At a daily dose of 20mg the symptoms disappeared after 2 weeks. However, an increase in concentration deficiency, forgetfulness and constipation was the negative side of the side effect. In addition, insensitive, listless and tired. After snaking I fell into a kind of mania – the desire to buy -. In the meantime after 2 months everything under control again.

    Paroxetine for Social phobia; Depression

In hindsight, the effect was actually not as bad as I felt while taking it. I was heavily dazed, everything that happened around me was secondary, I was just happy about the silence, the thoughts gone away and the feelings no longer perceptible. This scared me a little while taking it and made me a lot harder in my everyday life. Duration of administration: 5 weeks Dosage: 1-0-0 (40mg) Side effects: Insomnia, tachycardia, nosebleeds and the unique, strange feeling of not being able to reach orgasm. I could scrape off as I wanted. : D

    Paroxetine for Depression

I strongly advise against SSRI / SSNRI antidepressants because of my own experience! It is possible that there are SERIOUS DAMAGES that greatly reduce the quality of life (PSSD). What the pharmaceutical industry has done to me and many others with this drug is hard to put into words. I have almost no emotions left, feel no longer really alive, have become almost completely impotent. Taking SSRI / SSNRI has destroyed my life. I am no longer the one I used to be and have been for 10 years now. On the advice of my doctor, I started taking SSRIs in 2007 because of moderate depression. First sertraline, then paroxetine and finally venlafaxine. I would never have expected that it would go through this poison much, much worse – and permanently! Unfortunately, I am far from the only one who is so. There are thousands of people suffering from PSSD. And yet it is not recognized by the pharmaceutical industry but simply kept secret. Even most doctors who prescribe these drugs do not know the catastrophic consequences. It’s a scandal! The permanent damage is often referred to as PSSD, with the core symptoms being sexual problems. However, many sufferers still suffer further damage, such as Anhedonia, lack of emotion and dizziness (zombie feeling). It is simply a crime that the pharmaceutical industry and treating physicians have done to me and other people affected by these drugs. Anyone who has such permanent problems with SSRI / SSNRI should report it to the Federal Institute for Drugs and Medical Devices. In addition, it is possible to contact the association PSSD Help Germany e.V.

Paroxetine really helped me a lot with my fears that I would take it at any time, should it ever get that bad. However, during the treatment I completely lost the interest in sexuality and was no longer able to reach orgasm. In addition, I became more and more emotionless. I was never really sad but never really happy. Now I stopped paroxetine completely 3 weeks ago, since the complaints started properly. On the one hand, I felt reborn, no longer afraid, full of joie de vivre, and the sexual dysfunctions were gone. However, for two weeks at a time I was sick and dizzy. Well, after 3 weeks it has already gotten a little better, but I still have twitching, dizziness and ants running in the limbs.

    Paroxetine for Depression

I was prescribed paroxetine (20mg) for the second time because of anxiety and depression. In the beginning an initial deterioration occurred. I could not leave the house for about a week, could not eat anything, had anxiety attacks, was very whiny, could not sleep, at night I crunched my teeth so badly that my whole jaw ached, I had nightmares and in the morning I had to go twice to hand over. However, knowing that these side effects would go away again, I remained adamant and continued to take the medicine. After about 2-3 weeks there was a significant improvement. I was suddenly able to lead a normal life, leave the house and even had the strength to change some basic things in my life (relationship, job). After half a year of taking it, however, I started to gain a lot of weight (10 kg in 5 months), despite unchanged eating habits. In addition, I have been suffering from severe constipation ever since and need to take laxatives weekly to be reasonably comfortable. Furthermore, especially at the beginning of the treatment feeling cold, tiredness and loss of libido occurred. Getting an orgasm has also become very heavy since taking it. Conclusion: Paroxetine is a very potent remedy and especially indicated for severe anxiety disorders. The side effects are enormous in many people (also in comparison to other antidepressants). To come from the deepest, I can only recommend it to everyone. However, if you only have depression, without fears, I would definitely use other medicines (such as Citalopram or Cipralex) that have fewer side effects.
