    Clindamycin for Pain (tooth)

Very good: If toothache is caused by bacteria (keyword: root-treated tooth), so it seems pain-relieving after the first intake and in the best case the pain is gone after a few days (causes such as bad root fillings are of course not eliminated, but the culprit is localized with it). BUT: The side effects are not to be underestimated, so I recommend the following: The strict Every 8 hours of intake should be softened so that you can take the tablet with a meal. In no case throw in on an empty stomach at night and go back to sleep. When taking at least 0.5 liters of water and drink a lot in the first hours after taking. But the aftertaste should be remembered. Take a perenterol forte daily, soothes the stomach and intestines. Preferably a few hours after taking clindamycin. These recommendations are based on your own experience as follows. I took Clindamycin for treatment of a root-treated tooth and took it to me without bothering every 8 hours (so none of the recommendations above) and within a few days I was very bad with severe diarrhea and appetite, so clindamycin had to be discontinued after 3 days. With the side effects I had to fight for weeks until my intestinal flora had recovered. Half a year later I finally had the root-treated tooth pulled and promptly got an alveolitis sicca with inflammation, which should be treated with clindamycin. This time I met the mentioned rules quite meticulously. I had no pain or intestinal problems, that is Clindamycin worked without any problems, but without any real side effects.

Apart from the sometimes bitter taste in the mouth, a stomach waning at the end of the treatment, a lack of appetite and a soft stool, there were no problems. Have taken on the 4th day accompanying Perenterol Forte.

I can only confirm what I’ve read in this forum so far. Two weeks after a back surgery, Schwerzen used the surgery. After another 12 days, inflammation was diagnosed, which (since I was in a clinic) was treated intravenously with clindamycin 600 3x daily. I tolerated these quite well – the side effects were limited to a changed taste, loss of appetite, slight itching on the thighs. Then I was switched to tablets (again 3 times daily Clindamycin 600) and discharged after another 3 days. On the fourth day (now at home), the side effects then slowly set in: permanent nausea. In the night of the 5th day sweats, tachycardia (over 100 / min) high blood pressure. Nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, shit outbreaks, tachycardia, anxiety, trembling all over, tampon on tongue, angular taste, itchy skin. The now called emergency doctor advised me to stop taking this medication immediately and to choose an alternative medicine the next day with my doctor. Driving a car is definitely not possible with this remedy, as must now run a taxi.
