incidentally, I paid 500 euros for the insert Please pay cash and without invoice!). – I will print the testimonials and give them to the FAREWELL. I’m glad if the thing is out and with the heavy bleeding I’m getting better after this horrible experience also better.

    Mirena for Aggressiveness

My 1st Mirena I have after the birth of my son lay and was synonymous with no problems with her. There were no difficulties when inserting and not in the entire gestation period, I felt positive that there was hardly any bleeding and if , then the matter was done in 3 days. The 2nd I left, without questioning, because I have them well tolerated, after the birth of my daughter insert. Puh-the insertion was painful and for the rest of the day I had a lot of pain (like putting an umbrella in my stomach) in my stomach and back, I could barely stand up, let alone walk. With a slight headache It started and spread to irritability, constant fatigue, sexual listlessness, but also listless and impulsive in everyday life, greater appetite aus.Ich got not only hair loss but also gray hair. About 1.5 years ago, I have the Mirena removed, meanwhile, I am in psychological treatment and can also equal to the divorce process. I am not only 20 kg heavier, but also in essence very changed; I have always been a positive and happy person. I can only guess that the choice of contraceptives should be carefully considered!

    Mirena for Cycle disorder; Bleeding

Have now been 6 months, the Mirena. So far every day lubricating bleeding. Cramping, nausea, dizziness, breast tenderness, night sweats and extreme fatigue. This was followed by a 4 cm cyst and three months’ intake of chlormadinone 2mg fem. This made it better. Now I have a bacterial infection with an antibiotic and then with lactofem to help restore ph in the vagina. Against the spotting I take parallel desogestrel first for a month. What can I say. If it does not get better now, I’ll let the spiral go.

Hello, I’m a real stone from the heart, after I read here from the many testimonials and mine are so very similar! Pro for Mirena is the lack of menstruation and the elimination of troublesome pill intake. Unfortunately, the list of the Contra is much longer. Massive hair loss, fast-drying hair, pimples, irritability, restlessness, tachycardia, digestive problems and the worst of all the enormous weight gain (18kg). My breasts are swollen from 70c to 85d and always with tense pains like milk after breastfeeding. But not only the breasts are like the end of the pregnancy and my stomach now looks like I’m 9 months pregnant. I eat very healthy, do sports but the weight is not significantly reduce. My baby bump is stuck. In the summer I was often asked when it was so far (birth). That made me so insecure that I let myself be tested for a brotherhood. My friend has since left me he was tired of my eternal irritation. Then I must mention here that I am only tired, which I attributed to my sleep disorders, for which I could find no sustainable explanation. I’ve always had the suspicion that it might be related to the spiral, but all the physicians I interviewed said it was always negative. On the contrary, I always heard the opposite, the spiral has a positive effect on the skin, hair and the aging process of a woman. On Friday I have the appointment and I will free myself from Mirena lasting! I wish I had found this site here rather nice, then I would have spared a lot of suffering. I was able to move my new partner to a vasectomy in August. Now only sperm light is available and I can finally get rid of this monster! Never again!

