Promethazine for Anxiety disorders; Obsessive compulsive disorder; Sleep disorders

Take sertraline for about one and a half years now in the high dosage 150 mg / day. The effect has gradually improved, reaching its peak after about 4 months, which has since then continued. For decades, compulsive thoughts and social anxiety as well as depressive moods have almost completely improved. Even initial side effects have diminished over time. So, the only side effect of sertraline is a sleep disorder, but I have it with promethazine under control.

    Promethazine for Psychosis; Sleep disorders

On my last entry, because of my paranoid schizophrenia, I was regularly injected with Risperdal Consta every 14 days. What was discontinued due to the strong side effects. Now I get Amisulprid Hexal 100 mg tablets, which I have to take every 2 days. I have not noticed any side effects yet. Because of my insomnia, I now get Promethazine neuraxpharm 50 mg, but they do not help me, I keep awake. As an adjunct drug, I get zopiclone neuraxpharm, this sleeping drug makes me sleep. The side effects of the sleeping pills are that the next day I do not get active until very late at lunchtime and feel like I’m in a drowsy state all day long.

Hello. Have never noticed that before but when I take now Atosil (promethazine) I get an hour later, severe blurred vision, everything is blurred and everything is totally out of focus. I do not mean to be too cumbersome when sleeping, but if you do not want to go to bed right now, it’s quite a hindrance. Do you have that too? Do you lie down then? greeting

    Side effects: Blurred vision

Promethazine for Post-traumatic stress disorder; Mood swings; Stress; Borderline; Depression; Sleep disorders

For about 2 years I get (with a short break) promethazine (currently 50mg). The dose may be too low, because until I get tired it takes hours, fears hardly go away and the restlessness is not gone quickly. But when I calm down and calm down, sleep is generally reasonably good, and sometimes very good. Citalopram I get for about 1 year, currently 15mg (were times 10mg, sometimes 20mg). Compatibility is actually quite good, but I do not really know if it really is because of the drug, that sometimes I feel a little better, or if it is simply because psychotherapy is making progress. Sometimes I still have my break-ins, as well as the mood swings. Tavor I get only as an emergency drug, then in 1-2mg. It usually brings an improvement and the side effects are not more important than the effect, but it is not really recommended because it has addictive potential. If only in emergency situations and not permanently! For people with addictive problems sometimes less suitable, where I also have a phlebotomy addictive, but which does not necessarily refer to addiction-promoting remedies. Remestan sometimes works after hours, sometimes not at all – depending on the tension and restlessness, I still do not sleep or not sleep much. For some people, it may be useful to know that it has somehow sensory side effects (weird mouthfeel, other sensations are somehow different), but this is not important to me as long as it works and the side effects are not threatening, no permanent damage leave behind or even deadly.

It was really crying .. tired but not by sleeping can .. well, I hope that Prom shows effect and lets me sleep through. Honestly, I do not believe so much in the success

So at Trevilor I had quite a circulatory problem at the beginning. I could barely walk, but then disappeared after 2 weeks and my general condition has improved … but when I wanted to sell my medication .. also the Trevilor I got really severe weaning symptoms such as vomiting, headaches, circulatory problems and the depression came again. I’ll take the medicine again now.

    Promethazine for Sleep disorders

I can not say too much, it’s the second attempt. I had taken Doxepin 10 mg 2 years for anxiety disorders with sleep-disorder, wanted something else since I had 20 kg increased by Doxepin. So I dropped Doxepin from one day to the other and got a Promethazine 25 in the afternoon. There was no talk of sleeping, I felt like my heart was beating, I was restless, panicked. The next day I immediately called my doctor and told her. She then said that I had dropped the doxepin too suddenly. Maybe, you should rather sneak out. She then prescribed me Doxepin again and I took it again for a while and reduced it to a half, so 5 mg. For sleeping I found it very good, only the weight gain. But I still had the Promethazine and started to divide the 25s into four pieces, one of them. I’ll just see how they get me, because as I read here, they are against sleep disorders. Perhaps the restlessness was due to the discontinuation of doxepin. Incidentally, I also take 40-50 drops of tilidine because of a pinched nerve. Whether that will work, I have to try. But I will, if again, then prescribe drops of promethazine, because I can dose the better.

    Side effects: Palpitations; Unrest

    Promethazine for Depression; Sleep disorders

At the beginning, I tolerated everything super well, until I noticed that I have gained a great deal in less time, cravings, sweating in small work, heart races. In any case, I slept great and was in the morning again quickly fit, not as Doxepin since I was still totally in the morning next to the track. The kilos started to bother me so much that I only put it off on medication. I stopped taking them hoping to eat less again. Which was true, but I do not sleep at night anymore. It is not my body resting but that is not sleep, you hear everything and that is not a restful sleep. Especially not with two children. I’m afraid to access the drugs again because otherwise I’ll get up like a yeast cake. About 25-30 kilos in the months. That’s why my question also make these drugs dependent? What can you do that is a cycle from which one does not come out so easily.

I take promethazine Neuraxpharm for about 1 month against sleep disorders and take them after use. Say, really only if I have strong sleep problems. Unfortunately, I get through the night twitching, which rob me even more sleep or even wake. the unpleasant feeling also runs through the day. I will therefore no longer take the drug.

    Side effects: Muscle twitching

Since I get this medication, I suddenly start to twitch at night, I can not help it and sometimes I get really panic. In addition, I dreamed at the beginning of the intake, so before the drug level had stopped, not at all (as far as I know) and now it’s more like before the first intake, I dream again and through this kind of dreams, I get anxiety again … I do not know if it makes so much sense to raise the medication dose … at the moment I take 25mg Promethazine …

    Promethazine for Sleep disorders

So, now I would like to share my experiences, because something incredible happened to me. For some months I have been using promethazine because I could not sleep well and was too agitated. The drug helped me a lot. I quickly fell asleep and was not smashed the next morning either. Side effects include water retention and weight gain. This can only happen sometimes, but I got a little headache after taking the drug for a long time and I have gained a lot of weight. In the last two years, I have lost 25 kg through diet and exercise. After Christmas I had about 7 – 8 kg back on it. At first I thought that was related to Christmas and I was motivated and changed my diet again and went back to sports regularly. I could do whatever I wanted, I always had a weight. Whether I was at sports, that did not matter. I was really desperate and then went to my doctor. She took blood from me and also examined urine. It was all great, so that a metabolic disorder or thyroid disease could be ruled out. I then told her my suspicions about Promethazine, but she did not want to hear that. I then discontinued the drug on my own, since I should only take it if necessary anyway. The first 7 days did not happen, but then it started. I had to go to the bathroom so often and for weeks, so I lost almost 4 kg in the first week alone. Now begins the second week and I was now (10:31 clock) 14 times on the toilet. So if you have these problems, it could be that you also have water in it.

    Side effects: Water storages

Initially slight drowsiness during the day. Otherwise well tolerated. With 25-30 drops, or 2 to 3 tablets, I have the best experience, which corresponds to about 25-30mg active ingredient. At higher doses the daytime fatigue was very pronounced the next day.
