Amitriptyline for Disc prolapse
Took the drug regularly once a day. Initially, a whole reduced to a half after some time – depending on the complaint. At present, only a quarter, if by straining the lumbar spine or too much sitting again, the nerve canal is narrowed and this leads to strong fasciculate symptoms and then also to sudden convulsions – especially in sleep. On the advice of a new doctor for about 4 months on Limptar switched. It is free of prescription and helps me against the calf cramps. If the fasciculative symptoms are very severe, I reluctantly (or not) resort to amitriptyline. Ungern, as gradually strange side effects / symptoms were associated with the intake: 1. Urine flow and strength of the urine stream decreases to a great extent. The complete emptying of the bladder is possible only with much patience and time. 2. Severe diarrhea – not at all at the beginning but then regularly. In the morning mostly after getting up completely normal, but then about 15 minutes after breakfast very strong intestinal activity and quite heavy toilet urgency, which does not allow any delay. Discharge urge is also very strong during the session. 3. Finger and toe nails grow very irregularly and slightly deformed. Upon discontinuation of the drug, the change in growth gradually becomes visible, as the regrowth of the nails under the drug, e.g. on the big toes looks significantly changed (wavy brittle form), as the current regrowth without drug the smooth, as it was to have taken without ever amitriptyline, looks. 3.Unregularly occurring numbness effects in the fingertips, nose, lips, ears and genital area, in the lower part of the scrotum and the penis on the glans tip. 4. Increasing herpes in the nasal mucosa (leathery and very difficult to remove poplar formation) open small wounds in the lower mucosal area. 5. After about one year of use, deafness occurs on the upper lip, with no more or very tedious healing vertical tear (sometimes several adjacent) on this, on. Also, a herpes formation is felt in these cracks. Unfortunately herpes remedies failed ALL only Soventol HC (multiple times as allowed). 6. Almost every day irritable stomach syndrome meisst at the end of the esophagus or stomach entrance. Personally, I assume that not only the synapses but also fine nerve endings are inhibited by amitriptyline in the flow of information. Since I only provide amitriptyline for emergencies, there has been no cracking and the nasal mucosa and also my stomach has calmed down. Only the diarrhea did not improve after months, whereupon I will consult a gastroenterologist these days.
