Fatigue effect of Lithium

I’ve been taking lithium for 3 days, as I’ve got a lot of depression and venlafaxine is not enough, but so far it’s the antidepressant, which has helped me the best so far. I have a strong nausea since the first evening. It starts about 1/2 to 1 hour after ingestion, but gets better during the day. Have a huge u. constant thirst and during the day I feel a little dizzy and I am also very tired u. tired. The Venlafaxin I take for 1 year and I’m fine so except a dry mouth, I did not notice.

Diagnosis: (severe) depression, anxiety and panic attacks 1st trial: Sertraline. At first massive anxiety increase. Ineffective against depression. Side effects: anxiety, agitation, depersonalization / derealization, loss of libido, cocaine pain. Abandoned after a short time. 2nd trial: venlaflaxin. Very effective against panic attacks. Ineffective against depression. Side effects: same as with sertraline. Ingestion to date (225mg / day) 3. Simultaneous treatment with Lyrica. Very effective against internal states of tension, general anxiety and agitation. No influence on the depression. Side effects: fatigue, hunger (weight gain) and slight increase in depressive inertia. 4. Following treatment with quetiapine (Seroquel). Something calming, but no effect on depression or anxiety disorder. Side effects: Massive hunger attacks and severe tiredness. After about 8 weeks again discontinued. 5. Timely treatment with lithium. Strong antisuizidal, otherwise no influence. Side effects: tremor, weight gain and acne. Taking until today. 6. On top of that, Bupoprion (Etronil). Initially highly effective against depression. After a few weeks of action disappeared. No effect on anxiety disorder. Side effects: tremor, dry mouth and sleep disorders. Unplanned treatment success against nicotine addiction. 7. On the whole cocktail again on top: Lamotrigine. Strong effect against depression. No effect on anxiety disorders. Side effects: none. 8. For 7 days try with Methylphenidad (Ritalin). No effect, various side effects. 9. Discontinuation of Lyrica and Wellbutrin without visible consequences. 10th attempt with Nortrilen. Drug very effective against depression. Side effect: Dry mouth, hunger, sleep problems and high blood pressure. Libido can not be assessed due to concomitant use of venlaflaxin. Right now I do not care about the side effects of Nortrilen. After 2 years and various attempts, the first antidepressant, which is really antidepressant. After 2 years of immeasurable suffering, I am finally on the way to recovery. For a long time I hesitated to take an old antidepressant. With all my medicine cocktail, I simply lacked the belief that something could actually work. However, I can highly recommend it for resistance to therapy today. However, the whole chemistry does not replace psychotherapy, which is necessary for longer-term recovery. Some years ago, I could not imagine why anyone could commit suicide. I was taught in a painful way a better one. Hold on, even if it does not look like it at all. It’s actually over.

Lithium is well-effective in manic-depressive vases. Side effects are not always pleasant. I often felt very tired all day, always had very strong appetite and strong thirst, in general I was very dull and limited in perception

Due to poor values of the kidney, in this case predominantly the value of uric acid, after years of treatment with lithium and the antidepressant citalopram, the combination of seroquel and lamotrigine was changed over. This is intended to prevent further deterioration of kidney values. When slimming Lithcium and simultaneously building up the new preparations, there were strong side effects: Immediately one hour after ingestion it comes to disturbances of movement during walking (staggering), uncontrolled pronunciation and sentence formation and Flash features. It is absolutely not advisable to drive. As long-term side effects, there is a strong overhang of the medication in the next day, when the Saroquel was taken too late in the evening (22:30). Drowsiness, tiredness, listlessness, dizziness, and a feeling of being beside yourself, came on the following day until the late afternoon. If the time window is moved forward to an hour, these side effects are much better the following day. However, an improvement in the concentration (mostly long-term memory), drive and all the little things that one loses in the depression becomes positive. The opportunity to return to the work process and its social environment increases significantly. What remains is the question of side effects on the body organs in the long-term test.
