Addendum: I drove at night bike in bed. Ropinirole in combination with levodopa helped a lot. I am about to go to bed and have no restless legs since at night. I take levodopa in the afternoon and at night.

    Requip for Rls

i have rls since i am child. then in spurts over several years, then annually. These relapses annually are now accompanied by an aggravation of the symptoms. but I have had the symptoms daily for about 10 years. I started with 0.25. I am now at 2 x 0.5 in the evening. have since slept through the first time (despite the cold and 1 paracetamol). However, I am of the opinion that a dosage should go on throughout the day. It is true that ropinirole works badly when the fidgeting has just begun. so I take it as soon as I sit down in the evening. During the day I can still get up when these symptoms come. However, I had a push now with aggravation of the symptoms. means: pain in the legs no longer only at night in peace, but also during the day. probably as a consequence of the constant movements at night. but unfortunately there is only ropinirole retard from 2.0. I would need it now at 1.0.

    Requip for Rls

Initially I took 0.5 mg ropinirole before going to sleep, after about 4 months I had to go up to 1 mg. Effect is great and I am virtually without discomfort. But I often suffered from nausea, otherwise no side effects … I thought. Since the beginning of the year I have gained about 6 kg without eating anything else. I did not associate this with ropinirole because the weight gain was so slow. But it must be related, especially since I read here that was the case with others.

At sifrol, it went quite well in the beginning, I was thrilled only after and stole strong fatigue, depresions and violent mood swings. after about two years, however, I had reached the highest dose, although the manufacturer stated that no dependency or increase in the dose is provided. with requip and ropinirole it is similar only because I reached the highest dose already after about 6 months. Among the two drugs, I found that my eyes have become extremely bad.

    Requip for Rls

I have to take the medication 2 hours before going to bed. Since I am very tired of it, the evening is not a joy for me, I just want to sleep. I’m a little sick of it and I have to constantly push open.

    Requip for Rls

Hello, take ropinirole for some time now and the effect diminishes. The dosage must repeatedly increase and my doctor is rock firmly convinced that the so-called Augmentation effect does not occur in the dopaminergist. It follows that my symptoms have become significantly worse within a year. But he also does not consider this possible, would not correspond to the course of the disease !? Besides, the pills make me very tired. Half an hour after taking it I have to go to bed because I’m tired, I have to vomit often. The symptoms occur earlier in the evening and sometimes I wake up (despite 12 hours duration!) In the morning at 6 in the morning because of the legs! I’m only 26 years old and I wonder where that ends! I also find no clever doctor, mine does not listen to me and has no understanding of my fear. Another, also specialized in RLS told me only, he thinks he understood what the disease but he can not help me ….. Knows a good doctor in the Rhein-Main area? Do you have similar experiences with RLS?

    Requip for Rls

I get other medications because of my RLS. Hydromorphone 80mg, Lyrica 600mg, Ariclaim 60mg and Amitriptyline 50mg. In addition to my depression and anxiety 100mg Sertraline, Lorazepam 7.5mg leg, Ropinirole is crept in with 2mg for 2 weeks, then 4mg for 2w, etc. to 16mg or ifs helps … was the neurologist’s statement. Am now at 6 mg and do not really notice any improvement in leg movements. A good doctor in the Rhine-Main area is an anesthetist and pain therapist in Hofheim. Dr. Ferlemann He wants to hear clear complaints what is really, where the pain, what has already been checked everything and tried and then he tells you what he thinks is right for you. But you can decide many things yourself and ask questions without any problems. He is also ready to throw a concept over it because it does not work and does not leave you alone for 3 months with the drug. In the beginning I was partly there every 2-3 days .. Has someone similar experiences, with the ropinirole or with the other drugs.

    Requip for Rls

I have not taken Ropinirol for a long time, it was an attempt to see if it helps. And it does! So about 20 minutes before going to bed, I take 1 tablet. If I’m lying down, I’ll only need to tense up my (left) leg two to four times and let go, then I can fall asleep. Rarely do I have to take in the afternoon, but at night I continue my usual dosage. I hope it will help for a long time. That’s also the reason for my 10-point rating. 14.11.10 Moni B. from C.

    Requip for Rls

I have suffered from RLS since childhood and did not know until 3 years ago that there would be a medical treatment for it. I entrusted myself to a neurologist who medicated me! I take Ropinirol from ABZ 3,5mg! (Starting with daily 1.0mg, then a few hours later 1.5mg and just before going to sleep 2.0mg) I tolerate so far quite well, sometimes there are severe nausea and circulatory breakdowns, I had to accept already, but that is relative Rare! However, there are still days when I could go crazy because I still have extremely strong restless legs / arms despite taking the medication. I noticed when the weather changes from warm to cold or vice versa, I suffer extremely! The other day I’ve read about a long-term acupuncture, the sufferers have had good experiences and should be comfortable. I will also undergo this acupuncture after consultation with my neurologist, and then report here whether I too will be symptom-free in the future. But I also like to take other advice. I wish all the better and especially calm legs / arms LG Anja;)

    Requip for Rls

Ropinirole helps very well before the symptoms start. I take 6 mg ropinirole at around 20:30. If I take it before I start fidgeting, then I have rest all night. But I miss the moment and I fidget, and then take the first Ropinirol, then it takes hours until I finally come to rest. A disgusting side effect for me is the nausea that sometimes lasts up to 3 hours. I always have the feeling that the pills have slipped back into the esophagus and thus cause a gagging sensation. Dizzy is only from time to time. I can recommend Ropinirol.

I have been taking 0.5 mg ropinirole at bedtime for 4 weeks. The effect is great! Before I took Levopar 125 mg for a few months, but then the efficacy was very fast and in the end it had no effect at all. The only side effect I feel is nausea. But it is getting better.
