    Remicade for Morbus crohn

I have Crohn’s disease for 6 1/2 years. He was diagnosed 3 1/2 years ago. Initially, they tried to get the thrusts with Salofalk under control. But they became more and more frequent and violent. In 2007, after the diagnosis began treatment with Imurek. I always tolerated it well, even now; possibly because I only get one third of the usual dose because I metabolize the drug differently. With relapses, I always got prednisone, which usually struck after 3 days, followed by a speedy recovery followed. This year the prednisone did not work anymore. Maybe a resistance has arisen. Since the push did not end, my doctor has prescribed Remicade for me. At first I tolerated it without problems. After the third infusion, a penetrating itch has appeared for the first time. It had itched all over the body like countless mosquito bites. There was nothing to see. This has stopped for about 4 weeks, with the symptoms having decreased over time. After the 4th infusion, I had a nettle rash on my face and décolleté two days later. The spots were deep red and hot. At the same time I felt sick. The same day I received the antiallergic Zetallerg from the doctor. I only took one tablet. Then the rash has slowly subsided. In the third week after the infusion, I was always feeling sick for four days. Not sure if it really comes from Remicade. Since today I have this Ausshhlag again. It is now the fourth week after the infusion. I woke up like that. It itches all day and the head is hot. I took a Zetallerg right in the morning. But that did not help until the evening. It’s important to mention that at the moment I still have Imurek despite Remicade. The Crohn is very quiet since Remicade, toi toi toi …

    Remicade for Morbus crohn

Personally, I’ve been getting Remicade for over 3 years, every 6-8 weeks, depending on how I feel. In itself Remicade works quite well, unfortunately not completely against abscesses and fistulas, still have about 1 time a year because of an operation. About 6 years ago I got a remicade, unfortunately it did not work after almost a year and I was switched to Humira. I also got that for about 2 years before I became immune to it. After a change of doctor and renewed Remicade therapy in maximum dose, I finally came about 3 years ago finally (after 12 years) away from the cortisone. For that I have to do now enormously with my hAut and no one can really say, whether it is a Neurodermitis caused by Remicade or the like. My hair has almost completely failed me and my libido is no longer available. Slowly, I am mentally also very tired, because my body is constantly fighting against new inflammations of the skin, teeth or the like, because the immune system is so down. Normal work is sometimes hardly possible.

    Side effects: Itching; Hair loss

    Remicade for Morbus crohn

My mother (67 years old) has been accompanying this disease for 20 years now, and therefore also our childhood and today’s life. She has become a stoma wearer due to Crohn’s disease. Your disease has been in strong relapses, with your immune system, the skin, ears and nails have reacted very strongly with fungal infections, oozing and rashes. She hears virtually nothing without hearing aids. Now, in decision with my dad, she resorted to the straw Remicade. I also shared this decision in the absolute hope of being able to stop this disease. However, after the 4th infusion we learned that it was calming intestinal inflammation, but our mother has been feeling very poor since the last Remicade infusion. Your immune system is as good as on the ground. She has very little strength to move and only to me crutches or support. The simple walk to the toilet is not possible for her alone. She suffers from shortness of breath, vomiting in the morning, can eat only very small amounts of food. Reacts even after therapy termination 1.5 months ago with rashes, suppurative parotid gland, seizures in the outer extremities, which occur suddenly. Impotence, extremely weakened! Our mother needs since then a 24 h care! She has always been a fighter and has not been beaten by the disease for all these years, but this time we are all afraid that she will not make it! She has lost 15 kg in the last 1.5 months. What annoyed our family so much that a follow-up obligation of those doctors who gave her this therapy is not in the least felt! What can we do? Who knows how we can help our mother?

I have been getting a remicade every 8 weeks for about 2 years. I have MC with fistula formations. The fistulas are partially healed. But there are also new fistula walks occurred. Side effects from the infusion, except something dry facial skin, I do not have. Am again cut on a fistula this week. I am also not sure if the infusion has the desired effect. I also take 10 mg cortisone daily. I am 63 years old and have MC for 40 years. Through a lot of sports, I have the disease pretty much under control.

I have been taking Remicade for 1.5 years and had an allergic reaction after the second. You should be extra careful because the body forms antibodies. I have very positive results but also side effects such as very dry lips, nose or facial skin fatigue and me is faster really bad (after car rides or Dom rides) that has never been so. sometimes I have strong palpitations in my resting state. my doctor documents everything.

Nothing worked for me, so we chose Remicade. It helps very well. Since then eigtl. Had no more thrust. I get it every 6-8 weeks. But also often have stronger side effects, such. extreme body aches up to 2 days after infusion. Dizziness and extreme hair loss. The skin has since become very dry and unclean since then. But that’s all to endure. The pain coming from the MC are worse !!! I am glad that the Remicade strikes so well.

I’m convinced of the drug itself, it keeps its promise. I have been in control of my Crohn’s disease for almost 2 years with this drug. There are side effects, but these are more bearable than the discomfort of the MC.

Side effects: Headache; Increase in weight

    Remicade for Morbus crohn

I have been getting Remicade for almost 2 years now. I’m actually completely satisfied with that. Since then, I have virtually no problems at all. Unfortunately, I suspect that I am getting worse and worse. Get it only every 2 months, now I even have 11 weeks without. However, I felt so bad at the last infusions. I was totally sick and was totally depressed .. Got really bad migraine attacks. I have worse back pain after the infusion and I am getting thicker (have already changed diet and sports I do) and hair loss. But nothing changes. Otherwise, I am free to complain! Unless I have really bad emotional stress.

    Remicade for Morbus crohn

For my Crohn’s disease, since October 2008 I have been receiving prednisone intravenously and Remicade as an infusion. I have to go to the hospital for these medications. First, prednisone is injected. After that, I have to wait half an hour before the Remicadeinfusion is attached. The flow time of the infusion is at least 2 hours. Then wait another half hour. So about 4 hours of time currently every 8 weeks. Prednisone: – steroid acne – weight gain – full moon face – diffuse hair loss – susceptibility to infection Side effects Remicade: – fatigue (especially during and shortly after infusion) – susceptibility to infection
