Hello, Aza had taken to get away from the cortisone, but got a bad pancreatitis (pancreatitis) with hellish bumping, then rather the Chron. Then I got a long time Humira injections, in this time the Chron was barely noticeable really great. I hardly noticed side effects, only permanent mucus in the throat area (neck), which at night occasionally led to snoring. Disadvantage are the late consequences, which are not yet to estimate, which is why I now pause with Humira. Now I have Sulfasalazine, feeling tired, weight gain, fatigue and diarrhea day after day. So far not exactly the perfect solution. I also take prednisolone from time to time against joint pain, which probably has the most terrible side effects in the long run. Moon face, fast weight gain, bone loss, dependence. After 3 years of daily cortisone intake, withdrawal of the drug is difficult for the body. I suffered from bad tiredness because my body had to produce the active ingredient again.

    Prednisolone for Morbus crohn

I started with 60mg for 10 days. The first side effects were fast, I gained 10 kilos, got a big belly and a big face. Joint pain, severe reflux, swollen lymph nodes, fatigue, loss of libido, and irritability set in during treatment. At 20mg the complaints started from the beginning, the dosage was increased again to 50mg. Since the cortisone seems to have a bad effect, it should now be an immunosuppressant. I’m a bit clueless now and do not know if that’s the right thing. The use of cortisone, however, should be treated with caution in any case.

Since I take this medication, I have constipation. What is good for me with my illness. But you still worry. Clearly the risk is there that one takes to. But you get that down again. I’m an optimist.

    Prednisolone for Morbus crohn

I now take cortisone and pantoprazole after my third bad episode occurred during my Crohn’s disease. I have had much worse relapses with hospitalization and fewer side effects, but since that episode, cortisone has hit my heart. Started with 40mg per day and am now after a long bleaching phase and many setbacks at 10mg. It looks as if the disease is contained, but the side effects are quite annoying: 1. strong moon face 2. depression (now has to take antidepressants additionally, had a strong basic sadness 3. no satiety and binge eating (+ 8kg) 4 Severe fatigue and listlessness 5. Concentration difficulties 6. Mood swings 7. Stomach problems (but pantoprazole, helps quite well) Finally, cortisone is the only drug that strikes me during a spurt and even if I hate the side effects and feel ugly + sad I am I realize that I prefer to live like that, with the strong MC pain.

I take z. Time 50mg prednisolone daily, since I until the time before taking under 10 – 15 painful / convulsive u. bleeding stools daily suffered. Before I took 9mg Budenofalk, which was no longer sufficient in its effect. The onset of prednisolone occurred as quickly as the side effects. Already on the second day of intake, my complaints were reduced to a little over half. After 5 days I felt much better. Unfortunately, the following side effects were also added: – Water retention (especially in the abdomen – and hip area) – Dry mouth – Insomnia – inner restlessness – Loss of appetite – Increased thirst – Flatulence – Bleeding / spotting (take the pill too)

I was recorded stationaer and then had to start with 50mg cordison because I was not so good. But all the side effects really started when I had to sell. First, my sugar played crazy, depression and eyesight came to show that I am flickering something that also usually with a big headache in connection I think that’s the worst of all because I work and then my work can not perform because I am flickering on the computer can not read. Does anyone know when these side effects will finally lay down again? They have already become less but still there. Thank you for any information and I wish you all a good recovery !! Nicole

    Prednisolone for Morbus crohn

I have been taking Budenofalk in a very low dosage for 4 weeks (3mg in the morning and 3mg in the evening), before that I took about 6 weeks of prednisolone, starting with 40mg and then 5mg per week, at the beginning (40mg) I got the prednisolone very well tolerated and the pain and relapses were blown away, but I was very euphoric, even slightly hyperactive, had a lot of appetite and sleep disorders, and also with weight gain and water retention I had to fight (from 45kg to 59kg in 3 weeks.) I had a slight Rash in the third week, which lasted a good three weeks. At the end of the intake time, I was only depressed, the relapses set in again, I was dizzy, I had always a headache and strong eyesight on my right eye Now, as I said, I’ve been taking Budenofalk for 4 weeks, the dizziness is still there, and there’s always a lot of nausea I don’t have any more serathercings and my weight has gone down a bit (56kg), which is partly because of the occasional diarrhea. I suffer from mild anxiety and because of this I am often quite sad and depressed, which often ends in crying. Fatigue is one of the side effects in my case, too, and I have the feeling that all my strength has left my body and that even climbing stairs is a burden to me.

    Prednisolone for Morbus crohn

prednisolone acis was prescribed for my crohn’s disease. It is one of those medications that you know have tremendous side effects, but you have to take them because you can not help it. When my crohn started three years ago, I had to take the drug for almost a year, up to the highest dose of 100 mg per day. overweight, full moon face, bulls neck, sweat attacks, hyperactivity, insomnia – all this has happened to me. after that it was slowly faded out. Now I take it back since yesterday days, because my chron has deteriorated rapidly and I can not stand it from pain. And lo and behold, an hour after taking the miracle happened, the intestinal rebellion came to a standstill, I cried with happiness, because this pain that drove me mad, subsided. I start to become human again. That’s why I accept all that there are side effects. until just a better, lasting solution for my illness is found and the pain of the drug humira, which has cost me almost three years of life quality because useless in my case, is over. Cortisone, like many other medicines that are just awesome, is important and good. the goal and purpose is that you can live reasonably well again, however. I am grateful that there is such a thing.

Kortision helps quickly and relatively well. If only there were not all the side effects. I have to take it since 01/2006 at different intervals and dosages. In 09/2007, my inflammation became so severe that only a dose of 120mg over 10 days remedy. Then it went weekly in 20 steps down to 80mg, then back up to 100mg (because of the inflammation). Then down to 60mg. Then up to 80mg again. Then I made it to 20mg and had to go up to 60mg again and then managed to sneak out. The salvation process was very painful for me. I was startled by leg cramps at night, had strong cortisone acne, severe mood swings, sleep disorders, bulls, weight gain up to 17kg, endless water retention, heavy legs, fatigue, euphoria, Cushing’s syndrome, severe vision problems in both eyes, heartburn. In the meantime, I did not leave the house for about six weeks. The following has helped me with the symptoms: magnesium for cramps; Stinging nettle, bowl salts No. 7 (e.g., the hot sieves, ten tablets in a glass of boiling water, stirring with a plastic spoon) against the water retention; Drüfusan against cortisol acne; Rennie against the heartburn; Psyllium husks against diarrhea, constipation and flatulence (life threatening in stenoses); Vitasprint (vitamin B12) for fatigue. IMPORTANT IN THIS TIME IS THE INTRODUCTION OF IDEOS (calcium preparation, it prevents, inter alia, osteoporosis) (there is the way, by prescription)! Cortisone is a difficult time, but it will pass someday.
