    Ciprofloxacin for Angina tonsillaris; Sinusitis

Am currently on day 3 of the intake of 2x 500mgr a day. Already the tablet this morning came out immediately, vomiting all day, even after drinking water. Drowsiness, dizziness, fatigue, complete helplessness because of physical limitations. This strong one-sided headache, this also since the 2nd day, but could still be assigned as a poisoning reaction. After an early rapid recovery, I am MUCH worse today than at the beginning of the treatment, will not take the Avend tablet and get another drug tomorrow. I’m worried that such a drug in Germany gets an approval and RESERVES, really great!

Side effects: Vomit; Fatigue; Dizziness; Headache

    Ciprofloxacin for Cystitis

I have been prescribed Ciprofloxacin for the treatment of cystitis by my GP (250mg, 2x a day). Previously, I had already received the antibiotic cotrimoxazole because of the same condition, which I tolerated very well and which also helped against the inflammation. So I assumed the Cipro would look similar and did not think much about taking it. The package leaflet lists the usual possible side effects that can be used to live well during treatment, as well as nothing that makes one alert. But after the first tablet, I felt strong changes. My arms felt heavy, my elbows hurt as if you were stabbing them with a knife. I felt dizzy, a short time later, a strong physical agitation, I could not sit still. Also, I was suddenly very easily irritable and aggressive (otherwise I am a more relaxed and calm person), broke down in tears for no reason and felt otherwise just sick. After the second pill I felt a tug in my thighs and back, my palms burning and I had a bad taste in my mouth. I felt tired but could not or did not sleep very well (during the entire treatment period). After the third tablet I had the impression that my fingers were swollen. Alarmed, I called in practice and told about my previous reactions. We weighed down, normal side effects, I should read the package insert. In the meantime, the treatment with Cipro had an effect on my work, I was no longer on the line, was unfocused and just stood next to me. Word-finding difficulties (spoken and written) and forgetfulness annoyed me in addition. My neck was cramping, my knees were inflamed and my knees were somehow taut. On the third day the diarrhea began, I had constant pressure on my stomach and ran half an hour away from the toilet. Meanwhile my fingers and toes hurt, also here I had the feeling of inflammations. On the penultimate day my whole body ached, most of the legs (calves and knees), the running was difficult, the corridor up a staircase made me very hard. I had spasms in the soles of my feet. Lying or sitting in one position did not take long, then new pain appeared at the pressure-loaded areas. The last use of the drug is over a month ago. As I write this, my fingers and wrists ache, my back and chest, and my legs still hurt. I hope the effect soon disappears. If you get the drug prescribed, ask your doctor what it is all about. If in doubt, prescribe a lighter remedy, I would never take Cipro for such a small bladder infection again!

I was supposed to take Ciprofloxacin 500mg for 10 days in the morning and in the evening for kidney pancreas, already at the 2nd infusion I had a severe circulatory collapse with nausea, severe sweating, dizziness, vomiting and ringing of the ears. Now on the 4th day, severe abdominal pain, headaches and nightmares were added. I feel really bad with this medicine and I have to take it for a full 6 days, so 12 tablets. Impossible, not recommended!

I’m a bit scared of ciprofloxacin because I normally tolerate antibiotics! Even with a 250 mg package that was prescribed to me, I got the following side effects: * persistent drowsiness * loss of appetite * sensitivity * tightness in the chest (very strong) * drowsiness * lovelessness * neck pain, (or muscle pain), the barely get away are so uplifting in the head that it causes a kind of pressure in the head. Sometimes it calms down when you sit, you hardly get up, the pressure comes back acutely and is accompanied by unpleasant stitches. I get through these tablets, as if I would drink for 5 days or would be on the worst drugs, or must endure the toughest hangover of it!

    Ciprofloxacin for Stomach-intestinal infection-

I had a severe stomach intestinal infection and was supposed to take the medicine morning and night (2 times 500mg). On the first day I did not notice, only that the inflammation in the abdomen eased. On the second day then extreme drowsiness about 1 hour after ingestion. I had to go back to bed and slept 4 hours like in a coma. I forced myself out of bed but felt extremely dull and weak. At night, extreme pain in the abdomen, which made me hardly sleep. On the 3rd day then dizziness associated with tight in the chest and the feeling just did not get enough air. Could only withstand sitting. Approximately 10 hours after ingestion, this subsided. In the night but then again total sleep disorders. Have never been able to sleep more than 1 hour. Pain in the legs and cramps in the abdomen. But the abdomen was much better than the night before. Of course I feel pretty weak and tired now, but so far no breathing problems anymore. If the antibiotic takes 10 days, the side effects should stop, I will discontinue it after the 5th day. You just feel worse than without. But also think that the dose is perhaps quite high for me. I’m only 1.71 tall and weigh 52kg.

Have now for the 1st time a bladder infection. More precisely, I suspect that. Unfortunately, my gynecologist only gave me a prescription. The medical assistant said that I should take now. Already at the end of the second day came to heavy flatulence, well, casual compared to the bladder problems. But on the third day it was right, really bad. Migraines, nausea, muscle atrophy. Unfortunately it was already in the evening. I could barely stand still at night, my head, I thought it exploded. In the morning, I could barely stand up when I got up, had the feeling of being completely beside me. The call to the doctor, she said that could come anywhere, had never had such a thing before. Nevertheless, I should stop the drug. I would definitely NEVER take it again!

    Ciprofloxacin for Urinary tract infection

I received this medicine from an internist because of a mild urinary tract infection. It was six tablets. In the evening I took the first. A few hours later, I was in pain on the left superstructure, as well as strong side stitches. The next day in the morning a circulatory collapse with subsequent vomiting that lasted the whole day: I vomited half-hourly for 12 hours and had severe abdominal pain and had a terrible headache. It was not possible to continue taking the drug. Then in the evening slight improvement. Then, always in the afternoon, these petty stomach-like abdominal pains, plus drowsiness, now slowly evaporating after six days. I find that these severe side effects are not related to the severity of the infection. Never before have I reacted so much to an AB. Can not recommend the drug.

    Ciprofloxacin for Nephritis

After two days in the whole body joint pain, freezing, neuropathy, palpitations, stiff feet..He had to go to the emergency, this said, stop immediately. That is already half a year ago. The pain comes in spurts over again. How can a drug be prescribed that breaks down more than it uses?

    Ciprofloxacin for Bronchitis (chronic)

Treatment of chronic bronchitis, application: 6 tablets in the morning / evening each 500mg Within a few days developed in my chest and back pain, loss, sometimes cough and runny nose. After I went to the doctor, he prescribed me Cirpofloxacin 500mg. A few hours after the first dose, the pain was almost gone, but about 6 hours after taking it I began to cry for some unintelligible reason. This increased after taking another tablet. Now and then there was a chirping in the left or right ear, dizziness and pain in the legs. Anxiety, nightmares, depression were the worst thing in my eyes. I did not see any meaning in my life, cried for over an hour at times. I felt anxious, as if I would never get well again. I think that the side effects of depression increase in patients who are already a bit stunted.4 days later I developed diarrhea. My doctor recommended me to sell the tablets and got a new AB. Another doctor told me that for her generally it would seem that the dosage would have been too high for me. 1000mg a day, to 174 cm and 48 KG would be very much. Nevertheless, they were effective. After 4 days of taking my lungs and bronchi are free and I have become a non-smoker.
