Ciprofloxacin for Cold; Pain (acute); Fever

Due to my work on the construction site, in the cold and humid season at the beginning of 2008, I had a very cold cold with all that was necessary (chills, fever up to 41 ° C on two days). In addition, there was severe kidney pain and severe pain when urinating and bright red urine (blood in the urine). However, apart from ciprofloxacin, I have not taken any other medicines, including no fever-lowering or cold-reducing agents. Only herbal tea with honey. Even before taking Ciprofloxacin, I sweated extremely badly. Have taken 3x daily every 8 hours 500mg Cipro. Already in the course of the second day the urine became cleaner, by the end of the third day he was evidently free of blood. Just as fast, the pain of urination decreased. Then switched to a dose of 1x 500mg per day for the next four days. After that I did not have any kidney pain anymore. I really did not notice any side effects. What surprised me a little bit was that I was sweating extremely hard (by the tea with natural honey and well packed in bed, this was also intended by me), but relatively easily the high temperature of over 40 ° C in four days, of it on two days to 40.8 or 41 ° C (measured with Qecksilberthermometer in the armpit) tolerated, it was more pleasant with each day. No idea why.

    Ciprofloxacin for Fever

Almost all of the side effects described in the package insert have occurred after only 3 tablets. Due to severe nerve and muscle pain, I went to the hospital. Blood levels were very poor (especially the liver levels increased to over 400), and inflammatory levels were catastrophic. Knee, foot and shoulder joints and some fingers swelled and I was unable to walk for several days. After a 10-day hospitalization, I was released. Blood levels have returned to normal within about 3 months. Muscle and nerve pain occur again and again, as well as depressive moods. Stay away from ciprofloxacin! It is probably prescribed by the doctors, especially with urinary tract infections, because it is very cheap!

Ciprofloxacin for A headache; Cold; Fever

After taking Ciprofloxacin 250 mg (2×1 tablet daily) I got heartburn, bloating and nausea that led to vomiting. The side effects occurred from time to time faster after taking the drug (initially after about 6 hours, at the end after 1 hour). After taking an antiemetic (gastronertone) the nausea was gone within 1 hour.
