Actual situation: start of therapy after the onset of the first symptoms after 24 hours. At the moment Tamiflu has been taken for 3.5 days and another 1.5 days are planned. At the moment clear improvement of the disease. On the first day simultaneous administration of paracetamol and Mucosolvan (self-produced). No medication other than Tamiflu from the second day. Side effect: change in taste perception, more specifically the sense of smell. The taste qualities sweet, sour, etc. are taken care of by me without disturbance. When taking especially dairy products (except cheese) and passion fruit juice it comes to an unpleasant aftertaste, which is currently best comparable to the smell of natural gas. This can also be produced without food, but not as strong as in connection with the products mentioned, by conscious sniffing . Coffee, pumpkin soup, baked fish, boiled celery and potatoes have no negative influence. Apples promote the occurrence only very slightly.

    Tamiflu for Fever; Flu

Dysgeusia. My 5-day use of Tamiflu is already 1 week ago. Nevertheless, a slight taste disorder has lagged behind. Many things seem to have a bitter aftertaste and aftertaste for me. I do not like coffee anymore.

    Tamiflu for Flu

Our son had high fever flu and all side effects described with flu. Since I travel a lot for work, I took Tamiflu prophylactically. The first two days 2 x 1, then only once a day 1x. On the first two days of use after about 1/2 hour moderate abdominal pain, which lasted about 2 hours. From the third day on, no abdominal pain. Flatulence all the time and also flavor changes I had. But after completing the taking but completely subsided. Chair change, I have also found. Skin reddening occurred on the decolt and neck during the period of ingestion. Also, the skin discolored on contact with warm water (red hands, red feet) and I had the feeling of a slight temperature insensitivity. Otherwise, everything was bearable, no after-effects and the flu I did not get until today.

    Side effects: Stomach pain; Flatulence

    Tamiflu for Flu

Unfortunately, I can not recommend Tamiflu. I am suffering from mild endogenous bronchial asthma, and the medication completely blocked my airways after about 3 hours. As I subsequently learned from my pulmonary doctor, this is called a bronchospasm. For me, this was a borderline situation that I was able to solve myself with Salbutamol Spray. In addition, after a very short time, it has become very bad for me. Without nausea, but just bad. Asthmatics should be very careful with this drug, even the second flu drug Relenza is not suitable for asthmatics. So I can not make any judgment regarding the actual effect of Tamiflu. I only know that I can not take it again.