I am stunned by what I read here and in other forums and groups. 4 years ago, I had the MIRENA placed after swallowing the pill daily for years. I am 41 years old and my gynecologist recommended the spiral and praised her in the highest tones. She would be well tolerated by all and all her patients would be satisfied. On my note, it would also be hormones, she reassured me, the MIRENA would deliver the hormones only locally. The spiral was laid, no possible side effects were given to me on the way, a leaflet I was certainly not handed. Today I know how naive I was. On holiday 2 months ago, I got to know a young woman and we came to the subject of MIRENA, why can not I say exactly today, but on arrival at home, I researched the Internet on this topic. It is unbelievable what I read all about complaints under the MIRENA. – premature menopausal symptoms – hot flashes / sweating – water retention – circulatory problems – dizziness – hair loss – sleep disorders – night sweats – mood swings – depressive episodes – irritability – fatigue / fatigue – weight gain – joint pain – muscle tension – abdominal pain – back pain – digestive problems – vaginal infections – blemishes – Facial hair – dry eyes Almost everything I read has been coming to me in the past 4 years, and I have not had the slightest idea that it might be due to the spiral. I have been walking from doctor to doctor for months, I doubt it myself, last year I have a rectocele removed from the rectum because I can not stand the abdominal and back pain, with the result: digestion works better now, abdominal and back pain remained. Previously unfit for work and taking antidepressants and sleeping pills for weeks due to these ongoing problems. Then I get vaccinated with gynatren last year for 97, – €, because I suffer again and again of vaginal infections and thus my antibodies should be strengthened, with the result: I treat myself with vaginal pills and ointment now, because I’m stupid happen to run to the doctor again and again. Then the annual check-up at the gynecologist, all right, spiral is perfect, my mentioned problems of sweating, sleep problems, mood swings, night sweats and pain all over the body can also indicate a defect and I would like to ask my doctor’s blood to be examined. Result: thyroid, iron, vitamin D, B12, folic acid everything in the green range and 18, – € for the lab paid as non-cash benefit. Then, five weeks ago, I had arthroscopy on my right shoulder to remove an inflamed bursa. Previously, I had been in pain for about 2 years, had been a permanent guest at physiotherapy to relieve muscle tension, had taken painkillers to work, and to sleep at night, I went to the neurosurgeon, who confirmed that my cervical spine was gone intact, but age appropriate and no surgery would be necessary, fortunately. I’ve been to the rheumatologist, with the result: all right, no rheumatism. Today’s current condition: bursa is out, proliferation on the biceps has been removed, everything went well, but … I still have painful movement restrictions. Then I have massive hair loss that has even struck my hairdresser now, I have gained 10 kg in 4 years, I get pain in the joints at night, I sweat as if I was in menopause, I am moody and irritable and have Therefore I have more and more stress with my husband, I am tired and beaten during the day, but can not sleep at night, I have a bloated face in the morning, in the evening swollen fingers and water retention above the ankles, I have facial hair growth, that I shave myself daily like a man, I have dry eyes and treat them with eye drops and I have blurred vision, have had me to do a progressive lens, which also does not really help me and the optician said that I was still pretty young for a lens with Nahverstärkung. The fact is that I let the spiral go and I hope, hope, hope that I will eventually go better and I find a suitable for me hormone-free contraceptive method. I found a Swiss company on the internet selling a cycle computer called Daysy. The information sounds pretty promising, but I’m pretty undecided as to whether it makes sense at my age just before menopause.

Abdomen – abdominal pain especially during ovulation, (worse than at the mens) different strength / days of bleeding during mens, listlessness, fatigue, bladder infections, permanent fungal infections, headache migraine, blemished skin / greasy hair, all started very slowly. The good thing is hardly gaining weight in contrast to my old pill, but venous problems in the legs

I’m not sure why I’m always so bad. Bad skin, extreme hair loss, migraines, depression, tinnitus, sudden hearing loss, bad mood, extreme fatigue, always total fatigue, difficulty concentrating, loss of libido etc. etc. Causes lie in the hormonal spiral Mirena. Have meanwhile 1 copper spiral and 2 hormone spirals behind me, with the 2.Hormonspirale removed in the next few weeks. It’s really time to get rid of this impossible thing the gynecologists are making their big money on. Bad advice in gynecologists regarding the very bad side effects. Never again Mirena !!!

Hello … my first HS I have 3 years well tolerated. Then it started so bad with breast tensions that I was super sensitive and could not even push my kiddies anymore. I then had her out in the summer of 2004 and tried half a year with a contraceptive pill. Unfortunately, I did not tolerate that, so I let my HS use again in December 2004. Had total pain … even days later. In the first time it was then quite well … until I realized after almost 2 years that I was just tired, broken, etc. I then tried to regain control of vitamins. It gradually came more and more: hypothyroidism, thyroid surgery, tinnitus, dizziness, restlessness, sadness, neck complaints, sinus surgery, depression, aggressiveness, constant bleeding, moodiness, abdominal pain … etc. Then I ran from doctor to doctor and was allowed to listen to the most amazing things 🙁 Then my L-Thyrorin had suspected that it was too high doses, but it was not because my lust for life was now almost at the zero point. Since yesterday the Mirena is out and I hope that it will be better now.

