    Doxepin for Bipolar disorder; Depression

In hospitalization with severe depression in bipolar disorder, doxepin and lamotrigine were crept in. There were no side effects with lamotrigine. However, I have gained almost 9 kg of Doxepin, and I also suffered from dry mouth. In the meantime, I (according to doctor) also micturition (bladder emptying disorder) and thus had a serious bladder infection. Unfortunately I continued to have so-called mixed and / or rapid cycling phases, so I got Seroquel Prolong. I take it from now on. 600 mg. It works against me especially against my massive irritability. Unfortunately, I suddenly have problems with low blood pressure, dizziness and nausea when suddenly getting up. In the meantime, however, this has become much better!

    Doxepin for Dizziness

Hello, I am 33 years old and had an intervertebral disc surgery, I got Tramal before that and not a little 6 tablets a200mg. I did not want the tablets after surgery and my body was crazy. My doctor sent me to a detox where I got Doxepin 4 times a day 25mg. On the second day I felt totally bad: dizzy, tired, powerless, beeping in the ears, bad falling asleep, headache. I was told these are side effects of Doxepin. Now after a week nothing has improved. Can someone tell me when that stops and I feel better, every day the same because you will be so stupid. Please help. Thank you

Doxepin for Anxiety and panic attacks

Have used Doxepin differently than prescribed, with only 25 mg instead of 50 mg taken the first time in the evening. That was enough for me, the head was somehow spongy and empty. I have been able to sleep very well for a long time. Before, I woke up at 01:00 or 02:00 clock and have to ring the alarm clock only pondering, five days a week. Unfortunately, I was just as tired the next day, almost the whole day long. Dizziness, sometimes dizziness and a dry mouth could be detected in the morning. However, this has become less and less with time. I am more hungry than usual and have become more balanced. Much is not as important to me now as it was before. I just can not get it right for everyone, which almost made me collapse at work. Because I really suffered, when I did not get something done, or just did not answer the phone, I always had a guilty conscience. Constant fear to forget something or to make wrong, was my previous daily routine. Now after the 50 call until noon, I let it ring once synonymous and make important to the end. It is done one by one and sometimes “no” said to outrageous customers who want to have done everything immediately and best yesterday. For information I am harassed after work hours and also on the weekend of customers, which today is 24 hours a day, seven days a week service normal. Such customers do not bother me at the moment, before they almost ruined my head. The dose has since been increased to 50 mg in the evening and 25 mg in the morning. At the moment, this works quite well, the tiredness in the morning is less and I can still sleep very well. The dose in the morning, was introduced by me independently, because I was very restless, sometimes very easily irritated and also became aggressive. So far it’s ok, let’s see what else is coming. The hoped-for effect of mood enhancement has not yet occurred, I would also wish a little more drive. Then everything would be great. I’m a bit scared of the enormous weight gain, which is often stated here. Can not report anything, except increased hunger. Overall, more positive than negative changes are perceived by me.

Initially 3 times 25 mg were not crept in, but administered overnight. The first 14 days I had no side effects, with it was getting better. The panic attacks were less and my mood improved. Unfortunately, then not insignificant side effects occurred, such as: dizziness, low blood pressure, nausea, and weakness. This was so extreme by the day that my feet felt like lead and I had the feeling of falling over during any physical activity. I reduced my dose to half an hour at midday and 25 minutes and a quarter in the evening. The weakness was reduced significantly, my circulatory problems were better. At this dosage, I take Doxepin now about 3 months, but still cause me side effects. Firstly, I have increased considerably, about 5 kilos and I have to eat controlled, otherwise it would probably be more. In addition, I have more often dizziness and nausea, to the point of nausea. Especially bad is the most in the phase of my period.

    Doxepin for Dizziness; Fatigue

I have been taking Doxepin for about 7 months. Initially I had in the dosage 25 mg morning, noon, evening significant problems with low blood pressure, dizziness, weakness, which was particularly noticeable in activities. I often felt like I had lead in my legs, every movement was difficult, every activity was an effort. I then automatically set the dosage systematically down. Now I take a half 25 mg tablet for breakfast and lunch and only a quarter in the evening. For a while I got along with it quite well, but right now I have the feeling to be more depressed and anxious again. The panic attacks often show up and I get literally cramps. Sometimes I feel confused in my head. I have already tried other medicines, e.g. Cipramil, Mirtazapine, Insidone, Zoloft and all have rather brought negative effects. That’s why Doxepin has been the best cure for my panic attacks so far. I also tried Tavor for a while with Tavor, but I can only advise against that. At the moment it already solves the fears, but they come with decreasing effect all the more. Added to this is the potential for dependence and withdrawal is not exactly the cream.

