    Clarithromycin for Lung infection

I was prescribed because of known penicillin allergy extra antibiotic without penicillin. Had from the beginning an unpleasant taste in the mouth until about 4-5 hours after taking persisted. This did not bother me, however, because it otherwise very well and quickly worked After a week, unfortunately, I have also developed an allergy to ckarithromycin, having a very itchy rash all over my body.

    Side effects: Itching rash

Clarithromycin for Lung infection; Bronchitis (acute)

Visual disturbances (as if a lightbulb flickers up and down), loss of taste, loss of odor, complete drying out of all mucous membranes in the mouth, nose, eyes; No more saliva in the mouth while taking it – completely dry! Swelling in the throat, numbness – asleep – on arms and legs, total weakness, anxiety, panic attacks, insomnia – 36 hours awake! Complete over-stimulation, over-twist, change in nature, metal taste in the mouth, taking it was like torture for me, since I did not dare to sell the drug, for fear of resistance. After the experiences I would not take it anymore. Presumably, I have suffered organ damage to the liver and bile. Am still not fully recovered after 2 months and feel constantly bad. Hopefully the damage is repairable. During the illness, I contacted the manufacturer and described the side effects. I was advised to take only the half of the remedy. After that, the complaints went back slightly, but came back. The remedy was then discontinued by my family doctor.

    Clarithromycin for Lung infection

Diagnosis: atypical lingual pneumonia Therapy: 14 days clarithromycin 500mg + ACC Hexal then 7 days Josalid 500mg + ACC Hexal thereafter 9 days Avelox 400mg (10 days therapy canceled on 9th day) Course: After the first week of therapy with clarithromycin there was an improvement However, the discomfort I still had purulent sputum. After the second week, an improvement in the radiograph was evident, but the purulent sputum, partially with traces of blood, persisted. After the third week (after 7 days Joslid) continue to shade in the radiograph and unchanged purulent ejection. After the fourth week (after 9 days Avelox) the purulent sputum remained unchanged. I did not consent to any further x-rays since I had already X-rayed four times at this time. From the fifth week and suspected serious side effects with Avelox, I discontinued the drug. Further treatment was with Symbicort forte. Effectiveness of Avelox: I can not give any information about that, as there was no improvement in the symptoms during the therapy. I doubt that in my particular case Avelox should have been prescribed. Suspected side effects with Avelox: The evening after taking Avelox for the first time, blurred vision, heart trouble, and noticeably increased heart rates occurred. On the second day I had visual disturbances, heart problems, high pulse rate and disturbances of balance, which made it impossible for me to walk upright. I lay down and continued to experience severe dizziness, headache and nausea (without vomiting). There were motor disturbances and articulation difficulties. Finally, I got extreme anxiety and racing heart. I spent the next 1-2 hours cowering on the floor until my condition returned to normal. However, it remained the next few days with a significantly reduced fine motor skills and phased headaches and heart problems. On the ninth day of taking Avelox, there was a spontaneous mortal fear and palpitations. The condition, which lasted about 3-4 hours, I overcame in crouching position. The next day, I changed the attending pulmonary specialist and, with his consent, stopped taking Avelox. Note on the ratings: The effectiveness and value for money were rated with 5 points, as the website of Sanego does not allow abstention. In fact, I can not judge whether a complete cure of the pneumonia has occurred and which drug may have caused it. Also for the price-performance ratio I can not give any information, since the medicines were taken over by the health insurance.

    Clarithromycin for Lung infection

For a few days now, I’ve noticed that I’m getting incredibly sad and even crying on television more often without reason. Think that one should also classify it under anxiety. Should allegedly occur only very rarely! Get 500mg twice a day

    Side effects: Depressions; Anxiety states

    Clarithromycin for Lung infection

Have taken the drug Clarithromycin 500 due to a delayed pneumonia (7 days in the morning and evening each 1×500). At first only metallic taste and a bit churned. On days two and three then crass side effects have occurred, insomnia with total over-revulsion, hallucinations, severe chest pain left, permanent tachycardia, nosebleeds, stomach pain, diarrhea, so almost nothing is not on the list of side effects … have the drug then arbitrarily immediately discontinued and it took about 1 full day before the symptoms subsided (not completely disappeared). After consultation with my stressed doctor on clarithromycin an unusual reaction indicates an intolerance, stop immediately (I had already done so at that time). A year ago I took a combination antibiotic treatment for Heliobacter, including clarithromycin, which I had no side effects at the time. It was definitely borderline and the strong pressure in the left chest, the heart racing and the hallucinations, I also panic. Luckily, it stayed the same and the reaction is slowing down … nevertheless, I’m now warned about this drug / drug and extremely careful about antibiotics. As a short edge info, I am a vegetarian (so no meat / fish antibiotics, etc.), have a gluten intolerance and Hashimoto.