Never again Mirena !! When, after about 4.5 years, I happened to bump into Mirena more or less by chance on the various forums and posts about Mirena, it struck me like scales from my eyes !! I made an appointment directly with my FA and the culprit was drawn just over a week ago. Since then, the following has changed in my life (Thank God very quickly or immediately and hopefully permanently): 1. Constant urination — I had pushed on my two births, thought: great, half incontinent with late 30 — after Pull: OFF !! 2. the feeling of being at least 90 years old, if still alive: WAY !!! 3. Lack of energy, felt burn-out, everything too much, everything exhausting — I had pushed on overwork because of children / work, although I was always aware that my work is actually to create or should be — WAY! ! 4. super-dry skin on the face and on the head: is beautiful to have my soft skin given back … wonderful !! 5. foul-smelling discharge, always having the feeling that I stink and have to take a shower: OFF !! 6. increased hair growth (especially on the chin and on the legs) — I can not judge yet. 7. Aggressiveness, the non-acceptance of physical closeness, often zero in people and sociability (to go to kindergarten alone to pick up my daughter cost me every time a huge overcoming): OFF !! 8. I also always had a funny feeling in the mouth … very strange + disgusting … also feels much better, but I can not yet 100% on the Mirena push … 9. My stomach !! My waist !! I went to FA last summer because I was 100% sure I was pregnant … but I was not. I had almost constantly (at least emotionally) a belly like in the 4./5. Month. — PATH!! 10. Constant diarrhea — not yet resolved, but I also have hope here :-)) 11. Deteriorated vision because of too dry eyes — not yet resolved: – ((Mannoman, I feel like new born and I’m especially mad at me, because I’ve done it without batting an eyelash, I think my side effects appeared after about 2 years, before it was okay It’s all the more appreciated that it makes you happy again after such tiring and bad times when you do not even know what’s going on with you, like many of you, I ran to the doctor because I did too thought I was sick for sure but thank goodness not the case !! I can only say: NEVER AGAIN HAPPY HORMONE FOR ME !!!

Immediately after insertion: bleeding and light abdominal jokes for about six weeks. In the first half year: sweats and hot flashes, as well as severe hair loss, as well as extreme tiredness to exhaustion and vertigo attacks. My FA denied (quite irritated) any connection with the Mirena! The internal medical examination showed that I’m completely healthy organically! After six months of lying time: first an ovarian cyst of 4cm, then at the next check two months later an ovarian cyst of 8cm (!). Both cysts regressed under estrogen treatment. Since then, the rule is only very irregular as a slight spotting. I then changed the FA, which very probably considers a connection possible. He nevertheless advised me to wait a bit while pulling the spiral. Have since the onset of Mirena until now 8 kg increased (despite consistent diet and exercise). Now that after two years of lying still severe anxiety came to it, my partner has decided to sterilization. I hope that after the removal of Mirena, I will soon become the old, well-balanced and cheerful woman I used to be!

until 4 months ago I was really satisfied. Then gradually symptoms: extreme breast tenderness, breast enlargement, itching all over. In the last 4 weeks on about 15 days violent migraine. Mostly at night tachycardia, tingling in the whole body, panic attacks with dread. This causes extreme sleep problems. Total tiredness during the day but also inner restlessness. Investigations with my family doctor and neurologist without findings. According to the statement, I am very healthy.

The first time I still thought that happens over time, the body just needs his time to get used to the unfamiliar hormones. But I can not (and do not want to) think about the symptoms because they can not – they are too massive for that. Have had yesterday night with unlikely nausea, sleep bad at night, must go out often (it grumbles in the stomach, often diarrhea) – I do not know that, I am known for my solid and deep sleep and had a firm for my intestinal activity rhythm. Furthermore, I can hardly look at myself for several weeks in the mirror – bloated, ablafft, tired. I could spend the whole day in bed. Do not eat any other than before, walk – no chance to hold my weight; Let alone reduce. And that, although he spoke really well on change conversion, in the evening only fruit, etc. Was not a problem for me. Furthermore, I not only feel sexual disgust, but even aversion to my beloved work. Must think and fight every morning, so I really get up and go. I’m moody like a teenager and so emotional that I cry for every bit of it. Yesterday I decided to have my spiral removed.

