    Topamax for Cluster headache

Since the diagnosis in 2001 I am receiving preventive treatment with this drug. The application depends on the attack frequency and has already 1000mg daily dose means. Without this treatment, I would be a case of care and from the bed and out of the apartment did not come out. Only through a clear diagnosis of UNI Münster in person Professor Dr.Dr. Evers gave me another chance to shape my life. This treatment concept includes u.a. the standard treatments for cluster headache. Except for an initial weight loss and difficulty concentrating, with slight gait fluctuations and fears, I had no significant side effects with Topamax.

    Topamax for Migraine

For me, the drug has extreme side effects. So I noticed: (looked at wikipedia) very strong: extremely strong fatigue !!! increased irritability !!! Depression !!! Concentration disorders !!! Disturbed memory capability !!! the feeling that you can no longer learn what you have learned Sleep disorders !!! weak: eating disorders It is not clear if everything came only through the drug, but I suffer from severe depression. It was discontinued over a year ago. Positive effect: (had frequent strong Mirgäne with strong aura … blurred vision … tingling / paralysis etc …) no more migraine attacks since taking the drug and not even after stopping !!! Conclusion: Despite the positive effect of masking migraine, I would advise against any of this drug because of the side effects (which may have left me with significant lasting harm in the form of depression).

    Topamax for Migraine

I started in the first week with 25 mg in the evening and went up in the second on noon 25 and evening 25. Headaches have fallen by at least 50 percent so far. However, the side effects are insane. Yesterday, for example I was doing really well during the day, but at night it was really bad. I woke up and everything was so badly tingling, suddenly I hardly noticed any more and almost fainted. I’ve just had a strong tingling in both halves of my face for at least two hours. In addition, I am often depressed and often get wine attacks, I am tired, weakened, unfocused. Consider breaking it often and if it’s worth it. Try to go down a little bit with the dosage, let’s see what happens. It does not look too good with my appetite either. Had initially decreased from 53 to 50 pounds. Within the first week.

    Topamax for A headache

I take the Topamax in the evening, starting with 25mg, which I have increased weekly (had 🙂 – up to now 100mg (possibly it could still be increased to a maximum of 400mg per day, but then in 2 cans, tomorrow /Eve). – As it seems, but I will not do that, because with me the drug unfortunately not at all strikes, positive, I mean! How I would like to have at least weight loss as a desired side effect 😉 Otherwise, I suffer increasingly from depressive moods, inner restlessness, difficulty concentrating, headaches, noise and photosensitivity, etc. – Where I must add, I can not say whether it is is actually about side effects or just about the continuation of my 16-year history. In addition, I often think that I’m simply resistant to some meds. My God, what have already pumped everything into me …

    Topamax for Epilepsy

Have lost within a week 5 kg, that was the nicest side effect! Otherwise, I was with the drug very bad! At first, only this tingling in the toes and in the fingers, but then got depression and anxiety! Could not concentrate anymore, was just tired and I could not manage my household! I was dropped Topamax again and I was again switched to Lamictal, which I took before, again! I would not recommend Topamax to anyone! I am well again with Lamictal! But I also got seizure-free, despite the bad side effect! But I’m free of seizures with Lamictal!

I was prescribed Topamax in a day clinic. I had significant side effects. I felt sick all day. Tingling in the arms and legs and feeling of weakness throughout the body. Extremely what the tingling under the feet, which was also connected with pain. I was constantly dizzy. Visual disturbances also came about. The worst was the depression, to suicidal thoughts. I absolutely could not concentrate. I’ve had an anxiety disorder for over 14 years, which has now developed into a generalized disorder. The anxiety was compounded when taking Topamax. But none of the doctors wanted me to believe that these are side effects of Topamax. I also took other medications at that time, but when I discontinued Topamax on my own, the symptoms disappeared again. The only good thing about the drug was that I had no more nightmares.

    Topamax for Migraine

Suffering from migraine for over 25 years. 5-6 seizures a month. After many unsuccessful attempts with acupuncture and various medications I have been trying for 15 months with Topamax migraine. Starting with 25mg, increased up to 75mg. The seizures have reduced to about 1 attack per month and I get the handle with Allegro or Ibuprofen well. However, the side effects are quite large: in the beginning very strong tingling in the fingers and feet, which is not so common anymore. Weight loss, taste impairment, concentration disorders and fatigue. In the last weeks forgetfulness and hair loss came to it. Despite all the side effects, it has improved my quality of life.

    Topamax for Migraine

Already on the second day I noticed a tingling in the hands and in both halves of my face. However, that has noticeably reduced and does not occur as often. However, I often feel limp and need more sleep than usual. In addition, I often feel slightly depressed and can concentrate badly. As a result, I often have problems expressing myself correctly. Furthermore, I have very little appetite, I have a feeling of hunger but then I ‘ve no desire to eat something, and after a snack, such as a cookie, the hunger was eaten and that was then a meal. I have now lost 12kg in the 2.5 months. But I’m more thirsty than before and drink a lot of water.

As already described; no desire for sex and caresses have unfortunately become unwanted side effects as well as digestive problems, sheep disorders; sometimes fatigue and difficulty concentrating. The seizures are a side effect of the surgery, have reduced to a few in the first 2 years after surgery, and it is estimated that I can dispense in 3-4 years on the medication. TOPAMAX 50 has also been tested recently, after two weeks of use it has severe depression, blurred vision, indigestion, severe motor difficulties, speech problems, persistent tingling in hands and feet, orientation problems. But was immediately put back on Keppra.
