Fluoxetine for Anxiety and panic attacks; Depression

For the first few days and weeks, I was often very tired, but not directly unpowered – it was really tired. I was also a little sick and sometimes a bit dull in the stomach. In fact, I also noticed that the suicide risk has increased, but since I was not very suicidal, this increase was not too bad. All of these side effects are completely gone after about two weeks. The only problem I have with fluoxetine is that most of the time I notice that my fear is still there, but not showing, being suppressed. There could be much worse side effects, I think. Overall, I am very happy with the intake of fluoxetine (by the way I take 20mg per day), only the first few weeks were not very good.

Fluoxetine for Anxiety and panic attacks; Depression

My experience with fluoxetine was unfortunately negative. Because of depression but also because of recent panic attacks and anxiety, I wanted to try fluoxetine, since you do not gain as much weight as other ADs. My doctor said at the beginning that I have to be patient for at least 3 weeks (10mg) in the morning, but the NW were so strong after 2 weeks that I could not take a day longer to take fluoxetine. I have lost 3 kilos in 2 weeks because the appetite is completely gone and my panic has become 100x worse, I could not sleep anymore and I was even more depressed than before Fluoxetine! I do not want to scare anyone here, it may help others, but then I changed the drug from day to day (paroxetine 10mg) and after one tablet the fear was immediately better! The panic almost gone! With fluoxetine you really have to be patient, but if you get the feeling that things are getting worse and not better then please change the medication.

Fluoxetine for Anxiety and panic attacks; Depression

Increased drive already after about 1 week noticed, but at the same time extreme nervousness 2-3 hours after ingestion, which ended in unsustainable panic attacks 🙁 the clock could then set when it starts again … have also been told in the time I talk and move much faster, totally restless and fidgety … I started with 10mg for one and a half weeks, then increased to 15mg for another week and a half, now I should sneak it out again because I can not stand it (hardly able to work during the day) A pity, for people with just depression, probably a great drug!
