Hello, 14 days before Christmas I let me pull the Mirena. After 3 days, there was a significant improvement and until today I am doing really well again. I have joy of life again and I also like to go back to sleep. It was hell, day and night. I had them for 3 years and never again !!

Mirena for Dizziness; Pain (back); Fatigue; A headache

Hello, tomorrow it’s been a week since I decided to wear a mirena on the advice of my FÄ and I can only say that I regret this decision every day since then. Surely there are women who tolerate the Mirena very well. They will also seldom have the need for me to share their experiences with safety as those who are as or similar to me. And I clearly belong to the women who see the cause of their illnesses in the HS and would like to get rid of them immediately. I felt the need to get out after 20 years of a pill that was interrupted only by a pregnancy, and I was actually a hormone-free form of contraception. Therefore, I made an appointment with my doctor to let me clarify the possibilities here. In this consultation, she praised me then the benefits of Mirena in such a convincing way that I moved away from my actual plans and finally let me issue a recipe for the Mirena. She described the hormonal influence on the body as so slight that my misgivings in that direction dissipated. The brochure of the manufacturer gave it to me also in the hand and I have the advantages shown, unfortunately, very hasty and much too uncritical can be misleading (even this forum, I have unfortunately only discovered after inserting). At the beginning of the next menstrual period, I immediately had an appointment and immediately drove into practice the next day to be able to count myself among the lucky wearers. I would have left it! Already the insertion has brought me back to the bottom of the facts – it hurt really hard, and I’m sure not worried or sensitive to pain otherwise. Also my cycle made me from the moment considerable problems. When after 5 minutes quite pain in the lower back area occurred, the doctors commented that it could not have been triggered by the Mirena; after all, that would be in the stomach and not in the back. After stabilizing somewhat, I drove home and spent the rest of the day on the sofa, because from the time I got there, I felt increasingly sick and dizzy. So the whole week went into the country. The nausea comes and goes (it reminds me in this form the first two months of my pregnancy) and all the time I feel like I’m on cotton wool. I’m totally exhausted after this week, can not work and drag me through the day. To top it all, in addition to the recurrent pain in the lower back, I also have cardiac arrhythmias, which were already there before, but have also clearly become more violent after insertion. Unfortunately, I did not read all the reviews on this page until after the first two days I still did not feel better and therefore I researched for the first time on side effects in the net and landed here. Some fellow sufferers, unlike me, have come a long way with all the complaints and I’m just sorry. I have come to the conclusion and can only say that I will not do this malaise for half a year. Luckily, my family is really great. My husband is particularly sorry – he has finally urged me after the past weekend to get an appointment with another doctor and let me withdraw from it if necessary HS. The costs are secondary to my well-being. This helps me totally and I am also aware that not every woman – especially with regard to the costs – can behave in their decision accordingly and wants. I will go on Friday and assume that my episode Mirena will then be finished. This comforts me through the extremely noticeable nausea even in this moment. All in all, it can only be said that the Mirena is an expensive experiment and one can only advise everyone to first think more about considering alternatives and not just inform oneself.

Mirena for Pain (joint); A headache

I’m sooo mad !! This beforehand … Have for 7 months, the Mirena spiral (due to heavy bleeding, iron deficiency). Have hardly any bleeding – but that is the only thing that works. Otherwise I have the following symptoms for three months: – from one day to the other daily joint pain in the fingers – again headaches – strong susceptibility to tension (especially neck area) – permanently cold hands – tiredness – sensitive breasts – 6 kg increased in 6 months ( despite exercise and normal food). Certainly a lot of – water retention in the legs and associated with something – stronger varicose veins I was in the last three months: – once with the gynecologist (The spiral is actually very well tolerated, you are probably exhausted., Working too much, right?) – twice with different family doctors with twice blood findings at intervals of one month: no gout, no rheumatism. Probably finger arthritis, because you can unfortunately do nothing, except ointment lubricate (I was horrified !!! And I was afraid, how to continue!) – 8 times with the massage á 70 euros for the persistent neck pain – and have hours of my life for the independent search on the various complaints spentbecause apparently no doctor can think combined !! That’s just crazy! Since a few days, I suspect and at least since reading the other stories of suffering, I’m sure (ALL, completely SAFE) where all this comes from this Mirena spiral! And I wonder too: how can such a thing be allowed !! Have the gynecologist already spoken to tape, that I want to have an appointment immediately. Am SOOOO SAUER on this WOMAN !!! (Incidentally, I paid 500 euros for the insert Please pay cash and without invoice!). – I will print the testimonials and give them to the FAREWELL. I’m glad if the thing is out and with the heavy bleeding I’m getting better after this horrible experience also better.