After 4 wanted pregnancies I had the Mirena Spiral inserted. From head free for the love !!! In 9 months 6 Kg., Very severe depression and anxiety, loss of libido, vaginal dryness, constant fungal infections, listlessness, mood swings, tiredness. That’s what I think of so spontaneously. When I was sitting at the Gyn., The helper said that I did not have to read through everything: everything was scare. Therefore, I did not know the side effects before. After 9 months I went to Gyn., And told him about my complaints (still not knowing that they came from the spiral)! He recommended to remove the Mirena immediately and used a copper spiral for me. The pull of the Mirena I did not feel. The setting was very uncomfortable. That was yesterday, in four weeks I have an appointment at gyn. and I’ll tell him how I feel now. One thing is certain: I will never use hormones again! Of course, not everyone is like me, my friend eg. tolerates the Mirena very well. (or she does not admit it) 😉 I would not recommend her. And to easily test if you can handle it, it is too expensive. (300 €)

I had the third Mirena spiral inserted in June 2010, as it was recommended to me by my doctor so. The onset was bearable, a little stomachache, little spotting. After a few weeks I was physically so bad that I googled my complaints. I came across this forum and I got a light on. So decided to the doctor with the desire to remove the spiral again. With my request, I fell on deaf ears, the Mirena was well tolerated, my complaints came from private stress and my physical work. The doctor talked me into the spiral (cost so much, I would have a bad conscience to you.) But if I really wanted it then I should come back. Okay, I thought, hasty decisions may not be good. By now it has become March 2011 and my various complaints have not improved. I count on what bothers me, what I feel worst first: Constant tiredness and listlessness (every activity is a torment, I have to get myself up to everything), constant exhaustion, almost every day tension or pain in the chest (lately with pain up to under the armpits), mild nausea, loss of libido, often headache, a dripping nose all year round (allergy tests were negative), pain in the groin with pulling up to the legs (heavy legs), numb hands, dry skin. Yesterday I was back at the doctor and I have the Mirena removed, she tried not even to persuade me again. By the way, everywhere you will find in this practice Mirena advertising, In the waiting room various brochures, in the hall, in the treatment room. A rogue of evil thinks …. Now I’m curious how I’m going in the next few weeks, I hope the veil of fatigue and pain is lifting!

I have been carrying the Mirenaspirale for a year. Unfortunately, I had to say that I suffer from strong Mirza since wearing the Mirena. I have been permanently bloated for 3 months, also in the fasted state. I have my stomach and intestines mirrored and my blood values examined …. result all right. I also do not suffer from a food allergy. To be permanently bloated, cramps in the abdomen and pimples on shoulders, impure skin on the face (never had impure skin previously increased migraine, and slight hair loss.) I also increased hunger and gained some weight, 2 -3 kilos I am always tired by the permanent bloated and totally uncomfortable 2 days ago I have the Mirena removed (as well as my girlfriend, sister and two colleagues, all of which had strong side effects) and hope for a speedy recovery of my hormone balance Do not recommend Mirena.

Hello, I’m 29 years old and have a 10 year old son. Shortly after birth, a copper spiral was used, which also slipped and was quickly removed. Then I got the Mirena spiral and believe me, the last few years have been the horror. Just recently I have looked at the leaflet online and reviews from other women. I’m horrified what the pharmaceutical industry is doing with us women. I have to say, the more disciples you are, the more the body may endure certain things. Over time, the following side effects gradually came to pass: headache, pelvic pain, aggressiveness, sexual aversion and severe depression, as well as suicidal thoughts and extreme loss of memory. For 3 years I run from doctor to doctor and partly believed that I soon completely lose my mind. Now I am probably in a phase of development in my life where changes are taking place and I am trying to find causes for all these health restrictions. I was looking for a new gynecologist (who is really gorgeous) and I had an almost one-hour talk with her, telling me that there are these side effects and many women are also responding to the mirena. Since yesterday the Mirena is out and I’m curious what will change in the next time in my body. I definitely advise against the Mirena that these insidious side effects are enormous.

The side effects of Mirena come slowly. Usually after 2 years begins the negative effect of the spiral. Tiredness, unfocused, dizziness, nausea, weakness, insomnia, joint and muscle aches, masculine hairiness, itching, odor sensitivity, breast tenderness, altered body odor, muscle atrophy, head and back pain, water retention in hands and feet, brittle fingernails, panic attacks, muscle twitching. Mirena turns healthy women into sick women. In my view, the Mirena is not recommended ..