    Doxepin for Sleep disorders; Depression

Hello, I have been taking Doxepin for about 5 years, mainly because of my sleeping problems. It is a very good medicine! I take 37.5 mg during the working days in the evening and usually 50 mg on weekends. It improves my sleep significantly and I feel a clear stabilization and lightening of my mood. I think everyone has to try out exactly the right dose for themselves. I advise everyone to start with 25 mg. Although one is pretty dazed for about 2 days, then most side effects disappear by themselves. From 50 mg it has unfortunately negative effects for me the next morning. The thinking is then much slower u. you feel a bit dizzy. Also, I have some tinkling, but that’s good to endure. The most important thing is not to give up immediately due to the tiredness of the first days. Also, one should not always increase the dose by 25 mg. I divide the tablets into quarter pieces u. can only recommend this to make u. thus only ever to increase by about 12.5 mg. I’ve tried a lot of sedative AD before u. must say that this helped me the best (with the fewest side effects!) By the way, it is a very cheap AD, that even the family doctor like to prescribe.

After morphine, Lyrica, Tilidine etc I finally have something against the pain, which helps: 25mg Doxepin. Due to the strong side effects, I rarely trust in Doxepin ran. 5 days were the longest I endured. Side effects: Shortly after taking drowsiness, not necessarily unpleasant. Then I can sleep fast, but wake up very quickly, then begins a night of horror. Sleepless, restless, anxious to paranoid, if I can fall asleep, I only sleep at the minute, with the worst nightmares. The next day I’m muddy and listless, somehow wide. My nose is so dry that it hurts, I feel like I’m getting flu. Increased salivation, I think is good. Until now, after each intake, small abscesses have grown in my groin which, after weaning, quickly rise (pus or sac) or simply disappear. More inflamed pimples on the face. Weight gain I can not judge, I take the tablets too rarely I think. Habs today with 12.5 mg tried, I am not so dizzy, nose is dry and hurts, still helps well against the pain. Let’s see how the night is .. The side effects seem to be very different for this drug from person to person.

    Doxepin for Depression

Hello, dear sufferer I have taken the drug in tablet form Doxepin for a long time, at the beginning it had caused a tremendous improvement in my mental state. I took 50 mg half an hour before going to bed, could sleep well, also did not always have the bad feelings and thoughts! But what struck me was my enormous weight gain and my deteriorated vision. Also circulatory problems and tachycardia, as well as dizziness I could watch with me. I do not necessarily want to advise against this drug, but it would be more helpful to have a conversation with a trained psychologist and to work out a balanced daily routine with stress and rest periods. But that costs … I wish you all a speedy recovery!

    Doxepin for Withdrawal symptoms

Hello dear readers. After I went to the doctor for 7 days of abstinence from marijuana because of withdrawal symptoms, because I could no longer sleep properly because of panic attacks, I got from the doctor because I was really very tired with the nerves 3x 2.5 mg Tavor and a prescription for the drug doxepin. My doctor advised me to take one of the tavor immediately, as this should take the fear immediately so that I can calm down and breathe again. To the Doxepin he said I should take 2-3 pieces spread over the day. When I was out of practice and in the pharmacy, I started to cry, because all in all, was too much for me. It had taken almost 5 minutes until I came back down to some extent (very high pulse with strong PANIC). and the nice lady in the pharmacy said with the Tavor I will get better very quickly. I still asked if you take them with water or something. She just said melt in the mouth (works on oral mucosa). The Doxepin was not there at that moment so she asked me to come back at about 13:30 to pick it up. On the way home I took the Tavor to me and it was a quick improvement (almost 10 minutes) Finally, I could sleep. A short time later I went to the pharmacy again to pick up said Doxepin. Over the day distributed I took then also 3 of these tablets to me. I was pretty tired of the whole and slept well too. The same day the same dose and against evening we went again I had a violent panic attack (strong tachy dizziness and unreal feeling) in spite of Doxepin did not go away let alone I came to rest. However, I had already reckoned with that, as it was stated in the leaflet that the drug only really gets its effect after 2 weeks of use. So I took another Tavor 2.5 mg and luckily it went away. When I woke up the next day I felt completely dizzy and dizzy my circulation went right down to my knees and this worried me so I decided to lower the dose to 50 mg. Of course, I discussed this with the doctor and he told me to stay at 1 25mg Dioxepin in the morning and a 25mg Dioxepin in the evening. The drug made me really physically bothered by dizziness to dizziness up to the feeling I could die because it has pressed me very strong on the heart. (In the back of the head continue the idea that could be normal because it was inside the supplement and it was 2 weeks for the true development) on the same evening so day 3 with the drug and a dose of 50 mg I went out of concern to the hospital because I was uncomfortable just because of the leaflet because it takes 2 weeks I decided then home to go and endure it (the circulatory problems were far from great and I was progressively worse). I decided in the morning after getting up to try out if I just took a high dose of Doxepin and took one of them Tablet a quarter and of it again a quarter so 1/8. I have to say that I have the night before, mind you no Tavor taken more because I know that this addict and my doctor said I should only in case of emergency when no longer works. Well the morning broke little sleep and strong drowsiness with circulatory problems determined the day, I took as described above from a 25 mg tablet only 1/8 and went to hot bathing to boost the circulation. I felt like the days before total on it I would have smoked 30 heads and a bottle of whiskey intus I tell you absolute disaster I did not manage the day really nothing. In the evening, because I got such a kind of circulatory collapse-like condition, I went to the hospital in the evening as a panic spread in me which is anything but beautiful and in my opinion came because of the drug. I told the doctor my ordeal and he measured my heart rate a rest pulse of 120 I had. I asked him how long about the drug in the body remain he said about 12 hours. Note that I had only taken 5 mg ca and it was really dirty. He then prescribed me another drug called Opipramol 20 pcs. In 50 mg dose and said I should take this before falling asleep to be able to sleep better. The later the evening the better I was because this Doxepin was finally out of my body. I finally got clear in my mind the circulatory problems disappeared and I was fine. I made myself something to eat and took just before going to sleep like Verodnet a tablet. It took a good 2 hours until I fell asleep but it is a very restful sleep because my girlfriend had to get out early it was barely 4 hours. But do not worry about dizziness circulation

