    Lamictal for Depression; Epilepsy

I took Cipralex for 9 months, 20 mg daily in the morning. Everything was fine in the beginning, I tolerated it very well, my complaints were much better than before. The first side effects were: Weight gain up to 15 Kg in the 9 months, I could not cry anymore, I was so caught up in the drug that I could no longer grief. I was totally tired and exhausted, beaten off, impotent, had no desire for anything, could not get me up to anything. I had a lot of sweats, increased tremors, bad headaches and muscle aches. It was hard for me to get up, I just sat in my room. In May, I discontinued after consultation with my doctor Cipralex. Since then I have increased this Restles Leg syndrome, the so-called restless legs. This soon gets me out of my mind, I can not sleep before one or two o’clock in the morning, have very confused dreams, wake up with sweat. And since I dropped off Cipralex, I’m again very close to the water built, I was very much missing that I can just cry. I do not recommend taking Cipralex for longer than necessary, especially in combination with other psychotropic drugs. The effect can be affected. I can only say that Cipralex helped me very well at the time of the crisis, but after prolonged ingestion, my life has been seriously affected to the detriment. I wish you all that you will recover and live a good and healthy life without Cipralex and all the other psychotropic drugs.

    Lamictal for Epilepsy

I’ve been taking Lamictal for 10 years now, before that I took Timonil and Leptilan. At Timonil, there were audiobooks once a month (all as seen in the VCR’s search sweep), which disappeared with Lamictal. In Lamictal in recent years after the long-term treatment, concentration disorders, word finding disorders, forgetfulness and severe back pain caused by diagnosed osteoarthritis in the spine on. Yesterday I saw a documentary on television about the addition of aluminum in drugs as an active agent enhancer and the effects. The film totally shocked me, describing the very symptoms I had, the feeling of dementia and the waning bone. I searched the internet for the ingredients of Lamictal and lo and behold, it is aluminum in the drug. The film wrote about how toxic aluminum affects the body and how it can not be excreted. So I am permanently poisoned. I’ll drop the drug as soon as possible and take something else. I can only warn against it. My back pain and stiffness have become unbearable, I can not sit in a position for long, stand or lie down. It hurts like hell. I’m seizure-free with Lamictal, but the side effects are too bad for me. Especially the word finding disorders and the lack of concentration, which has become much stronger through Lamictal. I’m also angry with the doctors I’ve been with and they’ve all said how good Lamictal is and how tolerable it is. I have often wanted a different medication, but I was always advised against it because I am seizure-free and would be so well-adjusted. In addition, I often have depression and delusions, feel persecuted and perceive people as a threat. Also, the muscle twitching described on the package insert I have. However, they did occur before I took Lamictal, then I took Timonil when I had muscle twitching on my face that occurs in stressful situations and has not been resolved to this day.

    Lamictal for Epilepsy

Daughter gets Lamictal for 2.5 years, approx. 5 seizures per year, 125 – 0-75. If the tablets are turned on in the evening, no one can fall asleep before 1 o’clock at the earliest. Do not get out of bed in the morning, constantly tired, the 6th and 7th school lesson pass by pretty much. Grade average has dropped from 1.8 to 3.3 in 6 months, has to work hard to keep that at least. Memory and concentration greatly reduced: 150% work for 80% result! If she does not sleep at least 1.5 hours after school, she can not even do her homework. Will be switched to another drug in April.

Depakine: It was awful! Weight gain (about 10 – 15 kilos), permanent fatigue (!!), could not get up, Could not express me linguistically – words omitted me, could not articulate me more. Could not learn anymore, did not notice anything anymore (big concentration difficulties), grades were bad, I was getting worse and worse with these things. almost slept and ate more (after the increase ..) The doctor said that it was not because of the medication, but because I had started to study and everything was new to me …. schmafu …. well, then a doctor change! private doctor. Switching to Lamictal – I was suddenly much better, first exam on the uni, note 2, totally great. weight loss, concentration improved again – now I’m really good !!! I can only say: trust your body and do not trust your doctor. I’ve always thought (when I was still small na, they already know what they are doing … that’s not true ….. – long process of cognition =) ok, then good luck people

    Lamictal for Epilepsy

I currently take Lamictal morning and evening and 100mg each. I have been on this drug for a year, but I have seizures all the time. At the moment I am already very pessimistic, because the drug has no effect. I can not really judge if I would recommend Lamictal or not. I think that it does not show the same effect on everyone. Side effects are unknown to me, except partial headache and tiredness.

    Side effects: Headache; Fatigue
