    Doxepin for Psychosis; Depression

I have been taking Zeldox and Doxepin for about 6 years, after a drug-induced psychosis. Getting started with Zeldox was a bit difficult because I was pretty tired and unfocused in the first few days! After two or three weeks my body got used to the medication relatively quickly. The acute symptoms of psychosis were then as good as gone already after 10 days! I take only 80 mg of Zeldox in the evening and am worried that if I do not take it 2 hours before going to bed I can not sleep. Have forgotten it a few times and then could not sleep the whole night, even if I took it later than at the usual time. However, I will try to sell it in the near future because I want to live completely drug-free, after I have been taking drugs for 6 years now and have not smoked for 5 years. Because every drug has side effects and I believe any continuous use has consequences that the drug manufacturers can not rule out !. The Doxepin I’m already on the slink and I suddenly realize that in the morning I am not so tired. Otherwise, if I did not work, I could stay in bed until 11:00 and daydream! I took Doxepin at 25 mg in the morning and 50 mg in the evening. Currently I am on 25 mg in the evening and in 10 days I hope to be 0. Then it’s the turn of the Zeldox. I will also reduce in 20 mg steps over 4 weeks. I am a little bit afraid that the psychosis could recur, because my doctor persuades me permanently that I should take this a lifetime, but as I said, it is not in my sense to take medications that are not necessarily vital for a lifetime. Nevertheless, I can at least recommend the Zeldox very much. It reliably fixes the symptoms of psychosis and is certainly important for several years after an acute psychotic attack!