Doxepin for Aggressiveness; Borderline; Sleep disorders

Taking Doxepin for 14 days now. Daily dose 150 mg. Initial side effects such as severe drowsiness, delirium and mental confusion. However, was certainly at a too high dosage. Doxepin got against my strong restlessness and tension conditions in the context of a borderline disorder and after taking a variety of drugs, I am currently very satisfied. I take the medicine 3 times a day and am now well through the day. So the effect is very good – so good that inexperienced patients may want to keep their hands off it, because it really does rejuvenate. But can, as above, also be at the height of the dosage. – Now to Promethazine (also known as Atosil): causes the same as above, ingestion by drop or high tablet presentation more complicated; Effect top; Side effects but not to be underestimated. Promethazine unfolds after taking 30 drops its effect on me only after 3-4 hours, while Doxepin strikes already after 1 hour. The latter is longer lasting and gentler; Promethazine is more effective in one stroke and is not noticeable after a short time (apart from the side effects such as dullness and muscle relaxation). I would therefore recommend Promethazine only as a sleep aid, while Doxepin can be well incorporated into everyday life.

Doxepin for Alcohol addiction; Investigated; Depression

It’s strange, but was :)) For months, I drink one to two bottles of wine a day and consume about 5-10g of cocaine a week. For two days I have with baclofen (100mg) a day no more request. Neither after cocaine nor after alcohol. Sexual desire is severely limited, but not so bad. I feel a bit dizzy, my muscles are limp, my ability to concentrate leaves something to be desired, the circulation is not very stable … all in all, bearable. The voice control is in no way limited, the eyes are clear. I’m a bit fidgety, and I have strong urge to move, especially the legs are constantly bobbing. Doxipin does not help against cocaine and alcohol addiction. She is more paralyzing and debilitating and sometimes you are just too tired to call your dealer. When I feel a strong craving for cocaine, I took 100mg of doxipin and after half an hour, I did not want to move. But does not always help especially if the pressure is too high. – On the other hand, baclofen is a real panacea, because the pressure disappears … I can look to the future with confidence again. Baclofen is absolutely recommended. The urge for addictive substances is no longer present.

    Doxepin for Sleep disorders; Depression

I first got into depression in 2001 due to exam anxiety and sleep disturbances (before ADHD was detected). I should go up to 4x daily 50mg. That was hell! After two days full of panic attacks (did not trust me out of the house, stayed mostly in bed) and significantly increased fears with optical hallucinations I reduced in consultation with the doctor to 50mg / evening. With the 50mg we went much better. I slowly increased to 75 and 100mg / day over the coming weeks. After about 3 weeks, the antidepressant effect began. Better than amineurine, but not much stronger. Benefits: slightly increase in drive, slightly antidepressive, slightly appetite-suppressing, inexpensive. Negative side effects: feeling thirsty, dizziness, especially at the beginning of taking, diffuse feeling of unreality, difficulty concentrating, forgetfulness. Settling phenomena: None

Side effects: Panic attacks; Thirst; Dizziness

    Doxepin for Investigated

If dexopin did not induce dizziness, articulation and sweating in me, it would be a miracle drug for me. I have used bromazepam for more than 20 years against my anxiety and ultimately could not tell if the problem still existed or if it was the result of the pull-out symptom. Trying to remove bromzepam slowly ended after a few days with seizures incl. Mortal fear (who has experienced, knows what I mean – it’s hell !!!) After taking 20 mg of dexopin in the morning, or 50 mg at night, I could the daily dose of Bromazepam within 4 weeks from 12 to 4.5 mg (3/4 tab.). The above-mentioned side effects were in no relation to previous attempts to sell the drug without replacement. On the advice of my doctor, I take the reduced Bromazepammenge for the next 2 months until, in a second and third step, I can finally do without Bromazepam altogether. The ideal drug for the search therapy of bromazepam – stupid only that only a general practitioner suggested this measure after my neurologist had me years of good health durazanil (btromazepam) prescribed.