Mirena for Mood swings; Cyst formation; Hurt; A headache; Pain (acute)

Hi Guys! I can not believe what I read here !!! Today Google I breast tenders Mirena and then I come across this page. Thought it was not the hormone spiral. Just as my gynecologist has told me that the Mirena is not responsible for breast tenderness and certainly not for mood swings and slight irritability. Now I understand. I have the Mirena 4 years ago and 10 Montaten use and my gynecologist has called me no side effect. Sure, at 22, it always sounds good if you do not have to think about contraception for 5 years and you will not get any menstruation! And that the Mirena acts locally and does not pump the whole body full of hormones. Calculated on the years, the Mirena is also cheaper, she told me. Why should I ask synonymous because of side effects if it all sounds so great! Since I was young and stupid I must confess honestly. The insertion was not so painful. She has given me a remedy that widens and stuns the uterus. So it was just unpleasant pulling. Have spotting every month and often take 5 to 7 days. During the annual examinations she often told me: So it is very rare that the women who wear the Mirena regularly have menstruations or spotting. (Nice for the majority of these women) In the ultrasound, she also often found a cyst on the ovaries, but 90% of them disappear by themselves. So the cause of abdominal pain found. Never had cysts before !!! Then she prescribed a gel for breast tenderness. She could have smeared that in her hair, too. From month to month, the pain in the breasts is more and more and they are hot, hard and riiiiiesig and there are nodules to feel. My friend already asked me why they are so riiiiiesig? He is rarely allowed to touch them because they are very sensitive. I would only be interested in how much profit per Mirena jumps out at the doctors. Because of my impure skin, I was also the dermatologist and prescribed me again anoint, detergent, etc. for treatment and he said it was the conversion of the contraceptive. Well, this is almost 5 years ago and it is still the sameSo if I count the drugs for the impure skin and the gels for the breast breakdown together, then I have saved myself in contrast to the pill at all! On the contrary!! I’m glad if I get pulled in 2 months and I’m curious how life feels afterwards! 😉 Greetings Dani

Mirena for Sleep disorders; Mood swings; Libido disorders; Acne; Cycle disorder; A headache; Pain (acute)

I am shocked and do not even know where to start writing … I had Mirena put on after the birth of our third child, because I put special emphasis on the safety of contraception 🙂 headaches and bleeding over half a year, it started. Then one after the other came: bad mood, mood swings, Ausraster where I stand partially off and wonder about myself. I almost always have abdominal pain and the libido is not only zero, but really moves in the minus area! Then it went parallel with pimples in the face (is getting worse !!!) And sleep problems continue. Now night sweats were added. And so hard that I have to change at night. The spiral has been in it for only a year, but seen a year too long, because I had no fun in life at the time. Next week the thing will come out irrevocably !!!

Mirena for Aggressiveness; Cyst formation; Hurt; A headache

Hello, I have now let Mirena use a second time after the first 5 years. I always thought that since I somehow did not tolerate the pill after several years and that we had finished our wish to have two children, it was the best solution for me (us). But the more often I talk to my friends and I get to know myself on the web, the more I play with the idea of having this thing removed. Now to the side effects – I – for many years – not knowing that this could come from the Mirena – rumschleppe with me: I could not explain, where the constant restlessness, constant mood swings, the constant headache, the total loss, desire to feel sex, come here. I wrote it on the stress, two small children, work, household, etc., but they are but wish children, I like going to work for my life, my husband is the best I could wish for. When changing to the new Mirena but now constantly new side effects have occurred: I constantly have a pull in the chest (as if the milk einschießt), for some months I have abdominal discomfort, my gynecologist says, there are some cyst but no problems (in his opinion!), I constantly have the feeling that I am sitting on the bladder, so examined bladder, then came a bladder infection, antibiotics, then the symptoms were not better, so off to the urologist, super – cystoscopy (yes you do everything with), again nothing. In between, over and over again (as has been the case for years), sudden headaches, out of the blue, which then often last for hours. Somehow you already feel like a hypochondriac. When asked if perhaps the spiral would be to blame for all the misery, you only get sympathetic shaking of the head. The more I deal with it now, the more mature the idea of banishing Mirena from my body. Ingrid

Mirena for Dizziness; Pain (back); Aggressiveness; Mood swings; Libido disorders; A headache

First of all, I would like to say that I searched for the cause of my complaints for a long time and that no doctor could help me. I am 35 years old and had the second spiral laid about a year ago. A short time later, I was admitted to the hospital with a suspected stroke. I had blurred vision, dizziness and speech interruption. The numerous investigations showed only how healthy I am. This incident was soon followed by strong mood swings, depression, hair loss and severe headaches. By chance I became aware of this forum today and after so long now finally have an answer to my suffering. I thought I was going crazy. Tomorrow I have an appointment directly with a gynecologist to have them removed. I can not completely advise against the HS because in the first years I was satisfied but for me it is no longer in question. There are certainly women who tolerate it well, but the women who might be prone to mood swings anyway I would not recommend them. I’m curious how long it takes me to feel better after the removal.
