    Gabapentin for Rls

Obtained by the neurologist Gabapentin against my RLS (light form) prescribed mainly to get a good night’s sleep. Since gabapentin is a centrally acting agent, the associated side effects such as fatigue and difficulty concentrating, in addition to increased appetite and resulting weight gain, that’s actually the problem. Despite evening dosing of 100mg, the following day is very slow / sluggish. One has the feeling, mentally and physically, to drive with the handbrake on. The RLS symptoms are of course also muted. I will talk again with my neurologist about alternatives.

    Gabapentin for Polyneuropathie

With 3 x 900 a day, the sensations of pain are gone. All side effects are considered the lesser evil against the pain. Annoying is the permanent ear noise. The drawbacks: thinking, concentration, speaking, memory, writing, reading are significant. Being unable to sleep, being permanently tired, gives you the rest. I have been healing for 2 years now. My body functions come back. I will be cured in a year and now already let the drug creep out carefully.

    Gabapentin for Phantom pain

Although I am painless with gabapentin, I notice more and more side effects, i.a. – strong weight gain – thought disorders, concentration disorders – sleep disorders – tachycardia – ear noises – water retention throughout the body (heart and kidneys are without findings). I have stopped taking tramadol after just over a year. I suffered the associated withdrawal symptoms. Gabapentin for Disc prolapse

Spinal surgery 1999, then pain free. Car accident 2004, pain occurs again. From then on Tramadol 400-600mg daily. October 2008 Change to Gabapentin. (Reason for the change: At times, nausea caused by tramadol also claimed the doctors I would be Tramadol-dependent). Side effects of gabapentin: Weight gain, difficulty concentrating, fatigue, vision problems (need reading glasses and often see only blurry). As soon as I work something I’m in great pain despite gabapentin.

    Gabapentin for Pain (joint)

Side effects: Constipation, tiredness, difficulty concentrating, sweating, depression. I take now 4x half a tablet of 20 mg oxycodone every 6 years for 6 months. Gabapentin 3x daily (morning, noon, evening). This combination works very well against my pain. I have osteoarthritis in the right elbow joint. As a side effect bothers me the most, that you needed more sleep and the concentration has decreased greatly. Forgetfulness also occurs more frequently in my life. Furthermore blockages and I have become more moody. I strongly believe that kidney and liver are severely affected by these drugs. Which Medikamt now causes something I do not know exactly. I think oxycodone will be more harmful as an opioid. If I miss a dose, then I get cravings, hour later stomach cramps, diarrhea, sweats and tremors.

    Gabapentin for Nerve damage

I am taking 800mg in the evening, which makes me very tired and as I am falling asleep this is a good side effect. Still, I’m drunk and have big word-finding problems that come up later in the day. Dry mouth, lack of concentration due to tiredness and insecurity while running. Big weight gain of 8 kilos, although I eat very little, no weight reduction.
