Methotrexate for Morbus crohn
I have taken methotrexate for about three years. The first year in syringe form (subcutaneously) afterwards in Tabalettenform. Dose: 20 mg once a week. The drug works very well with me. I have not had a boost in 3 years and my blood counts are great. After taking the tablets, I feel pretty bad for exactly 24 hours. Nausea, dizziness. I have never vomited, but I always feel like I have to vomit. After about 24 hours, everything is fine again. Every three weeks, I go to my family doctor and have my blood checked. Considering how bad I was before starting with Methotrexate, I have to say the drug is great. Of course every week is a complete day, but without the pills, I would feel sick almost every day.
